This is certainy good news.  Progress is being made.  I'll bet those handcuffs brought back memories to the Kalpoes.  Too bad Joran wasn't there to see it.  I really find it unfair that he is not on Aruba now to watch the activities.  It would be good for him to watch and learn.  he he

joran is toast

I know that I'm one of those annoying Pollyanna types,  Embarassed  but I can't think the Dutch would bother to have people handcuffed in order to get into the house if they didn't have something specific in mind they wanted to see.

wouldnt it have made more sense to just get a search warrant?

I think they took them out for icecream to be honest

Maybe they didn't want the Kalpoes present for the search like PvdS was not allowed when they searched the VDS home?

thats possible

Exactly, Janet!  I couldn't agree more.  I would also volunteer to take a lie detector test and encourage my sons to do the same.  I love them more than life but if one of them caused the death of another human being, I'd hand them over if I knew it.  It would kill me to do so and I would never be the same but right is right no matter who it involved.  And no one loves their children more than I do.  But hiding them would go against everything I believe in and have taught them.  I couldn't live with myself if I concealed what they had done.

JMO.

you have to remember, these scrawny punks were raised by an idiot that taught them that its ok to lie, all big people do it.

House inspection conducted in the Holloway case.

A house inspection was conducted today early in the morning at the residence
of D.K. and S.K., both suspects in the disappearance case of Natalee
Holloway. The inspection was conducted by the prosecutor and by experts of
the team that since April 16 is in charge of the investigation of this case.

An inspection is a coercive measure aimed at observing or analyzing a
specific place or circumstances under which a criminal offence may have been
committed, or to establish facts related to a criminal case, without having
to resort to a stricter measure, which is the house search. An inspection
can take place outdoors, indoors in buildings or in houses.

This particular inspection took place inside the house of the
above-mentioned suspects.

A house inspection is different from a house search. They are both coercive
measures, but a house search is conducted by an examining judge and its
purpose is to seize objects or to arrest a suspect.

A house inspection, on the other hand, is conducted by a prosecutor and its
purpose is to observe and analyze a certain place or situation.

A prosecutor is at all times authorized to conduct an inspection in all
places, although the law imposes stricter rules for conducting an inspection
inside a house. This procedure is laid down in articles 155-158 and article
188 of the Aruba Code of Criminal Procedure.

It is not necessary for the resident of the house to give his consent for
the house inspection to take place. However, the resident should be present
at that time and should be informed of the contents of the inspection
warrant.

If the resident refuses to cooperate and obstructs the inspection, he can be
removed from the place by law enforcement officers.

The Public Prosecution will not make any statements on the specific
investigation that took place during the house inspection.

The prosecutor had a warrant and "viewed" inside the house.

I'm glad to see any statement from the prosecutor's office.  Even nicer when it explains something.  It's tough to read history according to MF or Glenda.

I'm confused by your comment?  What I just posted is the official release by the prosecutors office of the action that took place early this morning at the Kalpoe residence.  Has nothing to do with prior searches (if that's what you meant)  Wink
