Okay, I've got to jump in on this one. (Although I am not a geography whiz.)

Some of you are confusing French Guiana with Guyana.

Guyana was formerly a Dutch colony, is located between Suriname and Venezuela, also borders Brazil and the Atlantic. It later became a British colony and English is the official language. This is where Jim Jones established Jonestown, where in the late 70s nearly 1,000 followers "drank the Koolaid" (suicide). Just prior to that they killed a U.S. Congressman (Ryan?) who went with a small party to investigate queries from people concerned about relatives being "brainwshed" etc.

French Guiana is a French colony, located between Suriname and Brazil, and also faces the Atlantic. It was the site of the famous penal colony, Devil's Island. French is the language.

Joe Tacopina has just said he is considering civil action against the Dutch authorities as the bones may not have come a a chicken but they may have come from the colonel himself..
