FINALLY caught up!

Guys, that screen is for backseat viewing, and I don't think it's on the same plane as Deepak's head.

The green from the lights would lead me to believe that those windows were definately tinted.

Surely the vin number was recorded when it was impounded. Couldn't they look up public records to see if it matched Deepak's title to the car? Or couldn't they, even now look to see if it appears to be tampered with?

I didn't realize that Deepak and Satish even had a sister, but she was mentioned in tonight's line-up.

How do we know that Joran wasn't the 3rd man pushing Deepak's behind his house?

Deepak seems to be the most panicked of the 3, IMO. He was worried, really worried. He was getting alibis, trying to hide the vehicle at Automotive Enterprise.....................is that what they were referring to in the police van? If so, that pretty well confirms that the intent was to obscure crucial eveidence by attempting to take it there. It wasn't for an oil change, that's for sure!

I know I am sounding like a cracked record BUT this would have enough headroom for DVD screen etc.

I'm encouraged that Kock said that because they came to test the cell phone location at 7:00am on a weekend that "if we had wanted to do anything we couldn't have". I'm hoping that's what they had in mind!

cbb I realise the DVD screen is for the back seat viewers - or maybe that is why they have so many MVA's with the drivers watching porn as they drive........
The question has been how they could fit the DVD screen above the windscreen without cutting a hole in the car roof.

Anyway I am off to do something for my thread about Mothers Day.
Happy Mothers Day to all the Mother Monkeys.

What year model was Deepak's car?

This is the interior dash of a 2003 Honda Civic. When compared to the photo we have, the dash right behind the steering wheel matches.

From Lee Broughton's FBI 302 dated 6/03/05; beginning page 1, paragraph 5, line 4:

Quote
While sitting in the casino a friend of Juron LNU (last name unknown) arrived.  Broughton does not know the friend's name, but remembers him to be fat and Chinese or Hawaiian looking.

At approximately 9:45pm, Broughton, Holloway, Juron LNU and others went to the hotel bar by the pool.

My question is has this friend of Joran's been identified?  Do we know who this is?

TIA

Just seems to me it would have to be a ceiling mounted flip down screen.

This is from a 2003 Honda Civic:

and this is Deepak's car again:

That material has been used forever in Hondas. I had an Accord wagon years ago with that exact fabric.

Ok, nevermind.  I answered my own question by re-reading more of the documents.  It was Andre Santos.  A few discrepancies between his statement and Lee's, but nothing major.  Lee isn't clear about whether Andre joined them at the bar after they left the blackjack table, which she states Joran did.  Andre states that he and Joran walked around the casino together and walked past the girls at the bar, when they (Nat) asked Joran if he was going to C & C's.

It's hard to find an interior picture that includes the roof: this is the best I can find, but it's a Honda Civic.

The headrests in the photos differ, but there are civics with those like Deepak has. I don't know why some are open at the bottom and others are not. ebay motors has LOTS of pictures!

Klaas had the ad where Deepak was selling the car and I'm sure it had the model, but I can't remember.

Not doubting you cbb

Look at it this way - if screen is - say 10 inches (which would be measured corner to corner to make it sound larger as they do with TV screens) and is ceiling mounted then it would have to hang down in front of the windscreen and not as it shows with the bottom edge of the screen above the windscreen top.
My point being that the ceiling in the car is much higher than usual with any model of car.

Freddy 6/12 a Time-Bomb

How did KJ and ALE manage to diffuse it?

Freddy presents a clear recollection of Joran telling him the HI story before the arrival of Natalee's family. And a clear recollection of being told the beach story the next day.

No doubt the post 6/12 pow-wow with Freddy/Paulus/Anita/Carlo was critical to the Sloot obstruction. And likely the event that convinced Carlo that *Joran was involved*.

KLPD has a lot to work with here. They can start by looking into why a known criminal meeting between a suspects family, lawyer and witness became a roadblock in the case instead of an asset to the investigation.
