I listened to the LE Press Conference today while I was at work.  I'm pretty sure the question was asked about any pictures of Caylee being under seal, and the answer was no.

Did anyone else hear that?

I used to think she knew what she was talking about, but she lost me a while ago on this case.  Don't remember exactly what it was she said, but I thought...she's lost her freakin' mind!  lol

I was stunned to hear her say that on HLN today.

Guess I should know not to fall for the rumor of the day.

Will Casey Anthony Be Katie Couric's "First Big Get" at ABC?


Is ABC, one of the most respected names in the news business, venturing to a place not even Jerry Springer or porn-movie company will dare go? Looks like it.Springer and Vivid Video both considered, but then rejected offering big bucks to Casey Anthony, the woman who's been condemned by the world for the death of her little girl, Caylee, even though a Florida jury acquitted her.

So is ABC going to pick up where those less lofty outlets left off?

"We are very interested in Casey Anthony," said a source at ABC News. "Like everyone else, we're following her case very closely, and we would love to have that get."

"She could," I was told. "But, ultimately Diane isn't that harsh. This is something that would be ideal for Katie Couric doing as her first big get. Talk about making a first impression."

As has been announced, Couric begins her still-unnamed talk show this fall (in Oprah's old time slot), and if Katie grilled Casey half as hard as Oprah did bogus book-writer James Frey, well, I think that would be one helluva a ratings-gold kick-off for Couric.

I did get a moment's peace this afternoon..I got to take my lovely grand daughter to a movie today, and afterwards cuddle with her, listen to her giggle, scratch her back and she even sat on my lap while looking at the Ipad, at 8 yrs old..she still loves grammy loving on her...pleasure that Cindy will never have again. She will never hold Caylee again or smell that sweet baby smell of her..but she will have her skank of a daughter that she fought so hard to get free from jail..even though she knows deep down that her own daughter murdered her only grand child..is that a fair trade off for you Cindy? wouldn't be for me...I could not live with myself if I did not honor my grand child by making sure that her murderer was properly punished..I wouldn't want her to have the death penalty,but I sure would not want her to go free either..not when I look into my grand daughters lovely trusting eyes..I could never disrespect her by coddling her murderer, daughter or no daughter...

geez..didn't realize that there was a part 2..what else can he spew that shows his ignorance?  I hope that all of them are watching the talk shows and seeing how very wrong they really were...no one has agreed with them..but says that we need to respect them..I agree with the other posters, respect is earned and this jury does not deserve any of our respect..

George was in "the mix"

State's motive (even though they knew it wasn't required) was weak

They were all disgusted with Casey's behavior for the 31 days

He keeps confusing indictment with what they were supposed to be doing...

When the Prosecution rested...he wanted more....this is going to be difficult.

He thought Ashton's smirking in Baez's closing was in bad taste.

He thought the "pigs in the blanket" comment was in bad taste.

The Defense was professional.

I think I'm going to be sick now.

Wow! Wendy Murphy on JVM just said that George Anthony should sue juror #11 for coming out in his interview and pretty much accusing George of murder with no facts to back him up....chitz getting deep!

Did anyone else hear Wendy Murphy say she thought Casey was "pimping" Caylee?  I have been waiting for someone else to comment on that as I think I must be hearing things.


 

Yes!  I was driving home from work and had it on the radio.  I missed the beginning.  She said something about photos being sealed and THAT is why ICA could not make a phone call for 31 days.  I couldn't figure it out as I didn't hear the whole thing.

Yuri Melich states that there are no sealed images of Caylee Marie.

Baez said "good morning" to them

Baez got as close to them as he could, as often as he could with the "drawings"...calendars etc.

They bought the DT line of bull...hook, line, and sinker.

Caylee deserved better, none of them EVEN TRIED to see through the smoke and mirrors.

I hope they have the decency to lie their way out of jury duty if they're ever called again!

Well good luck with that, how do you live with the fact you let a child murderer go free?  He knew she was guilty, he knew the other jurors did too, he is full of himself and I feel he was the driving force to a not guilty verdict.  Good Lord.

I have mixed feeling in regards to this lawsuit.  TES thrives on donations.  In other words ... the $112,000 belongs to donors who contributed ... some big time ... towards the search for Caylee Anthony ... not TES.  If a lawsuit is successful ... will designated donations be returned upon request?

I think the point here is that for one month and at the cost of 100K, TES was NOT working on a 'real' missing person's case.  Had they not been lied to, some other family may've found a loved one or been given some closure.  That is something that you'd have a difficult time putting a price on.  I can only imagine how frustrating that is to someone like Tim Miller.

I wonder if Katie Couric will do the interview.  I would think she has enough pull to either do it her way or not at all...and I don't think Casey would do it Katie's way.  Oprah had the Anthonys scheduled to appear on her show at one time during the past 3 years..but they cancelled ..she had the pull to say she would be asking the hard questions and they refused.  Evidently..they only went on TV interviews with people like Larry King who were sympathic to them and where they could control what topics were and were not allowed.

I can't see Katie doing an interview with Case....I can however see Geraldo if he had his way.

He is cocky and just seemed really turned off by the prosecution on ALL accounts...I wonder why?  I want to say that it was obvious of the dirty tricks by the defense team.  He probably had the hots for KC...who knows why.  I think its sad that they remembered Ashton for the smirk...what about BAEZ and his crap?
