Did Blink ever disclose what her thoughts were regarding the plumbing emergency at George and Cindy's? I thought she said she would talk about it after the trial was over. Also, did we ever find out why court was cancelled on the day when Judge Perry asked Mason if he had talked with his client and he said "yes" and then court was recessed for the day? I am not talking about the day when Mason asked for the competency evaluations. For some reason even the small elements of the case are starting to trouble me.

When the judge wouldn't allow the prosecution to strike that juror, I think #3, that they wanted to twice, I was very suspicious.

How could you possibly get a conviction when this juror says she cannot judge anybody?  And others said they did not want to be on the jury but the judge would not release them.

Why?

Also daily a member of the defense was allowed to comfort Casey, put a protective arm around her, hug her, pat her, etc. right in front of the jury planting the thought that this is how she should be treated and that she was some kind of victim and needed protection.  Why did the judge allow that display when no others were tolerated?

A win for the defense guaranteed no reversal on appeal and Judge Perry's record would remain unbroken.

I think he played a huge role in stacking the deck against the Prosecution whether intentional or not.

JMO and I realize very unpopular.

Not unpopular with me, Anna.
I noticed also and wondered about JP I liked him and read an interesting story on him but still all his threats to bozo and nothing coming of them, made me go hmmmm more then once
I agree Anna.  He is a bigger joke than judge Ito in my mind.  If he fails to sanction Baez then I will be even more mad at him!

I don't know if this has been discussed..but Cindy will not be prosecuted for perjury.  WTH?  How do these people keep getting off?  Dang!

Jeff Ashton said on one of the shows last week that he didn't think Cindy
would be charged with perjury.   He said that the prosecution sorta expects
family members to lie for the guilty party.  He said that it seems vindictive
for the state to turn around and charge them and it is hard to get a conviction.

Will Casey Anthony Be Katie Couric's "First Big Get" at ABC?

Is ABC, one of the most respected names in the news business, venturing to a place not even Jerry Springer or porn-movie company will dare go? Looks like it.Springer and Vivid Video both considered, but then rejected offering big bucks to Casey Anthony, the woman who's been condemned by the world for the death of her little girl, Caylee, even though a Florida jury acquitted her.

So is ABC going to pick up where those less lofty outlets left off?

"We are very interested in Casey Anthony," said a source at ABC News. "Like everyone else, we're following her case very closely, and we would love to have that get."

 ::snipping2::

"She could," I was told. "But, ultimately Diane isn't that harsh. This is something that would be ideal for Katie Couric doing as her first big get. Talk about making a first impression."

As has been announced, Couric begins her still-unnamed talk show this fall (in Oprah's old time slot), and if Katie grilled Casey half as hard as Oprah did bogus book-writer James Frey, well, I think that would be one helluva a ratings-gold kick-off for Couric.

 ::snipping2::

A rep for ABC News tells us, "We don't comment on bookings."

http://ca.eonline.com/uberblog/b251682_Will_Casey_Anthony_Be_Katie_Couric_s__quot_First_Big_Get_quot__at_ABC_.html

I know Oprah was on another network but she doesn't pay guests on her show.  We all know that ABC will pay big bucks for an interview with Casey.  I for one will not be watching it and will boycott any sponsors.  Don't know how we find out the sponsors if this happens if we don't watch though.

I did get a moment's peace this afternoon..I got to take my lovely grand daughter to a movie today, and afterwards cuddle with her, listen to her giggle, scratch her back and she even sat on my lap while looking at the Ipad, at 8 yrs old..she still loves grammy loving on her...pleasure that Cindy will never have again. She will never hold Caylee again or smell that sweet baby smell of her..but she will have her skank of a daughter that she fought so hard to get free from jail..even though she knows deep down that her own daughter murdered her only grand child..is that a fair trade off for you Cindy? wouldn't be for me...I could not live with myself if I did not honor my grand child by making sure that her murderer was properly punished..I wouldn't want her to have the death penalty, but I sure would not want her to go free either..not when I look into my grand daughters lovely trusting eyes..I could never disrespect her by coddling her murderer, daughter or no daughter...
ITA Cookie!  As I have said numerous times my granddaughter is a few months younger than Caylee and will be in Kindergarten this fall.  I love her so much and she is so trusting of us to take care of her.  I will miss her dearly when her daddy gets home from Afghanistan in a few weeks.

I don't know about anyone else, but it bothered me that when they voted in the jury room the vote was taken before any evidence was reviewed or any discussions.  The vote was taken by raising their hands, instead of writing their vote on a piece of paper that would be anonymous.

I think that's how they were able to pressure the 2 and then the 6 into changing their votes so quickly...or at all.

Just didn't seem right to me.

I've only served on one criminal case, and when we voted...it was on paper and anonymous.

We did eventually unanimously agree to a guilty verdict, and after starting with sentencing suggestions ranging from probation to 99yrs-life; we agreed to a sentence of 40 years.

Interesting article imo...

They disgust me...A killer of a two year old baby is someone they would love to have as her first big "get?"  Really?  Sick Sick Sick...Im over ABC.
ITA  I'm also losing respect for Katie Couric.  She has now been on every network.  We all know ABC has paid the Anthony's previously so why would they not want the big interview.

I had a terrible dream last night about this. I NEVER dream at all. I can't tell you one dream I have had in 5 years or more. I saw KC beat Caylee to death. She was screaming and had the horrible face we have seen when she is angry. I saw her tape her face up but not because she wanted to suffocate her or use chloroform but because she broke her jaw so horribly it was dropping down and just hanging loose down on her neck. When she realized she was dead, she taped up that jaw because it was so horrible. There was blood but not a lot just big bruises and broken sockets where her eyes were. I kept hearing the defense say "there was no blood" - it was proved there was "no blood" which made me wonder after I woke up if KC had told them this happened and they were all afraid of blood spatters. There were no blood spatters because she beat her somewhere like a park area. I saw the place and it was close to a church. (almost behind it I think) She had pulled in there after her and Cindy had their fight and she left. Caylee kept crying for Cindy and would not shut up. KC had her out of the car walking some kind of a trail with trees that overhung it. That is where she killed her.

OMG TURBOTHINK that dream made all the hairs on my arm stand up and gave me chills. Wow what a dream.

And that tape was in her car already because after she taped up her jaw and face she then put her in the trunk on some kind of pieces of plastic. (almost like plastic bags from a store torn open and spread out.) Somehow in my mind I felt that was duct tape she had used at a party and left in her car and that was why it was still in her car.

I could be mistaken but the duct tape that she got for the no clothes party to tape the flag on herself came from Amy.  Your dream is going to stick with me for awhile. I too think she left the house that night with Caylee. I do not believe George and his story about seeing them leave the next day either. This is just so sad that we will never know what really happened.

I have NEVER believed that story George told from day one and maybe that played into that horrible dream. Did Amy say it came from her or did KC say that? Do you know?

I believe it was in Amy's depo and casey asked her if she had some. I will see if I can find it later on tonight.

We lived in Pinellas county for several years so although we rolled our eyes and said "that figures" when it happened...that said.

This is America.  When do you EVER get 12 people to agree to ANYTHING down to the very final, tiny little detail - much less have them all focused in on all the exact same tiny little things without ever having the bigger picture in view, and regardless of how much other testimony / evidence was submitted - to only have it all regurgitated back exactly the same after the fact by each one?

You never hear eye-witness accounts of robberies that match.  You go to a wedding or conference and get offered "the chicken or the fish" in addition to the main menu item.  You go to Taco Bell and can get Long John Silvers or KFC because no one can agree in the drive-thru.  We've seen Coke flip to New Coke to be like Pepsi because of that age-old fight, and then quickly back again to Classic because people really are one or the other.  Wendy's added in a vanilla Frosty because some people just couldn't hack chocolate after all those years apparently.  Almond Joy's got nuts - Mounds don't.  My best friend and I are identical twins split at birth and every little idiosyncrasy that makes us who we are to the very core...they're all the same (including silly little things like loving salsa but hating tomatoes to having the same favorite pair of shoes we each bought in separate states 5 years before we even knew each other)...but I live and breathe college football and she would rather gouge her eyes out than watch a single play.  You're Apple or PC.  You're liberal or conservative.  You're a meat-eater or vegetarian / vegan.  You're Target or Wal Mart.  You're Letterman or Leno.  CNN or FOXNews.  Honda or Volkswagen / Ford or Chevy.

You put 12 people together because their life experiences will vary.  Their religious beliefs will vary.  Their educations will vary.  Their families (or lack of) will vary.  Their incomes will vary.  Their opinions on crime and punishment will vary.  And out of that difference is supposed to come one collective voice of reason and judgment.

Yet every time these people open their mouths, I feel like they took the opening and closing statements of Baez and just Tweeted it back to us in 140 characters or less.  THAT was the trial to them.  They didn't even bother cranking out the Cliff's Notes.

My husband and I spent more time on the Internet picking a 15th anniversary 3-day vacation destination than these people spent deliberating during a murder trial - a murder trial of a CHILD.  We actually read reviews on Travelocity for that vacation.  They didn't look at a single piece of evidence or read back a single passage of testimony.

Does not compute.  And most likely never will.

Great post and very accurate as to the jury. I really believe something was amiss because like you said they ALL are using the same "talking points" like you hear in a political campaign where cheat sheets are provided each week to the talking heads who have TV interviews.

Kind of makes me long for the day not so long ago, when one of my biggest worries was "could we get 6 to vote for first-degree premeditated, and at least get the other 6 to vote for felony murder due to aggravated child abuse", to get LWOP as an option at the very least...  Who knew the 6-6 vote would turn out to be for manslaughter and not even one juror out of that original six would believe in themselves or their convictions enough to hang in there and fight for justice - or at least a hung jury - rather than just get "sick to their stomach", telegraph "oh well...we tried" to the citizens of Florida, and bail out sight-unseen for their media packets in the van.

GaryTuchmanCNN Gary Tuchman
Tonight, I talk to a juror in the Casey Anthony case. She has received hate mail and death threats, and she is shaken. #ac 360 #cnn

http://twitter.com/#!/GaryTuchmanCNN

But once again..if you have received death threats why are you allowing the press to come to your home..I mean once the press van is in the driveway everyone knows where you live and you are a Anthony juror..

Just like the man last night who says his wife left the state and quit her job because she was fearful..then why did he have an interview with the press at their home?  And why him..if the wife was the juror..

These people are too dumb for words..if I was afraid for my life..I wouldn't want people to know where I lived and I wouldn't want people in my general neighborhood to know I was on that jury, then they tell a friend, who tells a friend..so why invite the news people right to your frontdoor?

I agree, Gypsy. What's the answer? They're a village of morons.
I can't wait until the release the video of Casey reacting to the finding of Caylee's remains.
Then they'll really see what a mistake they made..Waste, huge waste. They should all donate their brains
to science so scientists can figure out what chromosome is missing in the lot of them.

There's always that one person who is known as  "the village idiot".
Pin(head)ellas County obviously has been cursed with 12 village idiots!

I'm certain none of the 12 cretins have brains in any of their skulls to donate to science........sh!t for brains is more likely.

Don't forget the alternate who's also talking, that makes 13.

The more these jurors talk, the dumber they prove themselves to be.

I watched their interviews on youtube and they're a new breed of idiots. The foreman, juror 11, based his whole interview on GA's account of June 15th-as many times as both sides referenced June 16th as the last day Caylee was seen/or the day she died AND June 15th, Father's Day, being the day CA took Caylee to the nursing home-the so called foreman couldn't even get that important date right.

Then Juror 11 went on to talk about the gas cans and GA. Had the idiots asked to review evidence they would have seen that the gas cans were taken as evidence, photo'd and reported, twice. Once for the theft of them and again months later, after Caylee's remains were found, for the duct tape evidence. Bi-azz was questioning GA, referring to the account not in evidence, hoping to make GA appear to have given conflicting statements about the same gas can. After numerous warnings JP got fed up and had the jury removed so he could school Bozo and warn him to knock it off.

They deserve any bad publicity they get, they've earned it by choosing to not take notes and not ask to review one single piece of evidence and go on to give interviews proving they aren't just clueless when it comes to any evidence, but they also have no idea what their role was as a juror.
Jennifer Ford saying them not knowing the how, why, what, where, then stating/asking how they were expected to decide the punishment. Someone needs to tell her the "J" in her name stands for Jennifer NOT Judge, therefore "punishment" is NOT her problem---arghhhhhh

Everyone I've asked if what's happened to the kc jurors makes them scared to be on a jury has answered, that after seeing what happened here, if they ever are on a jury they are going to go back through every single piece of evidence and until they know, that they KNOW, how and why they got to their verdict they will deliberate, even if it takes months.

Seems like the evidence was clearly so disturbing that through some magical thinking and sudden loss of control of his neck muscles (twice) his head bobbed the cheese package two times.

As much as I hate CA I can't imagine what she's going through. (hopefully she truly is mourning Caylee & this isn't all for "show").  I'm in my 40's and our 2 1/2 year old precious angel is our whole life.  That sweet innocent child that relies solely on us to protect her from the world.  When she gets sick I pray to let me get sick instead so she doesn't have to suffer.  What does Casey do?  Lay in bed all day with her boyfriend & party for a month.  I stay up all night rocking my daughter when she had the flu.  THAT'S what caring Mom's do.

I caught Jesse Grund's Dad on something this afternoon....... he was speaking with Vinnie P. so I guess it was HLN. Anyway, he said that at one point, he was keeping Caylee 3 days a week while Casey was at "work". He now knows that Casey was not working but still dropping Caylee off for free "babysitting". He said that one day he mentioned to Casey that because he was working on a particular project, perhaps she could curtail the babysitting arrangement a bit, and that she said, "No problem..... I have a friend whose son stays with Zanny and Caylee likes the son and Zanny could keep her, blah, blah, blah."

It occurred to me that Casey was dumping Caylee long before she dumped her in a swamp. She didn't want to spend all day with her, even when she had nothing else to do, and his testimony would have established that. I wish he had testified. There was a lot of testimony brought out by the defense that she was a good mother when others observed her with Caylee, and I think Daddy Grund's testimony would have conflicted with that.

I also think that the notion that Casey kept and morphed her lies for a long time to serve her purposes, could have been evidenced by his testimony. Just as hints of "incest" were there for some time, so was Zanny, and both were lies to accomplish something she wanted. JMO.

The MSM is missing the point on this newest video about to be released. KC's reaction to the news that remains had been found in that swamp is much more relevent when compared to her reaction when bones were found at Blanchard Park. She didn't have to seek medical attention, or hyperventilate the first time. She knew the swamp remains were Caylee before the remains were identified.
