I've been away a long time-were they fighting?

Not really fighting-Jossy got upset with Greta one night during the VDS house search a couple of weeks ago because she was trying to get him to say the name of a drug dealer/beach bum who is related to someone in official office on Aruba that has a record with the police there and he got a little angry about it.

This case is very distressing.  She was kidnapped while sleeping with her two siblings. The parents were downstairs eating dinner.  The parents thought the children were safe because they checked on them every half hour.  

If the parents had the money to vacation in Portugal, I'm sure they had the money to hire a babysitter / concierge / , etc., to stay with the children.

What was the problem? Were they naive? Were they so isolated from the world of today that they thought it was safe to leave their kids alone?

It was completely stupidity on their part (or else trying to save money) to leave the children alone. The world is not safe anymore, especially for people who have the money to vacation at fancy resorts.

Madeleine would be not be missing if her parents had thought twice about leaving the kids alone.  I have a separate question as to why Madeleine was kidnapped and not the other children.

I took my eye off my daughter Kristi (age 4) for one second in 1970 in a shoe store in Darmstadt, Germany. They had a lot of fun things for kids while the mommies shopped. A slide, all kinds of toys, etc. All of a sudden I couldn't find Kristi. I ran all over the store and she was not there. I don't know what made me walk out the front door of the shoe store. My little Kristi, wearing a pink coat and hat, was outside the door crying and screaming in English.  No one understood what she was saying.  

We ran towards each other and I scooped her up, both of us crying our eyes out.  She said she couldn't find me and she went outside to look and went into a panic.

In these days and times, it is not safe to leave your children alone, even though they are sleeping. I feel sorry for the parents. If they get Madeleine back, I'm sure they will never again leave their kids alone.  

They were ineffective parents.

Jossy, is a forgiving soul and I’m sure all Greta had to do is apologize.  But, that kind of sucked and killed any hope I might have had that this thing might be solved.  I fear we are being taken on another ride.......

Well, I hope tomorrow Greta is not blathering on about that two year deadline again.

Hopefully Jossy at least cleared that up.

JQK up from a 3 to a 5 out of 10--he just doesn't  know which direction the Dutch will go on this.

To not prosecute is to admit failure and that they are no better than the Aruban ALE.  That would be pretty shocking for an EU country to not have any better investigative skills than a tiny island.

Greta asked about Deepak's car washing and whether it was same night or next night after Natalee went missing and JQK said a couple of nights after.

Have mercy and JQK did not know that Boeti was related to Dompig, thinking it was Oduber's son or something.  Lord, bless us and abide us and tie my feet behind me and put me in a hole where Aruba can't find me.

Secondary to the door bell ringing and someone wanting to borrow the darned lawn mower for the morning, I missed Greta.  Grrr.  Now I am really angry.  Jossy on there and JQK riding the short bus.

He said he is cauciously optimistic, slightly more optimistic than he was a couple months ago.  That the Dutch team is going through things very methodically.

Jossy explained to Greta how they have extended the 2 year deadline indefinately.

Seriously, I posted last night that if they waited THAT long to clean the car, it "could" indicate that they left the scene before the real messy events took place. They wanted to get rid of minute traces of Natalee in the car, not eradicate a nasty wholesale mess that was a surefire smoking gun that they were involved.

How ANY of this squares with the FBI claim that "there was blood all over that car", I do NOT have a clue.

There may have been more than one car washing episode then.  I'm positive the one that Arubagirl spoke of was that same night/morning.

This is ALSO a possibility, one that I had not thought of before.

I was disappointed that JQK said it was a couple of nights later.

It was the same night, the lady only referred to the people washing the car as 'them', so I took it as the brothers.

Getagrip, to me the translation is perfect! And I am really wondering why Diario just doesn't find out just WHO is the actual owner of thecasino.

How does Jossy going on Greta make you feel that way?

It's not just that.  I knew he would, if her producers gave him some assurances.  I think it is the Renfro thing, the Greta thing and JQK's whopping optimism peaking on the scale of 5 out of 10.

It all just combines to give me any un"easy" feeling. lol
