I speculate that when all is said and done ... the Netherlands and Aruba  will acknowledge that the findings of the Dutch investigation imply that the investigation into the disappearance of an eighteen year old American citizen Aruba soil was "incompetent" ... not corrupt and ... unfortunately ... it is too late to turn back the calendar.  However ... the "powers that be" in both Aruban and the Netherlands will assure the world that steps have been taken to assure that those involved in the "incompetent" investigation have been removed and ... will not be allowed another position within law inforcement.

This outcome will pave the wave for a negotiated settlement between Aruba and Natalee Holloway.

What kind of negotiation?  Will they hand over her body?  I just don't see this as being a reasonable solution.  IMO, it won't help Aruba's or the NL's reputation at all.

I would Imagine people like Rudy Croes who could be the most corrupt will never spend a day in jail. He already announced he is retiring. Other's like Jacobs and Maybee Dompig have to go down.

I agree with what you say but when the truth comes out there are just way too many things from may 29th on that have to be explained. When PVDS goes down the corrupt cops have to go down with him. I beleieve the the judges,govt officials,people in the prosecuters office and scumbags like renfro will all get a free pass.

I do not think Paulus and Anita's spawn boy from hell will be held responsible.  I think the Kalpoes will be thrown under the bus in collusion with Greta and others who will blame it on "Joran's slaves."  I think this was the plan from the get-go and will go forward and K2 will lose their suit against Dr. Phil and as a result, somehow or other there will be enough discovery to blame the K2 for accomplices or the murderers themselves, possibly even convict them for trafficking of human beings which might not be a stretch at all.  Having said that, I still think JVDS and PVDS are the main culprits but I think the Kalpoes will be thrown under the bus.

Klaas ... I do not believe that Natalee's remains will be returned to her family ... this will complicate the agenda.  I think that Aruba and Holloway conceding that the investigation was "incompetent" and ... giving assurance that steps have been taken to ensure that it will never happen again will be a way of bringing the Natalee Holloway case to a conclusion.

Klaas ... this is not just about Joran and Paulus ... it is about those in all levels of the Dutch and Aruban administrations that were involved in the coverup ... it is about the sons of the elite ... it is about exposing Aruba's dirty little secrets which encompass drugs ... gambling ... prosecution ... pornography ... money laundering.  The implications if justice prevails in the Natalee Holloway is overwhelming.

Negotiated Settlement .... the family of Natalee Holloway have every right to go after Aruba for the "incompetent" investigation into the disappearance of their daughter.  It is not about financial gain for themselves ... it is about holding Aruba accountable in some small way for the roller coaster ride from H--- that they have been forced to ride for the past two years.

I am ony speculating.  I pray I am wrong and ... those who participated in all the events that encompass what happened to Natalee Holloway and those involved in the coverup will be held accountable.  It is just that at the moment ... my faith is at an all time low and ... I do not believe that Aruba or the Netherlands is about to allow that to happen.

LISBON, Portugal (AP) -- Police searching for a 4-year-old girl who disappeared during a vacation in southern Portugal released a suspect they had questioned because there was not enough evidence to file charges, an official said Tuesday.

Detectives searched five houses Monday as part of their investigation of the 33-year-old man, identified in media reports as British, and seized some of his belongings, inspector Olegario de Sousa told a news conference. Detectives also questioned two other people in the inquiry into Madeleine McCann's disappearance, he said.

Portugal's national news agency, Lusa, quoted unnamed police sources as saying detectives and forensic experts searched the man's villa Monday, taking away computers and cellular phones, Lusa said. Portuguese media said police drained the villa's pool.
