Can some one clarifiy for me how for certain we know that Madeline's dna was found in the car,when they didn't even rent the car until 25 days after she went missing???

How can they be sure about that? And what does that say?

CERTAINLY her body cannot have been in the car all that time. And with all the scrutiny on that case, they could NOT have been hiding her, alive, at that time. Nor could they have moved her body at that point, when the whole world was watching their every move.

This is Aruba-style Fantasyland forensics, here. 

I agree sb the whole of what we are expected to believe makes no sense. It is this illogical combination of words and actions on the part of PLE that once again brings up the "C" word (as in cover-up). Did PLE want these allegedly guilty parents to leave their country so desperately they let them leave despite this guilt? I would think not.

Clint van Zandt just said on Dana Pretzer that they better have more evidence than Madeleine's DNA in the car.  Clint said it could have gotten there a number of different ways.   Clint said they better have telephone intercepts/wiretaps or something more damning.  Clint is on the fence, he finds it hard to believe what the Portugal LE is accusing them of.

I remember Beth keeping Natalee's clothes for DNA purposes so why can't Madeleine's DNA be on her clothes.  What if there was blood in the room and the parents didn't even know it was there because the amount was so small they didn't see it.

I wonder if the police looked into who else rented this car.

I am certainly not a forensic expert but it would seem to me that for DNA to get into the floor boards of a car trunk it would have to be from some substance pooling. In that way it (blood,body fluids whatever) might collect in such a place. Sorry , but again I just don't believe the McCann's are guilty of any crime let alone one that such evidence would likely reveal.

I agree Bleached.  I am having a hard time believe this BS.  They are as corrupt as Aruba.

Quite frankly I wouldn't put it past the police really finding her blood some where and placing it in that rented car.  The police know more and they aren't saying what they found because of tourism.  This is disgusting what they are doing.

I'd love to know how you are 100 percent certain.  I've read conflicting reports from several news sources, no one else seems to be 100 percent certain. The official spokesperson for the Portuguese police stated that the report regarding Madeline's DNA being found in the trunk of the car was false. I'm not saying it's not her DNA, I'm just wondering if you've found some source better than the ones I've managed to find.

hey robots... I just can't buy it...

oh, i can easily believe that DNA was in the TRUNK and it could be totally innocent
because they used the car to move all kinds of things that belonged to all of the kids

could be a honest simple explanation for it

I don't buy it's her DNA... as for the blood in the room... wasn't it a very slight smattering?  I can't count the number of times I have cut my feet on the beach, or other stupid little stuff on vacation and bled...

I don't buy for one second that they did it... I don't think if Portugal thought they did they would have let them go...

IF they drugged the kids to make them sleep so they could go out for dinner

and IF they left the doors unlocked at the ROOM

then they went out and drank and ate and NEVER actually went into the room to check
but instead just went next to the door to listen.... we are dealing with some people that

mbs -  I am not sure how accurate Mr. Paolo Reis actually is. He seems to be a few clicks better than some of the stuff we have seen out of Aruba.

I am not sure if that is because every-time he gets something, the cops retract or not. Seems like that is what has been happening.

He claims, they deny.

He is getting his info somewhere, and you can not make up what he gets unless you have a huge imagination.

I'm only saying this because I am not sure who he speaks to...

I would not expect him to reveal his sources.

She's lost a daughter ..now police dossier asks prosecutors to charge her with ACCIDENTAL HOMICIDE

Police will today hand a dossier of evidence to prosecutors calling for Kate McCann to be charged with accidental homicide of her daughter.

Portuguese officers believe Kate, 39, mistakenly killed Madeleine the night the four-year-old vanished from their holiday flat 131 days ago. If convicted, the GP faces up to five years in jail. Detectives also suspect husband Gerry, 39, helped cover up the death by disposing of the body.

Forensic tests on samples found in the McCanns' hire car and apartment apparently support suspicions. The case files will be given to a prosecutor this morning.

Portuguese police chief Olegario Sousa said yesterday: "He will analyse it then make his decision."

 Kate and Gerry, now home in Rothley, Leics, have been made formal suspects. They deny involvement in Madeleine's disappearance.
