The prettiest rose in my garden, ever.

She is a darling.

But she's a pretty little boy!  Looks like his grandmother. Laughing  Or, so they tell me except for the eyes, which look like DH's.

Technology, like the weather, does not always agree with me, either. Laughing  But everybody in the south loves purple verbena. It does not cause allergies, just grows carefree.

One of my favorite fragrance is Lilacs but they don't last long.

One has to wonder what the Dutch team has been doing with themselves all this week, since it was last weekend at least that they hit the Kalpoes.  Again, NO SENSE OF URGENCY WHATSOEVER.   More of the same....<sigh>.

Just because we haven't heard about it doesn't mean nothing has been going on.  The Dutch team does not want any leaks pertaining what they are up to.

San, let's get Klaasen there.

This rose is Darlene.

That is a pretty Rose Tyler.  It looks like the one I planted last year.

OMG! What a pretty rose - and that's my favorite color in the whole world.

I know better than to try to grow one, though. I've never had a rose bush live through the summer in my whole life. If it doesn't get blackspot, or the Japanese beetles don't suck it dry, the deer will munch it up.  Laughing

Is that really you?  Cool

Agreed. And as long as robots still feels delicious, I'm sure everything is going to be okay.  Wink

BT, the Japanese Beetles are just a seasonal problem for a short time.  They go away when it gets cooler, but if you grow poke salet, they prefer that over roses, so don't pull up all the poke salet.

Here is a rose that an attorney friend in Nashville recommended to me.  She grows it with reckless abandon and just as pretty as this without spraying.  She has lupus and refuses to spray for fungus or insects.

Hi,

I got my hopes up when JQK said "preparing the case" about the trip to the K2's house. Keywords I had not heard before. Made me think there will be a trial, guess  we just have to wait and see.

That's gorgeous, Tyler. I've heard about knockout roses around here that are supposed to be easy to grow. Are they good?

BT, Knockouts are great roses for shrubs and ever-blooming.  I have about 5 in a garden which my DH claims to be his own with some blue hydrangeas.

That rose is from Charleston, SC, born and bred there back in the 18th or 19th century.  It requires absolutely no care and grows and blooms all the time.  It can reach monstrous proportions if not kept pruned.

Are we about ready to close the gate on this thread?

I'm gonna help y'all get this to page 50, and then I'm gonna go buy ferns and impatiens to replace all those weeds I pulled up yesterday.  Very Happy

Afternoon monkeys.... funny you are talking flowers as I just came home from the nursery.  I saw a ton of those knock out roses here as well.

Had to laugh at the mention of your violet verbena growing as a weed where you are... figures - I just paid $25 for 6 tiny little plants.  I love how it looks in rock gardens which is where it is headed this afternoon.

2 yr old nephew in route and spending the night.  I thought he might like to help me move some of the landscape rocks, put in wheelbarrow etc.
