Something to think about:

No statute of limitations on murder, so the charges can be brought or not brought at any time.

What is the statute of limitation on the lesser charges such as battery and abduction? It could be, if these charges are not brought within two years they can never be brought. We need to know.

Spock- would this not make prosecution impossible? Without motive and opportunity how could a conviction ever occur in a murder case after two years?

Without being able to name the means of a murder after two years, because those charges (heavy battery, premeditation, abduction, and possible drugging all parts of a murder plot or someone accidentally killed during the commission of a crime) would be exempt due to the statue?

Looks like a double edge sword. I hope I made sense here.

still thinking here... or could they original charges help a murder charge / conviction? and you just could expect those charges to accumulate on top of the murder charges???

If anything, I would think that this case would be - these would be the minimum imo.
1. Abduction.
2. Tampering with someone's food or drink resulting in a drugging.
3. Sexual assault and rape - this is the only reason I can see to abduct Natalee.
4. Accidental death due to drugging.
5. Destruction of a corpse.
6. Tampering with evidence. Computer records and the like.
7. Obstruction of Justice - take you pick who to charge here..everyone and anyone.
8. ????

1 = 5 years
2 = 5 years
3 = 8 years
4 = 4 to 8 years
5 = 2 years possibly
6 = 2 years possibly
7 = 2 to 4 years

Joran being under 18 when the crime occurred would probably result in little or no time on some of those charges. Which makes what Minnesota Dad and I have been saying much more relevant. It's always been about Paulus. He has the most to lose.

Remember those would be the minimum I would expect. I personally believe there is much more to this than an accident.

speaking of shoe sizes (sorry - I know some are very, very tired ot this)..

A couple of weeks ago a group of us went to dinner and one of the guys there was 7 ft tall - no kidding.  Even pro basketball players are shorter.  I didn't have a chance to ask him his shoe size, but I may see him again tomorrow night - if so, I will make a point of checking out his feet

I must also state that i had talked to Freddy and my parents about the fact that Deepak could have gone back to the girl. Freddy also said that if Deepak indeed went back to the girl that i was in big trouble because i was the last person seen with the girl. Freddy had told me that to be safe i should record a conversation between Deepak, Satish and myself.'

  Context of statement is Tuesday / First week.

I just don't know if I could live a life free of glutens.  What is a gluten?

Hi Monkeys.  I hope everyone has had a wonderful day.  

So does anyone think that Anita and Freddy made up the beach story to take the blame off Joran and put it on Deepak & Satish?  And when was it that Huff-n-Puff Anita summoned Freddy to the house?  I am guessing she had an epiphany on her way from Holland on how to shift the blame to Natalee and the K2, and take it off her angelic moron.
