I decided to check my Winamp and there is an upgrade I needed so I recommend everybody get whatever player they plan to use all lined up.

And oddly enough, I hear Dana doing an interview now that sounds like for the program tonight.

 

He could be doing some early so they can all be fit in.

He's gone now.  Told the lady to give the phone to Red then I lost it.  Seemed like an interveiw for tonight from the TES fundraiser.  Sounded very interesting.

Back to work to finish up so I will be able to listen to the entire program, hopefully.

Still waiting for Ramm trans on Freddy 6/12 PV issue...but according to Shizaru Joran says in his book that he told Freddy both the HI story and the beach story on tuesday.

This remains a problem for Joran because Freddy is very clear in his PV that he was told the stories on different days. Also, the book does not say that Freddy changed his story to match Joran's.

Statement Freddy Zedan, June 12th 2005

I am the best friend and neighbor of Joran. We got to know each other about two years ago. Joran and myself are both really into sports and that is how we became good friends. Monday afternoon on the 30th, Joran came to my house. He told met that the previous day, Sunday, he had befriended a girl in the Holiday Inn casino and that she had invited him to come to Carlos and Charlies that evening. He went and they danced and drank together. After that he, Deepak Satish and the girl drove off. Her friends saw that. The drove in the direction of the Lighthouse; a white car was behind them and most likely wanted to race Deepak. But that is something Deepak would never do. Joran told me that he fingered and had french kissed the girl while they were driving. He did not say that he had had sex with her. They drove to the Lighthouse, she wanted to see sharks. But Deepak only drove up to the Lighthouse because his car is very low to the ground and cannot drive up to the North side of Aruba. The girl had said to Joran that if Deepak and Satish would have lived in her town, they would be slaves. After that they drove to the hotel. When the girl had pushed open the door of the car, she fell to the ground. Joran wanted to help her but she shoved him away. (....)
The next day, Tuesday May 31st 2005 in the afternoon, I was with Joran at the raquetclub. Joran looked worried. He asked me if I could remember what he had said the previous day about the girl. I told him yes. The girl had gone missing. The FBI had been to his house during the night but he had not been home. His father had called him to find out where he was, Joran said that he was in the Raddison Casino. He told he that after that phone call he was called on the phone by Deepak and that Deepak picked him up a few minutes later. They drove to Joran's house. The FBI and the girls family were at his house. After that Joran told me that Deepak, Satish and himself did not drop off the girl at the Holiday Inn Hotel, but that the four of them drove to the beach at the north side of the Marriot Hotel. The girl had fallen several times on the way to the beach. Joran told me that at some point she "no longer came around/no longer regained consciousness" and that they had left her on the beach. He also told me that he had left his gym/sporting shoes on the beach. After Joran had told me this, I asked him why he had left her there. He answered me that at that moment he had not known what to do. Joran told me that after this he was dropped off at home by Deepak and Satish. On the evening of June the third, I met Joran at his house. (....) He told met that during this period, he could not remember if they had bought something to eat or did anything else.

I have read that but have seen a coupla different versions given as to how Joran explains it away in his book. I mostly wanted to know if Freddy has recanted the content of that PV...it appears he has not.

What is the name of the peach rose recommended by your attorney friend?
I love it.

Also, any tips on getting your verbena to grow that luscious?  Mine are always a little scraggly.

Thank you so much, Bobo.  That rose is apricot colored and the name is Crepuscule.  It can be purchased from one of the niche rose nurseries, like Antique Rose Emporium. www.rosesunlimitedownroot.com, www.pickeringnurseries.com or Ashdown Roses.  

Verbena does better where it is not wet all the time.  It likes a little on the dryside.  I use only organics in the garden but everynow and then I will give the drought-tolerant plants like verbena and the annuals some Monty's Joy Juice with the high middle number.

Tyler,  what did you tell us last year about banana peels and roses?  Thanks!

Save all that you can and just put them in the beds.  They will deteriorate and they add a lot of potassium.  I actually throw all my peach peels, banana peels, orange peels, etc., into the beds with all the coffee grounds I can get from Starbuck's, Cracker Barrel, etc.  I take 5-gallon buckets to them to save for me and pick them up and replace the containers once a week.  Nothing worms love better than coffee and they work the soil to keep it friable and the veggies and fruit add nutrients to the soil.

If you like you can just save them up in a place with a cover on them until the end of the week and then spread them around in the rose beds.  You will be surprised how quickly they will decompose and become great soil.

You can put anything edible in your garden except meat and dairy products.  The reason not to do this is because it is hard to break down and causes things you might not want to come to your garden.  Plus anything with meat or rish will lure snakes and rats as will dairy products.  You can add liquid kelp, seaweed or fish emulsion to the garden, however, without the risk of critters.

Does this concoction work on all flowers or just roses?  Tea roses only or also the new easier to care for variety (I forget their classification)?

Works on anything live.  Most of my fertilizer is organics such as this and I do use alfalfa meal and cottongin trash once or twice per year, horse or cow manure.

yep.. Igsigs, they can't believe he says what he says. They're shocked anyone could be so callous and cold hearted. In the past they were able to explain it away by simply saying he was a kid under stress during an interview or he is just someone that comes around different in interviews because there is a cultural separation.

But in a book you can carefully take your time to write and craft, Joran still comes across as someone who could have committed this crime, and infact looks even more guilty because he is unable to explain away his previous lies and might be what everyone under the sun has been calling him ~ psychopath.

Exactly. And the beach story he told Freddy...is beyond callous and cold hearted. To know even that story is sanitized, Joran's *good* version,  makes me cringe at the thought of what really happened.

So everyone should wait for Medley to complete her Berlitz before we learn any more of what their Sporter had to say?  Well, that could take a while for sure.

Yes, it is odd all translations stopped but after that last one about his attack on Natalee, well, I can see why Sloot supporters would hesitate to go forward with even more of that.

What Joran's book says to me so far is that he thinks he is completely justified in what he did, not that he is innocent by any means but that he is entitled because he can get away with it.  It's a How We Did It book.  And how we got away with it and had been doing it for years and how we are likely to continue should we get the chance.

And he made it perfectly clear in the beginning that he thought if a female was intoxicated, voluntarily or otherwise, anything goes.  He did not even have the concept that it is illegal not to mention immoral to take advantage of semi-conscious females.  He had not wrapped his pea-sized (not Size 14 by far) brain around that fact until the interview with Greta when Natalee suddenly became sober as a judge the entire evening.

Well, something was surely wrong with her if she was talking about slaves and sharks and Hitler, topics much more likely common to Apartheid-creating Dutchie than an American.  He can't have it both ways, her drinking all day and yet sober and knowing what she was doing.  It's one or the other but can't be both.
