Sorry to barge in. I have disabled bird on my doorstep. Neighbors said it was there since early this morning. It cannot fly and it's not a baby bird. The bird finally let me feel it's wings and it's feet and let me pet its head. What should I do? It is suffering.

Louise - do you have an emergency vet in your area? We have one here, and if it were me, I would take it there. Sometimes, if it's a wild creature and not a pet, they don't charge whoever brings it in.

Why did Joran stop his book promotion right after his home in Aruba was searched by the KLPD?

Why has Medleyrelay suddenly become so quiet?

One of them was asking JR a question like he was there, but I never saw a response.  Maybe he is using a different SN now.

Do you have any idea what kind of bird it is?  What does it look like?  Can you call animal control?

Louise I know very little about bird care.
If it is a native bird you could phone a wildlife service where they could give you advice on how to care for it.

I do not visit RWV anymore as it just got so unpleasant with all the dirty minded posters and their suggestions as to Natalee's experiences.

I think the missing mob from FOB/RU certainly is intriguing and it must be more than just being made fools of by the revelations in Joran's book of how he lied to them all and continues to lie.  Even his biggest fans must be feeling betrayed by now and should have got the message that he does not give a hoot about anyone of them.

They ignore the book and continue to blast Natalee calling her everything their warped imaginations can allow.  How they live with themselves is the real mystery.

Y'all don't smack me, but I see some good things about cell phones.  

If I don't want to be tied to my desk at work, I leave my cell phone number when I need someone to call me back. That way, I can move around the building and get things done and still get my return calls.

Also, it's the only way I can keep up with hubby when I lose him at the big shopping mall. We both take our cell phones and find each other that way.  

Not going to smack you - they are sensible uses for a mobile phone.  It is the indiscriminate use and the sheer rudeness of some users that ticks me off.

   I am always losing my DH in shopping centres but he always turns up again.  If he loses me he looks for the nearest bookstore or kitchen appliance shop    Predictable!

If they drive anything like the people on the various hot, nasty islands I've been to, I would have to say a great big NO!

I remember going somewhere in a taxi on one of them (Martinque I think), and a whole bunch of people just sort of ran at one another at an intersection, jammed up traffic, and then the drivers got out and started shouting at one another. Since my taxi driver was one of the shouters, it was a little bit skeeeeeery.

Yes, I think we're saying the same thing. I didn't mean official warning from the Dutch, but more like someone telling them they'd better be careful.
