President Obama indicated on July 10 that the U.S. was not a "banana republic."

Really, Mr. President? Time for a reality check. Sir, you have tripled the deficit that you excoriated President Bush for in just 18 months and said let's get out of Iraq; now you say let's stay.

Social welfare is off the scale, banks got bailouts, and the people didn't, green jobs caused the price of gas to go a buck higher. Mr. President, banana republics all had their treasuries looted, and ours is out of money. Why is that?

No 'shovel ready' jobs.  Money for 'small' business got shoveled to big global business and special interests.  The unemployed have no reason to look for a job, they get unemployment, free mortgage payments, free education, some go on one vacation after another, and never need to look for work.

Mr. President, you forget that you and government work for the people, and those people are telling you and your party that this is not the direction this country wants to go. It's not only time for a reality check, Mr. President, but a hearing check as well.

Failure to act is one thing, but failure to hear and then comply is another.

What direction does Obama want?  More money printing?  More shovel ready money for big global players, big banks, big business, unions, welfare states, more debt, worthless money...

Do you notice all of the teachers that are loosing their jobs? If you read sometimes, you would know that the stimulus saved their jobs last year.

In Wisconsin, after Walker's budget repair bill, many, if not most, Wisconsin school districts are saving money and some are even hiring teachers.  Why do any teachers need to lose their jobs?  We need education reform and Wisconsin is a good example of where to start.
