One of the 3 (now 2) troops - Byron Fouty - missing in Iraq is from right up the road from me (5 -10 minutes)

His family is doing press conference right now..

I sure hope they find him alive.....

I cannot imagine what this family is going through.  My son was in the army for 4 years, thankfully he got out long before the Iraq war started.  Not that I wouldn't have been proud of him serving, but I would have been worried sick all the time.

I'm glad yor son got out and thank him for his service !

I think about these brave men everyday and pray for their safe return.  I will pray for this family as always.  May God Bless him and them.

seems like the Michigan troops have been getting hit hard since January, we have had alot of funerals for soldiers and marines lately. We had a few reserves a couple weeks ago and a few from the same unit a couple months ago.

I hope these guys are found alive.

Anna I love your monkey jammies with the matching slippers.

The world has gone mad - one of the contestants in that awful Big Brother show here has had her father die of cancer while she is still in the house and they will not tell her about it.  Seems the family all made an agreement with her before she went on the show not to tell if anything happened.  A game show is now more important than your own family?  Shows what values or lack of them are around now.

I totally agree with that.  I remember a young college football player who was hounded because he would not play the day after his mother's death, the day before her funeral.  How low can people sink not to give the deceased and grieving their due.

Hi everyone,

I may not be on much tonight because I have an end-of-year school function to go to, but I want to say that I am still hanging on to the idea that MAYBE things are headed in a positive direction. I would not give up yet. I know a lot of Monkeys may be out a lot the next few days with trips and family and the like, but remember that we have a rallying cause here!
