ORANJESTAD, Aruba (CNN) -- Authorities probing the disappearance of missing Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway arrested the DJ of a popular party boat Friday morning and searched his home.

A prosecutor's spokeswoman, Mariaine Croes, in keeping with Aruban law, identified him only by his initials, S.G.C. She said he was born July 21, 1978.

CNN spoke with his next-door neighbor, who identified himself as Rufo Solognier. He identified the person arrested as his nephew Steve Croes and described him as a quiet, divorced father of a 2-year-old son.

(snipped)

No I thought about Rufo, but this is not him I don't believe.  I know someone that is acquaintances with Steve and his adopted family the Sologniers.  Rufo is ex-KPD.  As I recall it, Rufo essentially raised Steve although he lived and still resides with Rufo's son & wife next door.  It has been awhile but I believe that is accurate.

I am still haunted by the two very similar accounts/witness statements from May 31 of the white car that followed J2K from C&C's to the HI area... Gives me chills to this day.

Still looking but need to take a shower in a minute.  Yes, the white car accounts really make you wonder.  I think more of Guido though.

I tend to agree with regards to Guido.  They questioned his friend and workmate @ the Excelsior Urbano Croes twice.  You saw the recent photos of Guido, he is CLEARLY a rave child.

Vandersloots have a silver Honda, you think?  Why did the kids automatically think of Joran when the car was described?  My guess is this is a Sloot car, very similar to the kalpoe car and there is reason to believe Freddy has a silver car.  This is the "maze," a maze of cars.

I've wondered about that, especially since even the Monkeys didn't have a dossier on it  Shocked  The other possibility is that Uncle Dennis or Papa Paulus knew about the report of an assault on the beach shortly before Natalee arrived in Aruba.  Didn't she describe a white SUV?  In any case, it could have been thrown in there as a diversion.  Or it could have been other members of the pimp team that night.   Evil or Very Mad

Well, they took two witness statements from the rape vicitm from the previous week Brandy Risner.  I imagine had there been any connection to Joran & his posse we would have heard.  I would be more inclined to think Steve Croes and/or Cheremy Croes aka Jeremy Strawberry.

That's what I recall and did Steve not live with his grandmother, and maybe this Solognier guy most of the time.  It seems, if I recall, his mother showed in time to say hello to him when he got out of jail, and I believe we learned at the time he had not lived with her in years.  She must have thought there would big paying interviews in the future.  Alas, she was disappointed when he was born and continued to be disappointed.  No one paying Steve for the big interviews.  Solognier told him "no, no."

Hmmm... Sloot's car, interesting perspective...

Freddy has a two door coupe with racing logos and decals on it.  I have one picture of it somewhere.

I believe the statements referenced a white 4 door car on both accounts; Satish's 5/31 & ??? Joran's ???

I believe the original statements taken on 5/31 probably contain some of the most accurate accounts of that night, including the intimate details.  J2K had little time to get their stories straight.  2 if not all of the three original statement reference Joran holding picking Natalee up by her arms after she allegedly falls.

Just popped in to offer a website and a book review to those who were discussing yesterday the pollutants and chemicals in our food and environment.

Required Reading: Dinner Made Us Ill and the Meds Aren’t Going to Help

Over the course of the last 60 years or so, a strange thing has happened on our kitchen tables: Our food has become increasingly synthetic with each passing plate. Once made only from things nature made, our diets have turned into thick processed stews of chemical additives, artificial ingredients, and worse. It’s enough to send us all to the medicine cabinet, except that situation there isn’t any better. So says a recent book that details just what all this chemical chaos is doing to our health.

There's other good stuff on the site too, for interested parties.

Thanks for that LilPuma.  I have bookmarked and will read.  This is something that worries me constantly and can only get worse.

Steve's birth mother lives in Curacao and flew in to greet him when they so freed his phat a@@.  There is a statement in one of Steve's televised interview's (Greta - Fox?) referencing his mother catching a flight back to Curacao.  Many have Steve's adopted brother (NOW I RECALL) confused for his father.  He calls him 'dad' and I am told accredit's him for raising him.  This man's parents, Rufo & ? live next door in Santa Cruz or Saventa, again some of the details have slipped my mind, bare with me.

Hi Grande.  Nice to talk to you.  I have followed your postings on the front page for most of this case, and glad to see you back in the fray again.

What is your impression of the part Anita played in the aftermath and the cover-up?  I personally credit her with a huge part of the disposal, orchestration and false leads and information ever since.

There is no white car following them in the actual video taken by the security camera at International Diamond company.

I think they made that up to try to implicate someone staying at the HI as that is where the statements say the car turned.  In other words, the MB kids.

Does anyone other than the suspects say they saw this white car?  I don't recall anyone but them making that claim but may have forgotten.

All very likely scenarios in my opinion.  Today was really the first time I had given it much thought.  In terms of the suspect/witness lsit, it appears as though she was given little consideration as a potential source for information.  Why that is, I have no idea.  Could be those statement were left out, could be her alibi's checked, or it could be another instance in which they failed to make critical inquiries of potential suspects/witnesses.

Great to see you and thank you for the kind comments.

What was it Geraldo called Steve Croess' mother--darling or something equally inappropriate?  What a goof!   Laughing

But he was right about a few things, wish he would get back on this.

Wish anyone would for that matter!

Do you remember the pizza guy, the bank robbery and the bomb?  He investigated that pretty thoroughly and from what I saw I agreed with his assessments.

Well, I am going to watch TV for a while, already had my shower and possibly go to bed.  It was a busy day and will probably get busier in the next 2-3 days.  I love 'em and I love it that they have their own homes to return after their visits.   Wink

The details are far to similar given the timeframe in which they were given imo.  Keep in mind this is the same statement(s) on the 31st that include sexual acts performed and porn videos.   Don't get me wrong, I have given your suggested 'implication' alibi statement alot of consideration as well.   Very out of the ordinary statement in any event.

Very soon after Taco started appearing on our TV screens, the Fox newshounds went into hiding and it could not have been a coincidence.

They all say she fell getting out of the car at the HI as well but we know that never happened.

By the time they gave statements, I think they had them pretty well memorized.  At least Satish was working from memory.  Joran seems to have totally changed his and gone with the Fisherman's hut story leaving Kalpoes the ones telling about HI.

I guess I am skeptical of any statements given by the suspects and require corraboration from a source other than those three.

Herbert Teal also was following an white car the night he called into Fox live but that turned out to be a false alarm.

Is there anybody other than J2K who saw the white car?

We don't have Joran's statement until much later than the Kalpoes on anything and yet we know that he made one.  Wish we did have it for would be interesting to read what he had to say originally before he read theirs.

We do know he called Deepak and conferred and also Paulus was present and helped him as well with his early statements.  How much help does a boy need!

Thank you.  In my opinion Anita is a much more clever and cunning person than Paulus will ever be.  I am not saying that Paulus is not as guilty as it is possible to be, but that Anita is the mastermind behind all the conniving.  It is not beyond my belief that she was involved in actually disposing of Natalee and any evidence.  Nasty piece of work. IMO
