I had fun with those a$$holes for a little while yesterday, but they are useless.  They have nothing to offer except for some very deviant perversion.  People like that get their comeuppance in due time.

The only one I find vaguely interesting there is MF and that is a hard one to understand.  He/she apparently has a real problem with the sexuality of young women, yet he is a regular at that message board.  He also wants to rip apart Natalee and her family continuously, when in reality it is the Van der Sloot family that ripped that island a new one!  Strange loyalties.  That Dutch/Aruban thing must run deep and contrary to anything considered common sense.

MF is a puzzling creature.

THe Dutch/Aruban logic is anything but. They are right. We don't understand their system and I dare say we don't understand their thinking!
Defies anything remotely considered Humane.

Unreal, they find a torture manual for al qaeda and it gets very little attention.  But if one of our guys sticks a dog collar on a terrorist, the world calls for heads to roll!!!

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,275341,00.html

tying the hands our troops gets them killed.  We have to be nice to this scum that will take a blow torch to us - which apparently, most of the world finds acceptable.

I havent heard anyone from Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc condemning this "manual", but oh boy, dont treat terrorists like a dog!!!

For what it's worth - Powers that be respond to the article about "UN Committee Condemns Aruba" ...

http://www.amigoe.com/english/  05/25/2007 (Note: This edition says Last Update Friday, 05/24/2007 - clearly a mistake.)

Quote
Condemnation of Aruba out of the question

The Correctional Institute of Aruba (KIA) has a separate department for the detention of juveniles.

ORANJESTAD -- Justice-minister Rudy Croes extremely unhappy with the article ‘VN-committee condemns Aruba ’ that was published in Monday’s edition of Amigoe.  That article is not right, because the committee does not condemn countries, but it gives them recommendations.  They were indeed critical, but the criticism was especially for the Netherlands and the Neth.Antilles.  Aruba was hardly mentioned in the report.”

The report was drawn up based on information submitted by government instances in
Aruba .  After the article was published, Croes has talked with the KIA, the Public Prosecutor and the police corps and learned that the article is not the correct reproduction.  He therefore expects a correction on the front page of the Amigoe.  He says that this looks more like blackening Aruba ’s reputation.

Also Foreign Relations Administration (DBB) is not happy with the heading of the article.  “It is absolutely not true that Aruba is condemned”, said Angélique Peterson of DBB.  She attended the presentation of the so-called concluding observations of the NV-committee against torture on May 7th and 8th, and indicated that Aruba was hardly mentioned: 99 percent was about the Netherlands and the Neth.Antilles.  The problem with separation of juvenile and adult prisoners takes place in the Antilles, and not in Aruba .  The KIA has a separate location where is locks up juvenile delinquents.

Peterson indicated that the committee has only questioned the circumstances in which the prisoners can complain about sexual violence.  The committee recommended installing mechanism, so that the victim can make complaints without repercussion for him/her and possible witnesses.

The 49 cases of violence by police officers took place between September 1st, 2005 and March 21st, 2007.  Commander Peter de Wit is not surprised, because they have given the committee the numbers.  Everything the committee said about this case is true.  The committee’s recommendation for this is to give the police a clear signal that violence and bad treatment are unacceptable.  Each submitted complaint needs an independent and objective investigation.

Good morning monkeys...once again with feeling....please sign up for the prayer vigil in honor of Natalee in the Lounge.  Just a few minutes is all you need to pray.  Please take a time and let's try to fill all the slots to the point where we have to share with each other to get a time.  This is very important.  I know many of you doubt the power of prayer, but I am a believer.  I have seen it work with my own eyes... so humor an old lady like me and sign up and then offer your prayers at the appointed time.  Thanks to everyone that has already done so.

Busy day for me...will check back later.

That’s a familiar song and dance routine.  When cameras went into KIA, where was Joran located?  Wasn’t he 17 at the time?  Not that I give a chit where he was, but it sure looks contrary to what Croes is saying.

makes me spit nails....

ok.. slinking back to my corner .... because I don't want to hijack this thread....  Embarassed

one last rant.... no one will condemn the damn manual because they might "offend" someone...
