I have been told that when carrying a concealed gun you have be trained before you can get the permit and also to be careful you know how and when to use it. Also to be careful you don't shoot yourself in the waist, groin and in your foot depending on where it is, of course. IMO

I have a license to carry concealed in Alabama and all I did was download the application, fill it out, present it to the sheriff's office and pay $23.00. No tests or anything.

They are very hard to get where I live, even though my life has been threatened here, but I also have been armed for self protection in New Mexico years ago when my life was threated. (both of these were mentally ill, off their meds and drinking. I didn't know them at the time. The one in NM.. we were asked not to file charges by the mom who was a friend of the lady I visiting. A year later he shot and killed his mother. I was lucky.)


I wish my state was like Texas and Alabama!

When I was threatened here, the police wanted to know if I had guns. The local NRA later told me that I shouldn't have answered. How'd I know. I trust LE. Later I found there wasn't even a report filed, go figure! and this person lives only 3 homes from me now! Sure watch my back. Casey Anthony will be a free woman in just a matter of hours.

Anthony's final meal will consist of Turkey Rice Casserole, bread, some green beans, cake and milk.

This week she's received a check from Adrian of Denver for $20 and a $15 money order from an Orlando woman.

She'll walk out with $529.18.

The jail does offer re-entry assistance. It's unclear if she will take advantage of that or the free LYNX bus tickets they often offer to help former inmates get home.

Considering the media frenzy surrounding her, it's very unlikely that public transportation will be her option. But it's there if she needs it.

Caylee Anthony Murder Linked to 'Later-Term Abortion'

"Innocent blood does have a voice, it's crying out to God,” said Pastor Flip Benham, director of Operation Save America, of Caylee Marie Anthony.

Benham and his organization hosted a press conference in Orlando, Fla., Friday just outside the Orange County Booking and Release Center, where Casey Anthony is set to be released from prison on Sunday. The organization says that God is using Caylee, “this precious little child, who was unwanted by her mother and is now safe at home with Him, to be a voice for others.”

I may have missed it, but the only thing I've seen about a no fly zone relates to observance helicopters when she's released.
