Texas Rangers president and CEO Nolan Ryan has been hospitalized in Houston and will undergo tests for what's believed to be a recurrence of a previous heart condition, the team said Monday.

Ryan, a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame, was hospitalized after experiencing discomfort early Sunday morning at his home. He underwent tests on Monday.

According to the team, Ryan is resting comfortably, says he's feeling better and is expected to be released from the hospital in a few days.

Ryan was scheduled to join the team in Anaheim for a three-game series starting Tuesday. He was expected to throw out the first pitch that night as part of the Angels' Hall of Fame inductions, which this year include the late Gene Autry, the original owner of the team. Ryan was inducted into the club's Hall of Fame in 1992 and was to accept his Hall of Fame ring as well.

I stand with the girl, Natalee Holloway.

"I can look back over the past 10 years and there were no steps wasted, and there are no regrets,'' she said. "I did all I knew to do and I think that gives me greater peace now." "I've lived every parent's worst nightmare and I'm the parent that nobody wants to be," she said.

Tests taken Monday showed no new problems related to a heart condition for which he already was being treated with medication. Doctors decided to keep treating him with medication, and sent him home Tuesday.

Ryan had a double-bypass operation in 2000 and has a family history of heart disease.

He had been scheduled to join the team Tuesday in Anaheim, Calif.
