I don't believe this for a minute - I think they are heading out to meet up with their murderess daughter.  To much of a coinky dink that they decide to head OUT of the country shortly after her release.  I am skeptical about this.

WTF?  Why do they have to acknowledge an appeal?  Here, she is costing the State of Florida even more money. 

Yes just call FL "Mr Deep Pockets"   I think the first filing was to advise that she was going to file an appeal and evidently now they have turned appeal in. (?) They barely made the deadline last Friday with the first filing.

you know there are alot of people that believe the Anthony's were in on the whole "molestation/throw George under the bus" scam from the beginning.  So was my husband.  He thinks all this subtle friction shown in the media from Lippman & the bits of helpful information Cindy & Lee gave is to keep prosecutors off the Anthony's heels.  I don't believe it but I gotta admit I'm starting to wonder...............

Good morning Monkeys---I believe it Beth.  I've believed from the beginning that this was a plan which required the Anthonys' cooperation and might have even originated with them, IMO most likely Cindy.  Remember when George was asked under oath if he had molested Casey, he put his head down and waited several seconds before saying, "No."  An innocent man who was not in on the scheme would have shouted from the rooftops that he did not.  I think he didn't molest her, but I also think that knowing his temper, he would not have been so meek in answering were he not part of it.  I think Cindy is the only one of the group, including Baez and Mason, who is smart enough to think it up and pull it off.  IMO of course.

The judge made a number of mistakes in choosing the jury, so blatant that one wonders if they were indeed mistakes. And the jury, suffering from Stockholm syndrome, wanted to please Perry upon whom they were dependent for food, lodging, entertainment and even smoking time.   He, IMO, made it clear by his rulings and insults to Mr. Ashton, that he held the prosecution in disdain, yet he coddled Baez.  This, plus the jury not wanting to stay any longer and the woman who had plans to go to Europe on July 7, accommodated everyone except Caylee. 

Wow! You know I have that thought in my head too. I brushed it off bc it seems like this judge knows tge law like the back of his hand, inside & out. Why mess with his elected seat? Would it be to keep his perfect record? I'm just hoping that's not the case. This man is 100% fluent in the law. Why jeopardize everything?

Titch, I watched the trial and not too long after it started I was hoping that I was wrong.  But it became apparent, at least to me, that Judge Perry's focus was on preventing an appeal because of an erroneous ruling in favor of the prosecution.  I thought he treated Mr. Ashton rudely, but he went out of his way to prevent Baez from opening a door which would allow prosecution evidence which Perry had ruled inadmissable to be used.  I know he was reelected Chief Judge a couple of weeks ago, but his electorate was other judges in his district.  IMO it is probably a "Good ol' Boys Club."  Yes, he may know the law inside and out, but his perfect record is, IMO, more important to him than being impartial in his rulings.  Also, his seating jurors who were blatantly unqualified to sit on a jury guaranteed that these particular individuals would not understand the evidence.  And he made no bones about seating Ms. Farmville because she was African-American.  By overuling the prosecution's perfectly legitimate reason to strike, he accused them of trying to eliminate her because of her race and he seated her anyway, saying a FL law requires a jury to be "Race neutral" when the objection had nothing whatsoever to do with her race.   If a person says that they are morally opposed to judging, they should not sit on a jury even if they are white, black, purple, green or striped. That, I believe, is what "Race neutral" means, not seating unqualified people only because of their race.

But likely, even that wouldn't have made much difference because the jury was star struck by the judge and Casey Anthony.  As the trial progressed IMO they were in his thrall. I believe they did what they thought the judge wanted them to do.  And IMO it was because of the value he places on his perfect record that he wanted them to do that.  Had Casey Anthony been found guilty of first degree murder, there would have been an automatic appeal.  Actually, it could have been subconscious on the judge's part, but I believe it was there.

All of this is just my opinion, of course, but nothing else makes any sense to me.

You know when my husband and I took a cruise one of our stops was the Bahamas.  We ran into a guy that my husband worked with years ago.  He just took a boat to the bahamas - no passport - no hassel  - just drove it down & arranged docking.

Wonder if Casey really is boating down to meet her parents?

It's only about a 1/2 hour from the coast.

Casey Anthony is at Mii Amo Spa retreat in Sedona, AZ. She was spotted there by some of the locals and IT WAS HER. Sedona is only a couple hours if less from prescott, AZ both are secluded small towns. After the verdict I was devastated that this had happened! But then for people to give her money and send her near me!!! I am absolutely disgusted! Anyways I was trying to let the news know she has been spotted but I dont feel like calling it in so I hope they see this?

All that anger aimed at him, even though Huekler did not actually participate in deliberations. But he had voiced support on TV for the jurors who did — many of whom are coping with experiences similar to Huekler's in the trial's aftermath.

A CBS spokeswoman said, “CBS News is not offering and will not offer to license any materials from Casey Anthony.”

An NBC News spokeswoman said, “We’ve talked with Baez about getting an interview with Casey Anthony, but only under NBC News standards and conditions — no payment, and absolutely no job offers for members of her defense team.”

TMZ reported NBC is paying for Jose Baez’s hotel room in New York. TMZ also says that NBC looks like the front-runner for the interview.

He said a friend, east Orange County businessman David Deese, is paying for the trip. Deese made the offer some time back, Lippman said.

"I investigated him to make sure he's not some kook. They are comfortable with him and this family," he said.

Lippman described the trip as an opportunity for the couple to rest after their daughter's grueling murder trial.

"They're still recovering from the trial," Lippman told WESH.

Employees at the airport said the Anthonys appeared relaxed and looked like tourists.

The workers said a charter flight can cost around $8,000 alone.
