REFUND POLICY
Construction of the memorial will require approved design, permits, zoning, and environmental approvals. If for any reason the memorial is not built...

Although I like what they are doing with the property where Caylee's body was found, we don't really know the legitimacy of this Bringkidshome.org site.  Scared Monkeys does not support collecting for donations for companies we know nothing really about.

For instance, they mention donations are 100% tax deductible but when you look up their corporation on the IRS list it says donations are up to 50% deductible.  When I was that discrepancy it made me think twice about them.

::snipping2::

So does that mean that we monkeys need to research it for it to be a consideration?  Cuz it would be appropriate for SM to have a brick there, being that you monkeys devoted SO MUCH TIME over the years to justice for little Caylee.  (But I must say that the wording in the above "Refund Policy" that Sunny posted gave me pause:  "Construction of the memorial will require approved design, permits, zoning, and environmental approvals. If for any reason the memorial is not built...."  It sounds like they're saying that there's a good chance that it might not be built and that all but $30 of your money will be returned.  And if this company is not legit, then they're pocketing quite a bit of money as $30 times a thousand or so bricks would be a lot.)

But if they are legit, and we have enough monkeys who still wants to contribute, the inscription on the brick could just say from "monkeys" minus the "scared."  That would be OK, right?

Let me give it some thought and I'll have to talk to Red but I would say at the moment, I would lean towards not putting SM's name without Red's approval.  It could be a perfectly legitimate charity and worthy of donations etc.  I just don't know for sure yet.

Also----the property has not yet been sold to this man/ group?,  I do not think.     The sale has not closed.

ALLYSON M. GEGGATT, PLAINTIFF,
v.
DAVID DEESE AND QUINCO ELECTRICAL, INC., DEFENDANTS.

ORDER

Allyson M. Geggatt ("Geggatt") brings the instant action against Quinco Electrical, Inc. ("Quinco") alleging sexual harassment in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq. ("Title VII") (Count VIII) and the Florida Civil Rights Act of 1992, Sections 509.092, 760.01-11, Florida Statutes ("the FCRA") (Count VI). Geggatt also brings two claims of battery (Counts II & III) against both Quinco and David Deese ("Deese"), a claim of defamation (Count IV) against both Quinco and Deese, and a claim of negligent hiring and retention against Quinco (Count IX).*fn1 Additionally, Deese has brought counterclaims against Geggatt for defamation (Counterclaim I) and defamation per se (Counterclaim II). (See Doc. 22 at 3-5).

 ::snipping2::

Geggatt describes several incidences that occurred at the workplace that she alleges constitute sexual harassment by Deese. First, Geggatt claims that Deese made two comments regarding her appearance. Sometime during Geggatt's second week of employment, Deese told her in passing that she "looked sexy."

 ::snipping2::

The next workplace incident complained of by Geggatt occurred in the mail room during the her third-and final-week of employment at Quinco. Geggatt avers that Deese "walked close behind me and brushed my buttocks with his hand" while Geggatt was standing next to the copy machine.

 ::snipping2::

The final workplace incident involving Deese occurred during the final days of Geggatt's employment at Quinco. Geggatt described witnessing Deese at the opposite end of "a long hallway"-approximately fourteen to eighteen feet away-look directly at her and then "unzip his pants and make a thrusting gesture and then zip [them] back up when somebody came around the corner," though she later admits that she is unsure whether he actually unzipped his pants or just pantomimed doing so.

Mason said he believes it was the right verdict, but was surprised because, he said, what the jury did took courage, given the public sentiment.

"They don't deserve to be criticized, they deserve to be memorialized," Mason said.

One audience member asked Mason if it was possible Casey was guilty and got away with murder.

"Well, I guess it's possible you can go to Venus this afternoon," Mason replied.

Cheney spoke on a variety of subjects surrounding his controversial client, including rumors of money.

"There are no offers from anyone for books, movies, or interviews," Mason said.

And he was asked if he really knows what happened to Caylee.

"I know she drowned in the pool. I've known that since the first day I got on the case," Mason said.

Not believing it...You think he's trying to save his butt?

If I was his wife (ewwwww) , I sure as heII have him distance himself or else.

In my opinion, Mrs. Mason is most likely a very nice lady---prolly has been with him for years--prolly put him through law school.  Long -suffering and most likely enduring a lot of grief from this conceited bloviator over the years.

President and CEO, DAVID DEESE, paid for Cindy and Geo exotic vacation.

Going to the Bahamas is hardly what I consider an exotic vacation. Most people who live in Florida have been in and out of the Bahamas so many times it is almost not considered a vacation. My next door neighbors took their boat down one or twice a month for a few days. We went with and some other friend a number of times, but it does get old after so many trips. We do enjoy Georgetown and Coco Cay as they are very interesting and you meet a lot of varied people mooring there for a few days. I am sure they will be staying in Nassau which in my opinion is the worst of the beautiful Bahamas.

Perhaps they are inquisitive in regards to banking procedures????

Baez has a new look on his website that I had not seen before....not that I visit it at all. lol   But under investigative services he has...

Investigator Jeremiah Lyons retired at the rank of Detective First Grade from New York City, and has more than 25 years of experience investigating criminal cases, both for the prosecution and for the defense.

"I believe that when the police arrest someone for a crime that they and the State Attorney's Office should be held to a higher standard and must prove their case before taking away somebody's freedom for it's better 9 guilty men go free than 1 innocent man go to jail."

Which of course is exactly what happened!

Contractor accused of defrauding feds found by feds to be defrauding employees

When it rains, it pours.

The Department of Labor announced today that Quinco Electrical–a Winter Park-based contractor recently ordered to pay restitution to the federal government after violating the Buy American Act–was also found to have been cheating its electricians out of higher wages by classifying them as “pipe layers.” The company will be required to pay out $68,778 in back wages to the workers.

The news comes on top of two well-publicized investigations (which the rest of the Orlando press corps originally conflated into one) last month into the employment practices of contractors involved in the construction of the new Veterans Affairs clinic in the Lake Nona area southeast of Orlando.

Quinco Electrical is one of the contractors working on the site.

Hi Sunny--Thanks for this.

Just goes to show that birds of a feather flock together.  And in this case, it's a kettle of buzzards. ( I looked it up.  That's what a bunch of flying buzzards is called, honest.)  The Anthonys who facilitated that obscene tale which caused that travesty of a trial, IMO, and a guy who cheats his hard-working employees.  Personally, if I were offered an all expense paid vacationi to the Bahamas I'd say, "No thanks."  Maybe Marbella, Spain, honey, but not Nassau.  Oh God.  All of the cars are like 1950 Fords and with most of them you can't be moving and have the air conditioning running at the same time.  I looked at a condo way at the end of one of the Islands and didn't want it and the real estate agent wouldn't take me back to town.  Finally found a cab.  I did buy that aforementioned voodoo doll there, but that was the most interesting thing I did.  There are some fairly nice casinos and hotels, but that's about it. I mean, how long can you swim?  You get all wrinkled up. Of course Cindy wouldn't notice.  She's already wrinkled up. BTW Does George still wear that diamond earring in Casey's honor?

Isn't it amazing that EVERYONE of the people connected with the Anthonys and this case are of very questionable backgrounds and morals? It is like satan himself has pulled all the minions out of the woodwork for this.

Thanks. I thought so but just wanted to check.  There is a David, DOB 07/14/1969 with many criminal cases that range from theft, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, solicitation to commit prostitution, contribution to the delinquency of a minor, battery, along with many speeding tickets.   Not saying this is the Bahamas David, but it is a David Wayne who is 42 which seems like a rather large coinkydink.

Hi Turbo--Yes it is.  No upstanding person wants to be associated with George and Cindy it seems.  There's that fat guy from kidfinders who is a convicted felon.  Why, when they went to Putnam County when Haleigh Cummings first went missing, even Ron Commings wouldn't associate with George and told him to leave.  I mean that's pretty bad if the dregs of society won't associate with you.  Oh wait, they are the dregs of society.  And it seems that like attracts like.  Mr. Deese seems to have a questionable background and might think its just peachy keen that the Anthonys will go to the Bahamas with him.  Heck, they'd go with the devil if it were free. And yes, I believe the main characters in this drama to be the devil's minions.  If I had to associate with them I think I'd have a string of garlic around my neck just in case.

You know when my husband and I took a cruise one of our stops was the Bahamas.  We ran into a guy that my husband worked with years ago.  He just took a boat to the bahamas - no passport - no hassel  - just drove it down & arranged docking.

Wonder if Casey really is boating down to meet her parents?

It's only about a 1/2 hour from the coast.

Is it really that easy?  The only boats I've ever been on are cruise ships & have no idea.  Do the docks where you dock the boats require anything?

From what I remember, yes it is very easy. I lived in a few places in Fla when I was younger & in college. I believe you only pay a docking fee. That's how it used to be. I think with the new Homeland Security stuff, you need a passport for the Bahamas now. It's been ages, but I remember there used to be charter boats that would take groups of people to the main island for like $50-$100 round trip. I forget but it was cheap. It's only like 50 miles off the coast isn't it? It's been a long time since I've been to the Bahamas.
