Tonight we have the rare and elusive BLUE MOON.

They have always been very lucky for me but IBE says unlucky for her.  I am hoping this is lucky for this investigation and was hoping that something of importance might be brought forth under the sway of the Blue Moon.  Could be bad luck for the suspects and good luck for the family if it goes both ways.

Off to work and lurk and mostly lurk for the rest of the afternoon. . .

It's in honor of Paris Hilton going to jail, Lala's, LOL!
New Doll Base from what I usually use, however.
This one has more accessories than the regular Barbie
so it is a tough decision.  I just take most of my dolls
and don't build all of them myself so this is one I snagged but thought funny with her sentence starting I believe tomorrow.

Thank you for noticing, however.

 Very Happy

I'm sure Paris will have a rude awakening while serving her time Laughing

Maybe they called Martha Stewart to decorate her cell ahead of time for her. Wink

Is it just me or is anyone thinking that this guy from the CDC infected his future son-in-law?

We throw tons of money into education each year...more and more and more and still the quality is below standards.  Why?  Because of the quality of teachers.  My old adage is this...You get what you pay for.  That applies to any aspect of life. My own daughter mentioned wanting to become a teacher...mind you she would be a very good one too...but her father and I have tried to discourage this due to the low wages and benefits.  Sure most teachers are in their state's retirement system...in fact in Alabama they have an excellent system. What falls short is the salaries.  Starting salaries are much too low for the responsibilities they have. I said I wouldn't go here and discuss this, but I feel it's important.  A good teacher sets the foundation for everyone's life.  We all have those memories of a teacher that made an impact on our lives.  We even have a few teachers on this board and I bet you they would tell you they don't get paid what they are required to do in their everyday jobs.  If we paid teachers what they should be paid...afterall they are educating our future...we would have better applicants with higher qualifications that would teach our children well and then our own children would have a better chance at a good job and a promising future.  It's true...you really do get what you pay for.

My rant for today.

Lala's, it depends on where you are and other factors about teachers.  I would say the mean in this state for quality of teacher is lower than mediocre and that is only raised to mediocre by certain areas that have superb teachers whose salaries should be quadrupled but the Department of Education is a socialist organization who pays all the same with the same degrees, which means about 60% of the teachers in the area are a pile of crap and should be relegated to learning elementary education, whereas about 40% of them would make better college professors than most employed in the ivy league, so until we have a better Department of Education and way of administering pay, this will remain a terrible system.  It is socialist just like medicine is becoming where the most ill-educated and sorriest doctors will be paid the same as a Dr. DeBakey or Dr.  Frist.  Sociaism has killed education and it will kill this country and it is here and roaring and rolling, and  we will not be able to turn it back.  Watch for teachers, doctors to become among the lowest paid while lawyers will become the gazillionaires because they

I'm almost scared to say anything! Shocked   I promise I try my best to be a good teacher and earn my little salary I make!   Crying or Very sad

Irregardless,  if the guy knew he was infected and  his future FIL knew it AND worked for the  CDC,  they are both responsible for any others that may become infected while he carelessly travelled.

There's a long course of treatment for TB,  Infectious Disease/CDC must notify the State Department, and so on,  thats how they track this stuff.  That guy should have never been allowed to leave his house let alone the state or country!

 Shocked  Shocked

I bet they will try to track to see where he came down with this strain - don't you?  I mean, you would think they may be able to trace back - then again, someone said it lies dormant for a while??

Yes,  things that make you go hmmmmm.
