After looking at Anita and Paulus for two years like the rest of you, I don't think they think Joran is abby-normal.

Anita thinks he is a normal teenager, and Paulus told him to keep positive and keep working on his book. (while a suspect -  who writes a book while a suspect?)

Anita says Joran always uses a condom, and Paulus gave Joran porn.

Sorry, but this seems to be a common family mental condition.

i just read the interview out loud to daughter, forgive repeating his profanity but here was her response:

"he says shit question, well shit person, what can one say? I suggest someone make him angry for it's apparent it's easy to make him angry and he will out himself"

It is apparent from this interview the ALE did make him angry, so was it Anita or Oduber or whom that stopped the ALE from pushing him harder - who called for the dutch investigators/mental evaluation experts to be pulled out as well? Remember that, beth said they related to her they felt they were getting close to something?

If we find out WHO called off those people, then we know the path of the cover-up IMO

Karen Janssen?  Who was chief of police at that time?  Was it still Van der Straatten?  or maybe Dennis Jacobs oversaw the interrogations?

Agree AZ, I think he'd break pretty easy under some bonified interrogation instead of the rump kissing he was getting from the Arubans.

AZ I seem to recall at some point Janssen exclaimed that she didn't control the interrogations, that the ALE did? I wish I were like Klaas and tamikosmom ready and able with a link but I do recall her stating that quite clearly.

I guess logically we should refer back to when Beth complained about the mental dutch team being told to leave, secure that date, then benchmark which revolving door of the ALE stated to be in control on that date?

As Minister of Justice if he's proven to be involved in fraud with that one, i think we can safely assume he's played a role in protecting Joran, an active one.

I’m just not sure it was Jannsen and Van Der Stratten.  They did and said things in the beginning that made it look like they were going to nail the three suspects.  Then it seems like the investigation hit a brick wall and judges deciding to hold Joran and then deciding to let him go with conditions and then letting him go with no conditions.  Something had to be going on behind the scenes.

All levels of the government is probably mixed up in that one.  Rudy is also the one that is ultimately in charge of KIA.

For his own good, of course, I wonder if a little electroshock therapy might be beneficial for Joran?  The trained therapist could zap him every time he lied and that could act as aversion therapy.  Then again they would be shocking him so much it would cause a brown out on Aruba….

I hope they nail RCroes then for I've felt all along his relationship with Paulus was key in protecting both, I've sensed a lot of dirty secrets reinforce that relationship.

I do hope the teachers at the intl' school on Aruba read that interview too, hope it's fun for Anita to walk the halls and attend graduation sitting reared back with her leg across her lap and smile knowing those teachers likely really really resent her disrespectful son !
