Posted by Arubagirl on the front page on June 12, 2005:

Cancun, v/d Sloot, who everyone seems to be concentrating, is prob. upper middle class. I’m guessing his father earns about $70,000 max per year (taking the $1=afl. 1.80 exchange rate). I think it’s more in the $55.000 range. It’s a lot of money by Aruban standards, but I doubt that they’re millionares.

As for the Suriname brothers, don’t know. They own a car-rental, but I don’t know how profitable that business is. I’ve never heard of the Kalpoe family either before this.

“Minister Rudy Croes even mentioned that he will bring in a police team from Curaçao to investigate their colleagues in Aruba.”

What ever became of this  Investigation  Has anyone on Aruba asked or is that why the Dutch are there and Aruba is breaking the Justice Department away from the Netherlands?? Confused

I doubt anything was ever done. Rudy handed over the cold case to the KLPD thinking there was zero evidence and they would officially close the case. Seems like everyone Involved retired, relocated or was promoted.

SCARED MONKEY'S FRONT PAGE
January 22, 2007

According to Arubagirl on June 11, 2005 - the search was at the Canashito Caves.

Arubagirl Wrote - front page of SM Posted Jun 11, 1:18 AM

#1 It seems that they are going to Canashito, which is sort of a rock quarry. During the massive search (the one where the civil servants got off), they spotted suspicious activity by a white van in the area. The cops went to check it out, but found nothing.
#2 According to the prime minister the fam. didn’t know this until they turned on CNN. The radio stations are also reporting that cops are heading to recover the remains. First it was lighthouse, then it was Bubali Plas (shallow lake), now it’s Canashito, the rock quarry.
#3 Nothing found at Canashito
#4 Empty big plastic bag found at Canashito

CBS NEWS
June 10, 2005

Holloway's family rushed late Friday to an old stone lighthouse beside Arisha beach after Deputy Police Commissioner Gerold Dompig told The Associated Press that one of three young men in custody admitted that "something bad happened" to Holloway and was leading police to the scene of the alleged crime.

Let's take a look at Simian's posts on June 22.  Grande says they are Burke's also...just covering all aspects here...don't anyone jump off the ship yet...

Simian Says: June 22nd, 2005 at 11:31 am
I am from Aruba…and it is tragically funny to read how most of you speculate with information you read or see an CNN and Fox News.

Simian Says: June 22nd, 2005 at 11:34 am
If you knew where the prison is located you would not call it oceanfront property. It is the North Coast. Very rugged terrain.

Simian Says: June 22nd, 2005 at 11:37 am
Aruban Police deal with hardened criminals from the Mainland. So the fact that a 17 year-old isn’t talking is beyond everybody on the island too.

What I posted is information I have on the behaviour of the parental units on Aruba. Furthermore, the parents were taken in for interviews by the FBI last night.

Simian Says: June 22nd, 2005 at 11:41 am
To whoever made comment: I have taken a tour of the facility and even spent a night in there when it was inaugurated. So have everybody in my gradutating class at Colegio Arubano who wanted to participate.

When did KIA get inaugurated?  I had that info and now I can't seem to find it...still looking though.  Would Burke have been young enough to qualify for this statement?  He's around 45 now, right?

Lala's I think Burke is pretty young.  Remember Arubagirl mentioned something about KIA and opening of a new wing.  It wasn't that many years ago.  I'll see if I can find it.

I know Dolores at RWV said it was a false tip that led to the questioning of Van Rijn. She said someone wanted to get back at him so they made a anonymous phone call to the KLPD and said NH'S clothes were at his house. She claimed to be friends with him and said he had nothing to do with NH.

Tangoing sure moves fast - I thought it was a slower tempo.  Wink

OK my thoughts on a couple of points as I have been reading to catch-up.
When Dompig and Shango/Simian referred to the MB kids as having been there for a week and also about the boyfriend from previously in the week I wonder if they have confused at least two groups of holidaying kids.  Also have they confused Natalee with another blond white American girl? Was Natalee targeted in error for another girl that had rejected the advances of the pimps and this was their pay back?  Remember Joran could not name or identify which girls were at the Casino.

Or the jealous boyfriend could have been Joran's gay/bi friend who could not bear Joran having any relations with a female.

Is the Dicemen that are referred to really only mean those at Natalee's table - JvdS, PvdS, Dealer etc.?

ALSO if the Masonic Lodge is brought into this please remember that the legitimate Lodge would have nothing whatever to do with anything along these lines.  Any similarity or use of the lodge building or rituals between members would be because they use their contacts or have corrupted the local organisation for their own means and if this was to be found out there would be serious repercussions for all those involved.  The governing body of the Masons would deal with them more effectively than any law enforcement agency.
