Sorry to change the subject, but I just read this and don't know if it has been mentioned here yet. Taxes on the increase again in Aruba, this from Sunday June 2, Amigoe.

+++++++++++++++++++++++

Water and electricity increase with 12 percent

ORANJESTAD – Consumers of water and electricity will notice an increase of more or less 12 percent on this month’s utility bill.  Water- and Electricity Company WEB increased the tariffs again in June.  This is due to the increased oil price on the world market.

The company emphasizes that the price for water consumption won’t increase for 40 percent of the households, because this group does not consume more than 12 cube of water per month.  The tariffs remain the same for this quantity.  The WEB bases the tariff for 12 cube water on a fixed fuel price of 35 dollars per oil barrel for the production of water.  The tariff for more than 12 cube of water and for electricity is based on 51 dollars that WEB pays for one barrel oil.  That is about 23 percent more than what the company had paid for one barrel in May.

Imagine how high taxes would be if the boycott was working! /sarc

Hey Klaas, is there a way to find out how close the Haystack mountain is to Moko?  Or, Aruba Haystack Residence?

Find Aruba. Find the Haystack. Find Santa Marta. Trace with your finger what the Antenna has spoken about.

Unleash the dogs. Inch by inch...grid by grid.

Merian was Simian..right?  If so, this is an interesting post.  The only Santa Marta I can find on google is in Columbia, so he must be using a local name for an area that is either called something else.

 Laughing Tax them into prosperity.  That's the socialist way.  Raise taxes to help the base and it chases away the investors who provide the jobs.  Smart Arubans, very smart.  They need a lesson in Economics 001.

My grandson used to wake up at night and cry that Natalee was taken to the Haystack.  He knew absolutely nothing about the case except that he knew of her through the publicity and the fact that they were from the same area.  He was very upset that no one would look in that haystack.  This is not a farm kid who knows anything about haystacks.  It was troubling to us all and we had never heard about Haystack in Aruba and I asked, and was told it is near the K2s house.

That's freaky!  Canashito is very near Hooiberg.  That's one place that a search was conducted, but nothing found.  I don't think Canashito is where the quarry is, is it?  That's not very close to Joran's house.

Maybe this is a reference to the cell towers that were identified from the phone records?

This is a good map of the mid to northern part of island. Moko Dam is in the middle at the very bottom of map. sorry Klaas, I know I'm going to blow the margins, my hope is that it's at the bottom of the page, and that Lal's isn't around with her pad and pencil.
