I have been reading the comments hoping that the poster's, would have clues to why the presser is delayed.

I'm thinking that if the autopsy took a long time, they may just have had the results and if there was a homicide, then they called the major crimes unit. IF the guy confessed, maybe he told them how it happened and they went back there to collect more evidence.

Guessing here, of course.

Nothing really new.  Cause and manner of death still pending awaiting toxicology and further investigation.  Still being called suspicious.

Kinda brief.

At least she's home now and we gotta have faith that the authorities will handle the case with kids gloves, so what happened in Caylee's case doesn't happen again here.

I understand then that she was not stabbed, or shot. Something else happened.

I'm not getting anything.  Every time I refresh I get the picture of Celina in her basketball uniform, then a commercial, then a black screen.  I also get the comments but nothing on the screen.  Thanks to those who are giving updates.

Good evening Monkey's,

I like your theory, maybe something evolved. The Attorney General must be a busy woman, would she play cat and mouse?

Another sad case, another child gone too soon.....

So, at the PC the AG claims the death is suspicious, but the autopsy did not reveal the cause of death. Obviously this child's death was NOT due to a:

shooting
stabbing
head injury
blunt force trauma
or
drowning

And they are awaiting toxicology reports...

I'm wondering if this child was drugged and then sexually assaulted? I wonder if she had been "restrained," or if there was there any bruising?
There has to be some sort of evidence that leads LE and the AG to suspect homicide.....I just hope they can find the answers and unlike Caylee, that this young girl recieves some justice for a life cut too short....

that's crazy...
did she drown? was there water in her lungs? strangulation perhaps....they would know if she was dead before she went in the water..did they say anything about that?

Hey monkey friends!

So, I just looked at the first update from the Boston Globe. I'm thinking either Celina was weighted down or her limbs were constrained, unless she was given a drug & died from it. Maybe somebody panicked & threw her in the river. Maybe their waiting on toxicology to see if anything of lethal level was given to her. Maybe she was raped but being in the river for a week hinders their investigation. I think either somebody is in custody or else they're under surveillance, otherwise why would Young say there's no reason for panic? Maybe somebody talked to them & said they thought so & so happened but was scared to go to le right away, so maybe there's more than one person involved. I wonder of there were any parties the night of the 25th? I have no idea why I thought it was the morning of the 25th when she was found...brain fart or something. It's been said that teens gather around that area & drink, have normal teenage fun that they really shouldn't be doing... I definitely think they found something, otherwise the house wouldn't be taped off again, plus the wording regarding how the body was found & the statement wording regarding the autopsy was carefully spoken. Please refer to my bold...

Autopsy on Celina Cass incomplete, officials say

Snipped:
Examiners are awaiting “toxicology results and further investigation,” she said.

Investigators had concluded her death was suspicious after seeing the condition of the body, which was recovered yesterday afternoon from a dam on the Connecticut River, just a quarter-mile from her family’s home.

Young declined to comment on what the autopsy found, but said the criminal investigation remains active. She said she could not answer questions about the condition of the body, saying it was necessary to preserve the “integrity of the investigation.” She declined to say how long her body had been in the water, but said its submersion played a role in the autopsy.

She declined to comment on how toxiciology tests would help determine the cause of death.

“We are doing everything we can to have more definitive answers,” she said.

Young declined to say whether police had identified any suspects or persons-of-interest, but said there was no need for the public to have “heightened alarm.”

Cass, an 11-year-old from West Stewartstown, a small New Hampshire town near the Canadian border, was last seen July 25 in her bedroom, and by morning was gone.

Does anyone know where Louisa works and what shift? Was she even home the morning that Celina was missing or could she have worked the overnight shift? I think I saw on here that Wendell was the one who discovered Celina was gone.
