Why is it that no one in Washington wants to tax imports?

I listened again, to Charlie Rangel on Freedom Watch tell the judge that corporation and businesses are sitting on BILLIONS and not creating jobs.  Raise taxes on the job creators because they are not creating jobs...

Earlier today, I was treated to hearing some suggest that foreign companies are deciding against setting up shop in America...the same companies that export BILLIONS, due to our debt ceiling problem.  So, why isn't Rangel holding them accountable?  Taxing them for failing to create jobs in America?

If they sell in America, why aren't they paying for our entitlements?  If they aren't employing Americans, why aren't they paying their 'fair' share?

I've seen it suggested that a 30-35% import tax would solve all our financial problems, for years to come.

Why keep going to overtaxed Americans?
