Cass’ grandmother said Celina will be placed in a pink casket and her body will be cremated. Marcia Laro declined to say where the private service will be held.

I know that her body was found in a blanket but I've been looking for confirmation that Celina's body was found wrapped in a blanket from her home but have found nothing. 

Has that been confirmed?

Nothing has been confirmed except "suspicious" death.
Celina will not even bury, just kind of flushed away, being cremated.  She should have a spot, where others can grieve and leave notes, flowers..IMO,

Wouldn't Celina's sister have known she was gone and when?
Where was the sister at the time Celina went missing?

Who did the blanket belong to?
Was the blanket also tied or taped?
If you drop the body in the water, the blanket could of gotten unwrapped, I would think.

No one is leaking/giving any extra info out what so ever.

"Today was not good," Marcia Laro, the mother of Celina's dad, Adam Laro, told the Herald yesterday. "His heart is critical. He was supposed to have open-heart surgery, but he's too weak for it. . . . His health is very bad."

Adam Laro suffered congestive heart failure and spent more than a week in a coma prior to Celina's disappearance the night of July 25. He left the hospital last week and made a public plea for her return -- against doctors' advice, his family said.

Celina will be placed in a pink casket, and her body will be cremated, said Marcia Laro, who declined to say when the private service will be held.

"She loved pink -- it was her favorite color," she said.

Cremation is a personal preference. My husband was cremated and scattered and it was his choice and he was not flushed and forgotten. Cremains can also be buried in a cemetery or put in a mausoleum or kept at home.

seahorse, I know very little about cremation so I just looked it up.  Surprisingly, there are many different options, such as cremating the entire coffin, renting a coffin and just cremating the body, etc.  I hesitated to check this out but basically I wanted to know the cost because quite honestly I'm wondering about the donations that the family is asking for.  This case has received nationwide coverage so I imagine they will receive a lot of donations.  It's been reported that Celina will be  placed in a pink coffin and cremated.  Just checking the costs I would say that the medium cost is around $500.  Then I guess it depends if the family is going to put the ashes in an urn or have a burial plot.  All that is needed for the toxicology has already been done.  I'm guessing one of the reasons the family chose cremation is the condition of her body.  I'm thinking that maybe she was in the water from between the night of July 25 and 26th.

I agree 4 Donks.  As requested ... my parents were cremated following their memorials ten years apart.  My brothers and I set aside a day and drove to the bridge over the Vedder Canal where our Mom and Dad had become engaged while serving in the Canadian forces in Chilliwack, BC in 1942.

I had and still have mixed feeling but ... it wasn't about me ... it was about our parents' respective wishes.

As long as investigators had gleaned all that was necessary in regards to evidence ... burial or cremation ... it just does not matter.

someplace here at SM, i read that the river is only 6-7' and the water had to be let down
to search,so it was shallower when celina was found, so when it was higher at the 6-7',means
someone used a boat,raft,a floating something,that should narrow it some,wonder if an air

I'm trying to think outside the box for a second. For only a second.

So, first... does anyone think that Celina died of heat exhaustion? It has been brutally hot this summer, and she was sleeping in the basement (which can be colder than above-ground temps, but still hot.) Her sister is rumored to have been spending the night with a friend, and if that was true then Celina was sleeping alone in the basement that night.

Second... I doubt Celina used drugs, though nobody can really tell these days who is into it and who isn't. So, does anyone think that Celina was poisoned? Maybe accidentally?

I figure that if any of the two above happened, that the stepfather could've panicked and got rid of the body in a place he already knew.

Wrapping someone in sheets or blankets shows a family member who cares for the person who died, as I have seen on many a TV episode of SVU.

Yes.  Also, I can see someone doing that to make sure no evidence falls out or whatever.......in other words the blanket or sheet is what is available.  Beats me.
