My heart is crushed for Adam Laro.  He looks literally beside himself sitting at the circus and watching.  I am so glad to see his son and parents with him.  To me, it is so obvious they care about each other.  I don't doubt that he is riddled with guilt, feeling he could have done something, yet, how could he do anything.

I am probably naive and dense, but it's only my opinion.

I feel so sad for him.

CW618,

Do you think the child was dropped in the water, by a fishing pole?  Fishing line, is very strong for deep sea fishing, or even
fresh water fishing.  I can not make out the fishing reel if it is a fly fishing rod,  can you? TIA

I know nothing about the underneath of trucks or cars, but I wondered if that shiny piece could be something that fell off a truck?

Perhaps they (I think we are talking 2 people - one to drive and one to ride in the back with Celina's body) backed the truck out over the water to push her body off into the water. I think she must have been weighted down with something, so they wanted to avoid carrying her. Maybe they hit the side of the bridge with the truck or maybe the bed of the truck was heavy and was dragging thereby dislodging a piece of the undercarriage. Something was making the police interested in the underneath area of the trucks. Something they couldn't see until they took the truck in and got it on a lift.

Since they saw something that made them suspicious of homicide before they brought the body up, I think there is a good chance that what they saw was a weight of some sort. They also focused in on trucks immediately, not cars. Perhaps because they knew that the body was too far out to have been pushed off the bank and must have been pushed out of something that could be suspended over the water - a truck bed.

The other thing that has been bothering me is the photo posted here of her body being taken out of the water. There is a definite square shape in the middle area of the stretcher. You can see the edges. Large square patio blocks?

Just what I think of looking at the photos - no proof.

Why in the world is the mother riding on a freaking float?  In what alternative universe does this kind of stuff happen?  Has the child even been lay to rest yet?

This is all to strange..

Not making excuses for her or anything...but if she is so easily persuaded as many have suggested she may be on that float because those of the community have said it would be a good thing for her and the family and the community to honor Celina in this way.

I don't care who asked me to do what, I would be too distraught to do anything like this.  No, Celina has not been laid to rest yet and her sister is throwing out candy from her black and white hat?  So okay, maybe it's me who lives on another planet but in my opinion, this town is definitely from a Stephen King book.  Let me just say this - could anyone see Beth Holloway or Sharon Peterson riding on a float in a parade?

I agree...I was just trying to view from "their world."  There is no way that ANYONE could pull me out of my dark bed if I lost a child...but also...I WOULD not have a paranoid schizophrenic or bipolar man with a disgusting sex drive living with my two daughters...and people would NOT be in and out of my home...I am strong enough to stand up for my children.

labubske, I didn't mean anything about you, I just don't get these people at all.  The more I read and the more I see, I'm starting to think that there is something seriously wrong with them.

Oh Pattianne...I didn't take it in a bad way...I see what everyone is talking about in regards to it being odd that she is on a float and her daughter hasn't been laid to rest.  I couldn't see myself being able to do that. I was trying to get into her mind and HOW she could be on that float...it is so hard for me to see the worst in people...especially mom's...but I guess we see it around us quite often.

Uh oh, I see it now that the picture has been enlarged.  No wonder Wendell checked himself into a psychiatric hospital.

Naturally I'm confused.  I thought the wench and pulley were used when they were pulling Celina from the water.  In one of the photos there were a lot of men pulling and backing up . . . I hope I made sense.

When I saw the picture of them retrieving Celina, I thought she must have been weighted with something VERY heavy.

I did too. I thought that Lilly thingy was being used by the divers to retrive her, to lift her. If you look at the picture with all the cops on the retaining wall, you can see the cable is pulled taught. I was thinking maybe it's bc Celina was thrown right there, so the diver just used the ledge to go down with the cable.

We did when her body was first recovered. Only problem is idk if it was saved & used as a photobucket link or hotlinked. That picture of them retrieving her actualle made it look like they put her in something that had crisp edges, like a rectangular box of sorts. Maybe they did do that to collect sampled of the river floor, marine life, etc, besides her body. I'll search google images if a monkey doesn't have it handy.

I'm thinking they must have had to put her body on something to stabilize it, something like a gurney/stretcher EMS uses.  Do you remember the photo I'm taking about with all the rescuers lined up . . . reminded me of the old tug-of-war games.

Could the divers have been using it? Like maybe since they were right on the dam, kinda like how a mountain climber uses them for safety?
