What do debt and financial terrorism have in common?

Like many Americans, I've been watching the debt ceiling and rating drama with great interest.  What do I see?  Looting.  Financial terrorism of the worst kind.  Failed policies.  More failed spending plans.  Looting. 

Who's looking out for everyday people?  Why does all the money seem to go to global banks and foreign interests?  Why are all the losses 'socialized' onto the backs of hard working Americans? 

After almost three years of TARP, Stimulus, and money printing by the Fed to 'repair' our collapsed financial system, why hasn't anyone gone to jail?  Did the money just evaporate?  Disappear in some failed trades?  Hacker? 

Where are the people that made all those derivative deals?  Signed the contracts?  Promoted the junk mortgages?  "We don't have any experience with homeless people and mortgages...we don't have any experience to show homeless people won't pay their mortgages...you just don't want homeless people to have homes..."


For some reason, I heard someone on TV promote that same flawed logic with regard to the lost AAA rating "There is no evidence to show that America won't pay it's debt..."  Hmmm...how about Obama and others in his administration warning multiple times a day the nation risks default?  Inviting veterans to the WH to say they might not get paid? 

Who are the financial terrorists?  People who make threats of non-payment?  The same leftist people who've been telling people NOT to pay their mortgages or credit cards?

I heard an S&P rep David Beer say (my paraphrase) the US was just re-slotted to a group containing it's financial peers...folks with unsustainable spending and massive nation killing debt...

So, who are the financial terrorists?  Out of control government politicians spending wildly?  A Federal Reserve that just continues printing money and handing it out to foreign banks, businesses, rogue debt ridden states?  Why haven't the Fed's books been open to the light of day?  Made public?  Where does all that money really go?  Do those folks who get it ever pay it back?  Is money from the Fed just a lottery jackpot for the wealthy and well connected? 

Only the 'little people' pay taxes?  Everyone else gets TRILLIONS from the Fed and there is no one to hold them accountable for paying it back?

Who are the real financial terrorists?

"Faber: Brace for a Global 'Reboot' and a War"

"By printing money, problems are not solved, but they can be postponed, and they become larger. It's like the recession in 2001. Had there not been massive money printing, it would have been steeper than what we had, but equally, we would have avoided probably the financial crash in 2008."

The next crisis will be far bigger, according to Faber.

"The next time we have a global economic crisis, it will be much worse than 2008. Before this happens there will be money printing and there will be war. The whole system will collapse," he said. "That's why I'm advising people that they have to think it through. In a total collapse you don't want to own government bonds and cash."

He added: "Equities—they don't perform well, but at least you have the ownership of companies. Precious metals in that environment do relatively well. And of course, oil would do well if there was a war."

Oil?  Oil drilling?  For some reason, Obama won't let the US drill and use it's own resources.  Why leave the nation defenseless?  Maybe solar 'green' missiles are the wave of the future?  'Green' tanks?  Electronic airplanes?

Another congressman was on TV today suggesting that we printed money to bail out banks, we should print more money to bail out others.  Hmmm...the dollar was still worth something when all that printing bailed out the banks.  Today, the dollar is resembling something from a Banana Republic...who loses?  Folks that have saved for a lifetime? 

Maybe the nation needs to innovate and reboot much like the old Soviet Union did?  Give everyone a chance to reorganize along their political beliefs?  Some might be socialist in nature, others based on sound financial practices? 

If the nation can't agree on spending at the Federal level, perhaps the spending (and debt) shouldn't be done at the Federal level?  'Socialize' infrastructure and steal from every American to benefit a few political favorites?  Privatizing profits/slush funds, socializing losses/debt/serfdom.

Why not let communities decide on infrastructure, spending, debt, and taxes?  Push all those $$$ to the local level? 

I think Americans, as free people, should be able to keep most of what they earn.  NO MORE TAXES.  FIX the PONZI welfare/Social Security/Medicare schemes.

WHERE IS THAT EXAMPLE OF A NATION THAT SPENT IT'S WAY TO PROSPERITY BASED ON DEBT, BORROWING, AND PRINTING MONEY?

We have a nation in which cell phone service is some kind of 'human' right...so we give away cell phone service.  IIRC, nothing was set up to ensure that folks remained eligible, or that service was cancelled if the phone was stolen or gotten based on fraud.  Free phone for life?  A lifetime $$$ entitlement for cell phone makers and companies?  Waste, fraud, and abuse?

Now, free birth control pills.  Did birth control pills ever prevent pregnancy?  Does it matter how many you prescribe to women if nobody takes them?  'Vulnerable' populations use them improperly, stop using them, or the prescriptions are given out like candy?

I can imagine a nation in which doctors write open ended prescriptions and the pills are automatically send out on a monthly basis, much like diabetes testing supplies.  Keep coming even when the women get pregnant, die, or ask them to stop!  Another entitlement for big pharma?  New and expensive drug makers?

Why aren't they giving away the popular affordable pills the third world uses?  The ones that are $.50 a month?  $9 a month?  How many auto prescriptions will be for the newest and most expansive?

I don't think pills ever prevented pregnancy.  What prevents pregnancy?  Individuals that make an effort to prevent pregnancy...take a pill, use a condom...folks that do something.  Giving out free pills never prevented a pregnancy...individuals have.

Wow.  They want to pass some 'free' trade bills to help American exports.  For some reason, the Obama administration ties them to worker compensating for those affected by outsourcing and lost American jobs and human rights.  What exactly is the enforcement mechanism?  More debt on the backs of Americans?  Hmmm...maybe we won't pay out bills, but will give you more money through higher interest rates and borrowing?

How exactly does that free trade work?  Hmmm...Obama admin passes TARP, Stimulus, QE1, QE2, QE95, and throws money at foreign companies - 'green' jobs for foreign workers, oil jobs for those in Brazil and elsewhere... 

Green and oil jobs for foreigners, paid for by America.  An America mired in massive debt is impossible to repay.  What does Obama want?  More debt for America.  Who's going to forgive our debt?

Where are the green jobs for America?  The oil jobs?  Obama keeps exporting jobs, won't let Americans drill in America and create jobs.  However, the drilling seems to be wide open for foreigners!  Go figure. 

It's like our leaders in Washington stay up late thinking of ways to make everyday people pay more for oil, food, all the basics necessary for life.  The bells and whistles like cell phones and birth control they want to give away for free!!!

No jobs for Americans, keep exporting.  No housing, just make other nations rich so America will be homeless.  More illegal aliens to take the jobs that do exist.  Just keep putting Americans on the dole.
