Again, did this guy have a rental car?  I'm really starting to think based on his priors, that he did something to her, Again, early in the morning 8/2 and got rid of her body, not calling the police until 6pm - but he would need something to transport her -  I'm starting to think he just said they were at Baby Beach because like I said before, I don't think people are generally there at that time and he figured no one could dispute his story -  Did he travel to Aruba a lot? Does he know anyone there?

This is starting to somewhat remind me of Taylor Behl and Ben Fawley - with the strangulation during sex, Sick b******

I've asked the same questions, and I also wonder if he knew her ex husband Kenneth Gardner.  Robyn and the ex husband have a court mediation and hearing set later this year.  The case was about modifying alimony, and settlement of the marital property.  The divorce was final in 2009, so this has been going on for a while.

And remember, she lost her job two weeks ago.

Claim contradicts boyfriend's statement that authorities have stopped looking for Frederick woman

There are mixed reports as to whether Aruban authorities have called off the search for Robyn Gardner of Frederick, 35, who went missing eight days ago on the Caribbean island.

Richard Forester of Bethesda, Gardner's boyfriend, was told by Aruban authorities that the search was called off, he said today.

But Andrew Cohen, Gardner's brother, said today that he and his parents have been in contact with authorities and the search continues. Special Agent Richard Wolf, an FBI spokesman, said today he was not aware of the Aruban authorities calling off the search.

Gardner is a very warm, loving and caring person, Cohen said.

“My gut feeling is that she is still out there somewhere,” he said.

A spokesperson for the Aruban prosecutor's office did not return a phone call to confirm the status of the investigation Wednesday night.

Forester said that he may go to Aruba next week to look for Forester said that he may go to Aruba next week to look for Gardner if the search does not continue.

Wolf said that the FBI has been assisting the Aruban police force with the case.

The Aruban police force wrote the FBI a letter and asked for assistance. The FBI will not open its own investigation, but rather offer assistance, he said.

"I've heard the search has been called off," Forester said.

In one case, a former girlfriend alleged that the man, Gary Giordano, stalked her, secretly videotaped them having sex and then posted pornographic images of her on the Internet, according to files in Montgomery County District Court. The woman sought and was granted a restraining order, court records show. No criminal charges were filed.

“She was scared to death of this man,” said the woman’s attorney, Gail Landau. “She thought he was capable of great anger and violence.”

Giordano was not criminally charged in Montgomery County, and the allegations by two women were made in civil cases. In each case, Giordano filed allegations of his own, asserting that a former girlfriend harassed him by distributing slanderous letters and that his then-wife hit him in the upper back with a 14-inch steel cooking spoon.

The most recent allegation of abuse against Giordano was filed Feb. 4 last year. The woman had met Giordano on the Internet about six months earlier, said Landau, the attorney.

The relationship turned sour when the woman found out that Giordano had secretly filmed the two having sex and posted intimate images of her on the Internet, Landau said in court filings in connection with the woman’s request for a restraining order. The woman confronted Giordano, who responded by placing photos of her inside the mailboxes of about five of her neighbors, Landau said.

Don't know how true it is, but they were supposedly seen in the JADS Dive Center on the day she disappeared.  On NG it was said that they had lunch at the restaurant connected to JADS.  The employees from JADS thought it was odd that they claimed to be snorkeling where Giardano claims they were.  They said it wasn't a place where people usually go for that.

Robyn Gardner, 35, had recently lost her job and was in a rocky relationship with her on-and-off boyfriend, Christina Jones. That’s why she went on vacation with another man, 50-year-old Gary Giordano, who Aruban authorities consider a suspect in the disappearance.

“She sat in this chair, I did her hair, she said she was going to Aruba,” Jones said. “I asked her with who, and she said Gary, and I wasn’t very excited about it.”

Jones said Gardner was supposed to go away with Giordano on a cruise about two months ago but changed her mind at the last minute.

“I’ll just say that the way that he dealt with it was not kind-hearted or understanding,” Jones said.

It was also reported on NG that computers and/or smartphones were sent to Curacao for investigation.  They may eventually also be sent to the Netherlands.

Color me jaded...I don't care.  I have absolutely no confidence in the Aruban authorities; and feel the same way about the authorities in Curacao.  Remember Amy Bradley?  Remember James Edward Hogan?

Human trafficking is alive and well on these islands, and until Robyn is found that will be a strong possibility in my mind.  Remember Amy Bradley?  If Giordano was posting pornographic pictures of another girlfriend, he could have been doing the same with Robyn.  If he's into that kind of stuff who knows how far he would go.  He may have cooked the whole trip up to get her to a place where she could disappear and American law enforcement would be shut out as usual.  Everyone knows after Natalee's case that in Aruba WHEN THERE IS NO BODY, THERE IS NO CASE!

Curacao, Venezuela, and Colombia are all very close to Aruba, along with Margarita Island to name a few.  All possibilities of where she could be by now IF Giordano handed her off to someone.  She could have already have arrived on at least two of them before he ever reported her missing.

It seems like I remember posting at least one article where drugs were brought in by boat in that area.  I'll look for it.

The islands and the Netherlands work together with the US authorities when it comes to drugs, why do they shut out the U. S. law enforcement when our citizens go missing on these islands?  It's just not right!

ORANJESTAD — From the report Trafficking in Persons (TIP) of the American government announced yesterday, it appears that Aruba is placed on list ‘TIER 2’. This means our country is not complying entirely with the guidelines of the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act (TVPA) although the necessary effort is made.

In 2009, Aruba, Curaçao and St. Maarten were mentioned in that report as transit harbor and final destination of routes for human trafficking and slave running, namely on forced labor and prostitution. The report indicated the specific recommendation to improve the penalization of human trafficking and slave running. According to the report 2010, insufficient efforts were made.

Aruba makes more effort
184 countries were evaluated this year on compliance of the guidelines against human trafficking. “The largest number ever included in the report,” says CdeBaca. Countries not complying with the rules run the risk of sanctions by the American government, for instance withdrawal of foreign aid. Compared to Curaçao for example, Aruba is making more effort. In the report, our neighboring island is included on the ‘TIER 2 watchlist’, meaning one has observed a ‘significant number’ or a ‘significant increase’ of the number of human trafficking and slave running victims on Curaçao. Moreover, according to the report, Curaçao was unable to prove the country is doing their utmost to combat human trafficking compared to last year or that the country has plans to take measures in following the guidelines next year.

Robyn Gardner, Bethesda woman missing in Aruba

The 35-year-old vivacious woman hasn’t been heard form in six days. She was last seen Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino in Oranjestad, Aruba.

Gardner, who lived and worked in Bethesda, left for Aruba on July 31st. Richard Forester says they had been dating for two and a half years, but quarreled before she left. He received his last e-mail from Gardner Tuesday, three hours before she was reported missing.

“The last message I got from her was ‘I love you,’” Forester said. “We will talk and sort things out when I get back,” Gardner wrote.

Forester thought Gardner went with a friend, but now believes she had a romantic relationship with her companion. The man notified Aruban authorities Gardner was missing. He said a current pulled her out to sea while snorkeling, according to an account in a local newspaper.

“I just don't think she was snorkeling. I think something has happened at this person's hand,” Forester alleges.

The intense search for Gardner bears some similarities to the 2005 disappearance of teenager Natalee Holloway. She never made it back to her plane to leave after a vacation on the island, and her body was never found.
