I have no idea why Robyn would have gone anywhere with any guy that she really did not know...especially this one! I wish we knew the answers to that question. The whole thing is just weird.

A man who was fishing on the beach says Gardner and her companion Gary Giordano left the beach without going in the water.  The witness says the two drove off and didn't return to the beach.

Giordano claims he and Gardner were snorkeling and she disappeared in the water.   Giordano is being held as a suspect in her disappearance.

Among the reasons he is being held is an insurance policy he purchased on Gardner, that he tried to collect on after her disappearance.   Giordano, who purchased the accidental policy shortly before travelling to the Dutch Caribbean island with the 35-year-old, tried to begin redeeming the American Express policy, which he took out just days before their trip and unusually only covered the trip to Aruba.
According to a police source, Giordano purchased a more expensive one-year policy instead of a more commonly purchased five year policy.

Was the fisherman still there when Giordano came back?

Why would it be unusual for a travel policy to only cover the trip?  I thought they were only good for the trip.  What's with one or five years?? Is a "five" year policy more common?

This is soooo Aruba.

Taking "insider" secret info and trying to make sense of it.  Why not track down the witness and do a direct quote?  I am tired of the "officials" having to keep info quiet for "the investigation" but leaking innuendo.

If Robyn is on land those wild dogs would have scattered her bones by now.  Maybe that's what they're hoping for.

You know, no area of that island can be searched without a specific lead telling them exactly where to search.  It's probably too late for a tracking dog to start at the restaurant where they were seen.

Could it be that Gary Giordano did not anticipate Aruban authorities challenging his snorkling/drowning story?

Could it be that Gary Giodano and/or Aruban authorities did not anticipate the media to become an issue?  Think about it.  If Robert Forester had not contacted the NHRC would Giodano had caught that plane home to the States and ... the disappearance of Robyn Gardner would have been categorized as an accidental drowning.  Case Closed!

BETH HOLLOWAY, NATALEE HOLLOWAY`S MOTHER: Well, first of all, Richard made the call to the Natalee Holloway Resource Center on August the 8th, which was a great move on his part. We were able to immediately pull together some photos that Richard had given us.

And the biggest asset of the Natalee Holloway Resource Center is that we provide is we send out the media release. And as we al know, media is essential in helping to solicit tips and eyewitnesses. So we got that ball rolling through Richard`s efforts.

PINSKY: And Beth, I must say, it has to bring up all of those old feelings, even just seeing what Richard is going through. Have you been in contact with her family?

HOLLOWAY: I have not been in contact with Robyn`s family. And Richard has been communicating with the staff at the Natalee Holloway Resource Center. So we have just been -- I have just been working with the staff there to coordinate.

PINSKY: Has her family been involved with this?

HOLLOWAY: Her family has -- they have not -- no one at the Natalee Holloway Resource Center has spoken to Robyn`s family. I believe the only two people they have spoken to are the cousin and Richard himself.

Police Reveal 'Bloody Handprint' Evidence In Aruba Mystery Disappearance Doesn't Exist
Posted on Aug 21, 2011 @ 06:00AM

A purported key piece evidence in the mysterious disappearance of missing American woman Robyn Gardner doesn't exist, police have revealed.

Blood was reportedly found on a rock near the restaurant not far from where Gardner and her traveling companion Gary Giordano were last seen together.

PHOTOS: Richard Forester And Robyn Gardner

But Aruba Solicitor General Taco Stein said in an interview Saturday night: "The detail about the hand print and blood is not true."

"That is not something that we have found," the Solicitor General said, adding: "Let me put that to rest as that only hinders the investigation."

Speaking to Judge Jeanine Pirro on Fox News' Justice with Judge Jeanine, Stein also shed new light on the graphic photographs that authorities found on Giordano's camera, showing the missing Maryland woman in various sexual positions.

"I'm told there is no sign of duress at all (in the images)," General Stein told Judge Pirro.

One law enforcement source had described the images as "beyond pornographic," though General Stein stopped short of that description.

He said, "Those photos were explicit. That's all I have said and that is all I am going to say. I have not seen the pictures myself."

Not much coming out of the Aruban media, seems newspapers staffs don't work on Sunday mornings. Hopefully this week the DNA will come back, and Robyn will be found. That way the case will no go unsolved, as Natalee's was.

I read somewhere that if after 16 days nothing is found and the police wants to keep Gary for a longer period of time, the judge can order another 60 days. Hopefully that is true.

I am still curious about he shooting porno pictures with her or other women before. The reason I can see of him taking her pictures before killing her is to have proof that their relationship was sexual, and that if the other boyfriend wanted to contest the insurance inquest saying Gary and Robyn were not living together or having a relationship, that the photos would prove otherwise. Then again, he could just be a pervert.

I found myself shaking my head yesterday, visualizing Gary contacting the AE Insurance carrier and saying, "excuse me, my girlfriend went missing two days ago and I want to know how can I collect on her life insurance policy you sold me last week"...

... just like Shapiro and Kardashian submitting a motion to Judge Ito to return OJ's expensive leather gloves.

New Witness Disputes Gary Giordano's Claims in Case of Missing Woman in Aruba

By OLIVIA KATRANDJIAN
Aug. 21, 2011

As Aruba authorities question Gary Giordano in the disappearance of his traveling companion American Robyn Gardner, a new witness has disputed his account of what happened the day Gardner disappeared.

Giordano's account is based on his claim that he and Gardner had gone snorkeling the day she disappeared, but the witness disputes those claims.

The witness says he was fishing on a beach on that day and he saw the two take a walk along the reef around 4 p.m., but they never went in the water.

A short time later, the couple drove away and he never saw either of them again, the witness says.

"If this witness ends up being accurate and correct as to locations of both Mr. Giordano and Ms. Gardner, it's yet another piece of evidence that's inconsistent with his story," said ABC News consultant Brad Garrett, a former FBI agent.

Well, since Gary was at the beach when he called then maybe the fisherman did not see him or see them.  It would be important to know if he returned alone.

Also, video surveillance emerges, Giordano fumbling around behind the restaurant for several minutes before he goes in to try to report her missing. Now, how does that jive with initial reports that he approached a couple, an unknown couple on the beach, asking them to call 911? How many people did he ask to call 911? And why was he making such a spectacle of looking for her?

 ::snipping2::

GRACE: I want to go through the timeline, Alexis Weed.

He`s having lunch at rum reef with Gardner, who he tells people has taken - she`s taken sleeping pills. That`s around 4:00 in the afternoon. Fast-forward, they have lunch, they`re both bone dry, with no snorkel gear to be seen. At 6:02, just two hours later, he appears where on surveillance video, Alexis.

ALEXIS WEED, PRODUCER, NANCY GRACE SHOW: Right, Nancy, we`re hearing through ABC news that he appears on this surveillance video at 6:02, he`s behind the restaurant where they had that meal and he`s knocking on some shutters on the back of that restaurant, he then at 6:20 is heads to the kitchen, the back kitchen of the restaurant and says to someone there that they need to call police.

GRACE: Well, how does that jive, Martin Savidge? Joining us from Aruba, with the initial reports that he approaches an anonymous couple on the beach begging to use their cell phone at 6:30 to report her missing, that she`s drifted out to sea, Martin.

MARTIN SAVIDGE, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Well, here is how that can go down. First of all, the way that ABC describes all the cameras is not possible because we walked around the place. There are six cameras at the front of the facility. There are none at the back of this facility. So you can`t see what`s going on behind the restaurant.

That restaurant also closes between 5:00 and 5:30. We double-checked that today. So at 6:30, if he had gone there, there was no one there. That`s why he may appear to be rattling on doors or knocking on things. There is no one there at that time. It is closed, which could be why he then may have gone to the beach to get a phone there. The question is why didn`t he have a phone?

GRACE: Tell people in the kitchen to call 911. But that makes sense, Martin Savidge. That makes absolute sense.

Page 120:  Natalee never returned to the Holiday Inn. We had seen the tapes with a room full of police officials.  These two security guards also do not appear on the Holiday Inn security videos that we were shown.  So why these arrests?  Islanders are outraged.  And so are we.  It’s blatant discrimination.

Page 182:  Helen is very positive.  "It looks good that they will remain in custody" she says.  Then just three hours after she tells me this encouraging news, a devastating call comes from an AP reporter.  Paulus van der Sloot and his attorney are bragging to everyone that all three suspects are getting out day after tomorrow!.  Then all the media start calling.  I call Helen, then FBI agent Bill and the U.S. vice-consul.  None of them have this information. So we tell the media it must be a rumor.  But the word is out all over the island from the defense side that all three suspects will walk.  Four and a half hours after this announcement is made to international media by Joran's father and his defense team, the FBI calls to tell me that it is indeed true.  So the three suspects who were last seen with my daughter, and who offered multiple versions of what happened that night, will go free.   And we are the last ones to find out.

Video shows the pair at the Rum Beef Bar & Grill in the Baby Beach area of the island where Ms Gardner went missing.

Restaurant staff have told investigators that the woman seemed woozy while they ate.

Surveillance footage also shows Giordano in his rental car at the back of the restaurant, but the car had tinted windows so no one else in the vehicle can be seen.
