On crabs?  Cool

Maybe I could use those on the chiggers I got from raking oak leaves yesterday... Smile

Go find the insect repellet that has the Highest DEET content you can find.
Spray/Rub over the bites.
Chiggers on me .. untreated end up being about 1/2 the size of a dime.
I'v tried Nail Polish, Coal Oil, cortizone (sp) etc.. but the high DEET content repellet applied after the bites seems to kill the critters & stop the bite reaction.

I like Burt's Bees bug spray to prevent bites and Benadryl gel to soothe them after the fact.

Fox / Greta say that Edwin Hall has an extensive juvenile record. Not much as an adult, but some pretty troubling stuff as a juvenile. FWIW.

Hmm.  So you apply the insect repellent AFTER the bite.  Interesting...it's certainly worth a try.

Did you know that there is such a thing as prescription fish oil capsules? I only know this because my doctor makes me take them, they cost $48.00 a month, and my insurance doesn't cover them.  Shocked

Can you not buy those over-the-counter?  I thought you could, but maybe yours are super-capsules.  Wink  Wink

Well, the doctor says they're super-capsules.  Rolling Eyes

I don't think I really knew this.  Maybe there is better control of the amount than in an over-the-counter one. I'm going to ask around.

I felt bad for the boyfriend, too, none. It was painful to watch someone so young and innocent try to come to terms with something so horrible.

welcome back BlueKYGirl, yes it's wrong for such young and tender hearts to have to discover such loss so young. I hope he can stay close to her family for that's a part of her he can still touch.

I used to take a prescription niacin and the last time I ran out I just got some over the counter stuff.  I go back to the doctor and he is asking if I am still taking this and that and this and that and when he got to the niaspan I said no, but I was taking an over the counter one.  He says, okay that 's fine.  Same thing.   Mad

I kind of think that is like Potassium tablets. you can buy them over the counter, but my Doctor prescribes them.  I asked why I can't buy them over the counter, or eat a banana a day. He said I would have to eat a 13 foot banana every day to get the same amount of Potassium. Or take 63 of the over the counter Potassium.  I take the prescription pill.  I got really tired of that many bananas.

I have to chime in on Chick-fil-A -

Everything is really good, with the exception of the waffle fries, which I don't care for anyway, so maybe it's just me.

The pies are made by Edwards, located at One Lemon Lane  Laughing  in Atlanta; the Lemon Meringue Pie is just like what my mother made (vanilla wafer crust) and called Lemon Icebox. Located in a freezer counter near you, I hope. (I can make this, but my meringue is sort of hit-or-miss. Mother's and Mr. Edward's, perfect every time.)
http://www.edwardsbaking.com/

Truett Cathy (Chick-fil-A founder) is a gracious and generous man. He has spoken at a dinner meetings at my church (always a full house, I might add). He is a rich man in every way - including money.

And because he is a very serious Christian, all Chick-fil-A stores are closed on Sundays.

The chicken salad is good, especially as a sandwich on toasted whole wheat. That's what I usually get, with lemonade and carrot & raisin salad. And yes, the chicken soup is good too.

This has nothing to do with Natalee Holloway, and I apologize for that.

I will also chime in.  Chik Fil A is a big supporter of schools in the communities where they are located.  Here, they "adopted" the K-1 school's accelerated reading program.  They give free ice creams, free kids meals for points earned by reading.  At the end of the year, all the kids who had at least 100 points (roughly 200 books) got to leave school and have lunch catered by Chik Fil A at a nearby park... my 1st grader could not wait to earn his 100th point so he could go to the picnic.  I think there were about 90 kids this year.

And, Hi, Monkeys.  I have been lurking while down with strep throat... yuk
