Did you know that there is such a thing as prescription fish oil capsules? I only know this because my doctor makes me take them, they cost $48.00 a month, and my insurance doesn't cover them.  

Can you not buy those over-the-counter?  I thought you could, but maybe yours are super-capsules.    

I kind of think that is like Potassium tablets. you can buy them over the counter, but my Doctor prescribes them.  I asked why I can't buy them over the counter, or eat a banana a day. He said I would have to eat a 13 foot banana every day to get the same amount of Potassium. Or take 63 of the over the counter Potassium.  I take the prescription pill.  I got really tired of that many bananas.

There is approx. 1 meq. of potassium per inch of banana. So it depends upon the dose per day the individual needs .

And a tractortrialer caught his chair in the grill and pushed him for 4 miles down the highway?  I couldnt hear it all.. but the man in the chair want hurt.. DANG!!

Maybe I could use those on the chiggers I got from raking oak leaves yesterday...

Go find the insect repellet that has the Highest DEET content you can find.
Spray/Rub over the bites.
Chiggers on me .. untreated end up being about 1/2 the size of a dime.
I'v tried Nail Polish, Coal Oil, cortizone (sp) etc.. but the high DEET content repellet applied after the bites seems to kill the critters & stop the bite reaction.

Hmm.  So you apply the insect repellent AFTER the bite.  Interesting...it's certainly worth a try.

It worked for me..
Had gone fishing with Dad Mid week (no repellent) and got bit and then on the week-end (applied a lot of repellent) and they died off.
Have uesed it ever since.. Besides this way you buy the repellent that you did not have

I am on 20 MEQ ER. Just quoting what my doctor said.  He said feet, not inches.

Hi all, just catching up and a few pages behind, so not sure if anybody else has responded.  But I do take fish oil too and it's over the counter for MUCH cheaper.....
