Rescue dogs from Netherlands search for missing tourist
Friday, 07 October 2011 02:44

Tuesday morning at 6:30, investigators and six doghandlers from the Netherlands with their dogs started a search at Sero Colorado. The handlers and their dogs arrived on Aruba Sunday to help look for Robyn Gardner, an American woman who was reported missing by her travel partner.

The travel partner said he lost her at sea at Nanki, Sero Colorado; he was arrested a few days later, police suspected him of being involved in her disappearance. The Public Prosecutor’s Office requested the assistance from the Netherlands. The dogs are not cadaver dogs, which was the case in the Holloway investigation. Although authorities do not expect to find Gardner alive, they are using rescue dogs that can detect cadavers, but can follow one or more specific scents as well.

Maybe immediately after Robyn's disappearance...but over TWO MONTHS after the fact, how does that make sense?

Jose Baez: 'It's Grossly Incompetent' for Cadaver Dogs to Search for the Missing Maryland Woman Remains Now
By JOHN QUINONES (@JohnQABC) and ROXANNA SHERWOOD
Oct. 7, 2011

The defense attorney for Gary Giordano believes it is a waste of time for Aruban authorities to just now bring in cadaver dogs to search for the remains of his client's missing travel companion.

"I think it's grossly incompetent for cadaver dogs two plus months after the fact," Jose Baez told ABC's John Quinones. "Whatever scent of decomposition they expected to find is long gone."

 ::snipping2::

Giordano can be legally held for questioning until Oct. 31, at which time he could be allowed to go back to the United States, unless a judge decides there is evidence produced to continue to keep him there.

The solicitor general of the island is now saying he plans to ask for an extension to keep Giordano there longer. Authorities are not convinced he is telling the whole truth about exactly what happened to Gardner.

Dogs find no trace of missing US woman in Aruba

ORANJESTAD, Aruba—A team of cadaver dogs summoned to help search for the remains of a Maryland woman reported missing by her travel companion during a trip to Aruba are leaving the island without finding any clues, officials said Friday.

Prosecutor Taco Stein said he was not concerned that the search did not yield any evidence.

"We have other lines of investigation," he said.

The dogs searched a southeastern section of the Dutch Caribbean island known as Seroe Colorado. It is near the site where Gary Giordano reported 35-year-old Robyn Gardner of Frederick, Maryland, missing on Aug. 2.

I toally despise Jose Baez..however ..that maybe the onetruthful statement he has ever made as a defense attorney.

Bringing the cadaver dogs in now..after their little little play acting is useless.....Aruba was made for the likes of Baez as a defense attorney..even he can see what a farce their legal and police system is today and previous.

Cadaver dogs find nothing in Aruba search
October 8, 2011 - 3:57 PM

 ::snipping2::

Birmingham, Ala (WIAT)  An American tourist disappears on a vacation trip to Aruba.  The man she was last seen is the prime suspect.  But there's no body.  Does that mean there's no legal case?

That's how it played out more than six years ago when Mountain Brook teen Natalee Holloway vanished on a graduation trip to Aruba.  She was last seen leaving an Oranjestad bar with local teen Joran van der Sloot.  Despite repeated questioning by Aruban authorities...and despite a variety of later-denied versions of what happened that night...van der Sloot was never charged.

An eerily similar scenario is playing out now in the case of Robyn Gardner of suburban Washington, DC. Perhaps the biggest difference is the zeal with which Aruban authorities are pursuing the investigation involving her travelling companion, Gary Giordano.  His lawyers have even blamed the Holloway case for the intensity of the efforts against their client.

But, so far, those investigative efforts are reaching the same result as in Natalee's case....nothing tangible.  A search of the island by cadaver dogs this week has turned up nothing.  Here's the Associated Press report from Aruba.

This day had the same format as yesterday morning. It was further found that with the previous day has ended. The early morning was cloudy so the sun could not immediately put his stamp. Also there was a pleasant breeze. We start the temperature more bearable which is nice. It is all the dogs and worked well together and the Aruban police can see what we do and what AOL has been investigated. With them it goen together and the atmosphere is very good. The morning we stopped in an area which was also very rough in some places very difficult to access. However, it was decided a further pause to rest above the dogs to give extra rest because we have to / want to search Sunday. Therefore, we drove to our stay and will be back early Friday morning start searching.
We will keep you informed on this page.

Jose Baez Makes Sense

October 08, 2011 06:25 AM EDT

 ::snipping2::
It seems as though these investigators in Aruba just don't know what they're doing. Are the drunken tour-guides moonlighting as police on this popular tourist island? It certainly does seem so when they wait until two months after the disappearance of Robyn Gardner before bringing scent/cadaver dogs into the equation. Jose Baez thinks that's ridiculous and well, he's absolutely right. Why on Earth has it taken this long to bring scent dogs to search for the missing Maryland woman? It looks like Jose is going to help, yet again, another accused murderer go free; because the investigators on this case have botched it from the get-go.

Are they using scent dogs or cadaver dogs?  Cadaver dogs would be helpful even now.  Scent dogs would be useless.  For some reason I thought they were using cadaver dogs.

ARUBA SEX SWINGER DEATH TRAP: “IT COULD HAVE BEEN ME!”
Published on: October 10, 2011
by John Blosser , NATIONAL ENQUIRER

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW! Swinger invited to join tragic ROBYN GARDNER in Aruba by sex-crazed murder suspect—HOW she escaped death! “I just thank God I’m still alive!”

That’s what self-admitted swinger Rebecca Toring told The ENQUIRER in a bombshell world exclusive interview while detailing how she cheated death at the hands of Gary Giordano – the fiend imprisoned in Aruba on suspicion of killing blonde beauty Robyn Gardner for a $1.5 million insurance payoff.

“Gary invited me to Aruba, and if I had gone I would probably be dead now – just like poor Robyn,” said a badly shaken Rebecca.

Feeling “bad vibes” about the twisted lothario, Rebecca, 36, turned him down. But Robyn went with him on what cops believe was a final fatal fling in the sun.

The FBI interviewed Rebecca twice, believing the Williamsburg, Va., woman holds vital clues about Giordano. “The agents wanted to know everything about Gary – what kind of sex he liked, the nature of our relationship, how and where I met him,” said Rebecca. “They asked me if he had suggested me going on a trip with him and buying life insurance – and I told them he had. The thought of it all sends chills up my spine!”

For months Giordano tried to get Rebecca to travel to Maryland to have sex with him and the woman he called “my girlfriend Robyn,” she revealed.

Rebecca admitted she was planning to meet the couple for three-way sex and had a date set for Aug. 10 – after Giordano’s scheduled return from Aruba!

Rescue dogs?  What's wrong with them?  I know they say the dogs "can" detect cadavers but why not use CADAVER dogs if you don't suspect she is alive.  Unreal.
