"I'm trying to raise money for searches, reward money, private investigators, and whatever resources we need to expand the search," Richard Forester tells RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.

The Robyn Gardner Foundation page raised $1236 in its first few days but has garnered as much criticism as it has donations so far.

"I would certainly like to see more donations," said Forester, who admitted that he thinks some people aren't giving money as they agree with the Aruban authorities that Robyn is most likely dead.

"I believe she is alive and it is a shame that some of her friends may not think that," he explained.

Others have accused the boyfriend she left behind of simply trying to boost his own bank account.

"I’m getting a lot of scrutiny from ignorant people who are saying I’m using it for myself. It is illegal to use funds for my own gain, it would land me in prison!

"I am so shocked by the negativity, it hurts that I'm under such suspicion," Forester adamantly told Radar."I'm not making a salary and it’s not for me to have a slush fund."

One critic who has been personally attacking Richard online is a psychic who approached him soon after Robyn went missing on August 2.

" I wouldn’t let her be attached to the case.  She calls herself a world renowned psychic detective, she’s just posting toxic information," he explained.

Forester is more concerned about getting positive feedback from Robyn's family, who have been very supportive of his efforts.

"Robyn's 21-year-old brother, Andrew, has taken all this hard, he’s sad and scared as he was very close to her. He has just graduated from college and wants his big sister back," he explained.

I didn't post any of it to judge CJ. 

I still respect her for at least going to Aruba, and doing what she could to find her friend and roommate, Robyn.  And I respect her for not just continuing the appearance of going along with the lies and deceit of RF on that FB page, that (I think) started out with good intentions when Robyn's brother created it; but under his (RF's) control has changed dramatically.  And not for the good, imo.  I'm so glad I just read there, and never "liked" it.

I can't help but wonder if the same happened to Robyn, how much he was controlling her?  In the MSN he blamed Robyn's drinking for the police being called on numerous occasions that they were fighting.  He says Robyn was drinking, what was he doing?  He couldn't walk away?  I'm sorry...I just don't accept his placing all the blame on Robyn; who is not here to defend herself.  Especially coming from someone who professes his undying love for her but has raised my hinkey meter about the truthfulness of that (and other things) on many occasions; with his statements and actions. JMO

I hope and pray that if there is ANYTHING that CJ (or any of Robyn's other friends) know about what was going on in her life that they have not told the authorities; that they will do it now.  You never know what little bit of information (with investigation) may lead to something that will shed light on what happened in Aruba!

No matter what choices Robyn made, she deserves to come home.

If she was murdered, she deserves a proper burial in her country.

No matter how much money RF collects with his fundraiser, I don't believe he will ever be instrumental in finding her.  And he's certainly not the type person to be involved in other missing persons cases.  JMHO

Robyn Gardner Donation Fund Attracts Negative Attention

Robyn Gardner vanished three months ago while on an Aruban vacation with the only suspect in the case, Gary Giordano. Since her disappearance, interest in this case have dwindled as Aruban authorities keep Giordano behind bars. In some of the latest developments related to this case, it seems that the former boyfriend of the missing Maryland woman has set up a sort of donation fundraiser in the woman's name.

Richard Forester, the former boyfriend of the missing Maryland woman, set up the following donation application, where you can donate as much or as little as you want to supposedly aid in the search for Robyn Gardner. This isn't to question the man's motives by any stretch, because it's obvious that he has feelings still for the woman who left him behind for a man at least 20 years older than she.

Should you donate your money to Richard Forester?

It's rumored that the man has been living in his car, and doesn't have a dime to his name. It's also been reported that the Natalee Holloway Resource Center stopped working with the family of Robyn Gardner. So it doesn't appear that they are receiving any help in the search for the missing woman. It's up to you to make the decision of donating money to someone online, especially if you think it's to lend a hand in such a high-profile missing persons case. Practice wise judgement, though, and don't be taken for a ride. It can't be commented on whether or not RadarOnline writers think Richard's donation page is on the up-and-up.

The former boyfriend of the missing Maryland woman claims that he's upset with people who seem to accept that she may be dead. He's convinced that she's still alive even though the small bits of evidence obtained by Aruban authorities indicate otherwise.

Michael Michalowicz I am hoping for the best for an old friend missing in Aruba. I simply ask that you reserve judgement from the press. Regardless of the facts evolving in the situation, she does not deserve to simply disappear off the face of the earth. I am comforted by the support she, her family and friends are getting however it makes me sick seeing the callousness in humanity for those who objectify the situation and judge her based upon potentially questionable decisions she made.

Yes, she does Klaas.  I've gone back to them many times just to see her when she looked so happy.  IMO she was naturally pretty without all the enhancements that obviously came later.  Makes me sad when I wonder why she thought she needed all of that.

In no way am I judging, however I do feel if Robyn had this type of lifestyle then there are more avenues that could assist the authorities in locating her. In researching Robyn, I've come across minor connections to Canada & have no idea if it's at all relevant. Same goes with her ex-husband. Also her so called self described fatal attraction bf that most people are hinky about.

Basically what I think is that no matter what Robyn's history is, if she's fallen victim to a despicable crime, she's still innocent & deserves to be found, but unless all authorities involved know the full derailed history of her past, then it could be hard to get to the bottom of it all. What about if Giordano wasn't working alone? What about if he actually didn't do anything? It's my opinion that he's totally involved but there's sooo much more to this story.

If, big if, Robyn was involved in anything shady in her past or present endeavors, then there could very well be a questionable contact that authorities should be looking at...most especially if it's a true network involved.

No matter how anybody looks at it all, if porn (soft or hard), escorting, stripping, nude model pics were involved...then she could have encountered far more undesirable people. Any of her friends that know anything shady about her past but are afraid to speak to authorities in full should be afraid for themselves as well. Anybody that's told authorities all they know deserves kudos.
