Wonder if the creepy pervert (IMO) will now try to deal some info on Susan to save his hiny-hole from the inmates?

I'll bet he turns on his dead son quicker than than spit.

Could it be that that there will be a plea deal with investigators and ... the truth encompassing the demise and disappearing of Susan Powell will be revealed?

When I consider the intense emotional pain of Susan's familly ... this is my heartfelt prayer.

Janet

Janet- I honestly do not believe that Steve Powell would ever in a billion years give up Susan's location.

We are working on part 2 of our series which has required reading and analysis of over 1000 documents encompassing 6 or so critical years in the families life.   I truly believe Steve Powell will sit in jail the rest of his life before he will utter a word about his potential involvement in Susan's death, and I strongly believe he was involved in all aspects.

He has a sincere hatred for the Mormon religion like I have never seen take over a person.  I do not know much about the Mormon culture outside of passing information but I would be willing to bet wherever she is, it has to do with an anti-mormon message and would be offensive to her and the Cox's and their beliefs in some way.

Blink ... you could be right.  I am only speculating but ... I contend that Steve Powell loves Steve Powell more than he loves Josh ... more than he hates the Mormon religion.  Therefore ... IF Steve became involved FOLLOWING the demise of Susan ... somehow it makes sense to me that this evil monster who lacks a conscience will be requesting a plea deal if a plea deal is not offered.

I could be wrong.  What will be will be.

Search warrant ruled legal; Powell to stand trial in May

TACOMA -- A Pierce County judge ruled Tuesday that a warrant used to collect evidence in the upcoming voyeurism trial against Steven Powell was obtained legally.

The decision was made by Judge Ronald Culpepper following a hearing Monday in which Powell's attorneys argued the warrant violated the Fourth Amendment.

Powell will stand trial May 7 for 14 counts of voyeurism and one count of possessing pictures of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Powell is accused of taking pictures and video of children in his neighborhood without their permission. The evidence was discovered by police during a raid of Powell's home last fall, while officers were investigating the disappearance of his daughter-in-law, Susan Powell.

Judge Culpepper said police had probable cause to seize Susan's journals, which were believed to be in the home, and other digital material.

Culpepper added that it was reasonable for police to believe Steven and his son Josh discussed Susan's disappearance.

Chuck Cox, Susan’s father said he hopes putting Steven Powell on trial will help investigators locate Susan. However, Cox said he would not be in favor for letting Powell out of jail in exchange for information about Susan’s whereabouts.

“We think it’s important to keep Steve off the streets,” said Cox.

Powell’s daughter, Alina, said she disagrees with the judge’s ruling. She believes police used illegal means to write the warrant and said they “fabricated” evidence against her father.

When asked if her father will get a fair trial, Powell said, “I doubt it.”

 ::snipping2::

Alina Powell, Steve Powell's daughter, previously said she believes the evidence against her father was fabricated. She said Tuesday she doubted her father would get a fair trial.

Steve Powell's bedroom also contained images of nude female bodies with Susan Powell's face copied onto them, authorities said in court documents.

In one set of journals that investigators have described in court documents, Susan Powell wrote that she wished her husband would sever ties with Steve Powell. She described Steven Powell as a pedophile.
 ::snipping2::

With Josh living there, he had to see this and apparently accepted his father's obsession with Susan.  This monster is beyond sick in the head.  I would not be surprised if Josh handed Susan over to Steven, maybe even still alive.  How well did they investigate Steven's movement in the months following her disappearance, and did they even bother to check the house Steven lived in for evidence of Susan's body?

Powell search warrant ruled legal; voyeurism case moves forward

To hear Superior Court Judge Ronald Culpepper tell it, it almost would have been a crime had Pierce County sheriff’s detectives not searched the South Hill home of a missing Utah woman’s father-in-law.

Because of Chuck Cox's desire to have SP incarcerated over his desire to find his daughter, the world is a safer place.  Now if we could just get the rest of the Powell nuts behind bars, things would be even better.

Steven Powell's daughter says he 'belongs behind bars'

SEATTLE —
Steven Powell's daughter said her father's failed motion to suppress evidence in the voyeurism and child pornography case against him means the truth about his behavior will finally be revealed.

Jennifer Graves, the sister of Josh Powell and the most outspoken member of Steven Powell's family, has said she believes both Josh and Steven Powell had some role in the disappearance of Josh's wife, Susan.
 ::snipping2::
Graves said she could be called to testify against her father at his upcoming trial. She said she hopes he will decide instead to plead guilty to the charges against him.

Steven Powell trial likely to proceed May 7 as scheduled
Published: Thursday, April 26 2012 4:05 p.m. MDT

TACOMA, Wash — Steven Powell, who is charged with voyeurism and possession of child pornography, will likely stand trial as scheduled in less than two weeks.

Attorneys for both sides met with Pierce County Superior Court Judge Ronald Culpepper Wednesday to work out a final schedule for the trial. There was a concern that the trial would be postponed because the judge had another case also scheduled during that time.

But Grant Blinn, with the Pierce County Prosecutor's Office, said it has now been worked out and the trial will likely proceed as scheduled on May 7.

Obviously, Jennifer Graves is not one of the "Powell nuts" I was referring to in my earlier post.  I can't imagine how isolated she must feel being the only white sheep in a herd of black ones (no racial implications intended).  I pray for her to continue to have the strength and courage to speak our against the rest of her biological family.

Cox Powell's parents seek files of Pierce, Utah law enforcement
Published: 04/27/12 6:36 pm | Updated: 04/27/12 6:41 pm

An attorney for the parents of Susan Cox Powell has filed a formal request with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department and the West Valley City Police Department to review all investigative files related to the missing woman’s case.

Anne Bremner, a Seattle attorney who represents Chuck and Judy Cox, filed the requests this week under Utah’s Government Records Access and Management Act and Washington State’s Public Records Act.

She asked for “complete copies of any and all investigative files concerning the disappearance of Susan Cox Powell.”

The request states the documents are being sought “in potential litigation in which they (the Coxes) may seek civil redress in connection with Susan’s disappearance on Dec. 6, 2009.”

No plea deal considered in Steven Powell case
April 27th, 2012 @ 4:54pm

TACOMA, Wash. — Prosecutors are not considering a plea with Steven Powell, who is headed to trial on voyeurism charges, in exchange for information about what he might know about his missing daughter-in-law, Susan Cox Powell.

"There's been absolutely no discussion of it," Pierce County assistant prosecutor Grant Blinn said Friday.

Despite speculation in the news media about whether a plea deal would be offered, he said it's a topic that no one has brought up with his office. He said he has never personally spoken to the Cox family, whose daughter was married to Steven Powell's son, Josh Powell, when she went missing in December 2009.

"Our focus is holding Steven Powell accountable for Pierce County," Blinn said.

What?  Never spoken to the Coxes?  Maybe someone should explain to this guy exactly who Susan was.  I swear, it's like all the state attys involved in this case have flippin' tunnel vision.

Do these clues help explain what happened to Utah mom Susan Powell?

 ::snipping2::

For example, why did police take a zip-lock baggie of hair from a bedroom closet at Steve Powell’s home during an Aug. 25, 2011, search? What, if anything, does a pair of blue/green winter gloves found in a mudroom under the stairs at the home during the search have to do with the case? Perhaps in time the pieces will complete a picture. In the meantime, do these clues help answer what happened to Susan Powell?

 ::snipping2::

Members of Mojave Underground, who explore historic mines, conducted three searches of every known and open mine in the Tintic mountains, West Tintics and the Dugway Range but found nothing. Only one mine left a question in the mind of Stuart Burgess, co-founder. The group publicly announced it would search the Iron Sides mine the weekend of June 25-26, 2010. When volunteers arrived, they discovered someone had poured gasoline down the 300-foot-deep shaft and also set fire to the wooden supports at the surface. It was still smoldering and they had to call off the exploration. Months later, Burgess returned and rappeled down the shaft; the bottom was unreachable, buried under 30 feet to 50 feet of debris.
