We just finished a rather lengthy, tedious project of emptying, sorting, rolling and depositing the change we have collected in a 5-gallon water jug for the past few years.

It was full. Almost impossible to move, but we got it done! (started working on it during the power outage we had with Hurricane Irene; we did it outside on the deck where we had light. LOL)

It's the kind that sits on top of a water cooler.

Just for fun, anyone care to guess the total?

OOoh, really have no idea.  It also depends on what types of change was in there, pennies, quarters, nickels, dimes, a mixture of all.  I really do not have a clue.

Tevye, hope the sale went well. If I could remember how to play a violin I would buy yours, but I really played viola mostly, quit violin.

We picked up Roscoe last weekend.  It wasn't at all what I expected.

Before you dumped out the coins, did the bottle look more like this   or this 

It was mixed change, had everything in it from dollar coins to pennies. (And one Toronto subway token.)

 

Well,you see I was guessing according to the Trimmy method.One kid took ciggie money,another beer money....you get what Imean?  No subway tokens,just a couple of guitar picks and a drum key. 
Back to work now.
Granddaughter was laughing with her friends about me being online as if I am a old timer....paybacks are he!!.She got a Ipod,and asked me to set it up for her.........I am upstairs cranking out Classic Rock and oops a little classical.  She will never know until she goes to bed. 

Tevye,I hope the sale went great today.    Off I go. 

Are you purchasing these songs as you set them up, or are they already ones you own.  I guess she will be getting a big surprise.

Garage Sale Highlites....

The girl who hugged me for helping load the armoire in her car! We were both so proud we made it work!

The old people who stopped by, more to just talk and have someone listen than to buy. Sweethearts.

The best part: a conversation between Livvie, my 3 yr old granddaughter and me.

Livvie: "Mimi, I ate a boogie"

Me: "Really? How'd it taste?"

Livvie "Gross!"

Me: "Well, ya know, I've never eaten a boogie, and I've never talked to anyone about that. It's good to know I can talk to you about boogies. I didn't even talk to your big brother about boogies!"

Livvie: "Mimi, don't eat boogies! It's gross!"

Me: "Ok. But if you ever eat a boogie again, and it tastes good, be sure and tell me, 'k?"

Livvie: "Ok, but just you"

I think today my little princess and I bonded...since I was sick when she was 1, she and I didn't get to spend the amount of time I spent with the grandsons. Way fun!

And yes, we sold A LOT of stuff! So glad to have it gone! Hope we sell the rest tomorrow. Man, am I pooped!!
