  Afternoon Monkeys, going to try and catch up in a bit, have to go to my brother's wedding party so I just wanted you all to know that Josef is home, I did not and have not lost it (yet). Brandi, the etching the man did from your picture was wonderful, he wasn't able to use the full picture, but you can see part of the halo. I just thought you would want to know. Thank you.

Garage Sale Highlites....

The girl who hugged me for helping load the armoire in her car! We were both so proud we made it work!

The old people who stopped by, more to just talk and have someone listen than to buy. Sweethearts.

The best part: a conversation between Livvie, my 3 yr old granddaughter and me.

Livvie: "Mimi, I ate a boogie"

Me: "Really? How'd it taste?"

Livvie "Gross!"

Me: "Well, ya know, I've never eaten a boogie, and I've never talked to anyone about that. It's good to know I can talk to you about boogies. I didn't even talk to your big brother about boogies!"

Livvie: "Mimi, don't eat boogies! It's gross!"

Me: "Ok. But if you ever eat a boogie again, and it tastes good, be sure and tell me, 'k?"

Livvie: "Ok, but just you"

I think today my little princess and I bonded...since I was sick when she was 1, she and I didn't get to spend the amount of time I spent with the grandsons. Way fun!

And yes, we sold A LOT of stuff! So glad to have it gone! Hope we sell the rest tomorrow. Man, am I pooped!!

Glad it went well Tevye, what a funny story about the boogie. Glad you two are bonding together.

Be at peace. You did what God wants us to do...the very best you could.

It will be hard, but remember...Jo's in heaven, running and eating grass and not getting sick. He's all good now. You did right by him. Sure, you might have a hole in your heart right now, but you know God will send something or somebody to fill it. Right now, I believe it's your angel lady at church.

I'll be thinking of you and sending prayers your way. 

  Thank you Tevye, monkey prayers worked. Today is the most I have been at peace since last Friday night.  Just hope it continues.

Before you dumped out the coins, did the bottle look more like this   or this 

It was mixed change, had everything in it from dollar coins to pennies. (And one Toronto subway token.)

 

Well,you see I was guessing according to the Trimmy method.One kid took ciggie money,another beer money....you get what Imean?  No subway tokens,just a couple of guitar picks and a drum key. 
Back to work now.
Granddaughter was laughing with her friends about me being online as if I am a old timer....paybacks are he!!.She got a Ipod,and asked me to set it up for her.........I am upstairs cranking out Classic Rock and oops a little classical.  She will never know until she goes to bed.

Did you roll them yourself or take them to one of those change machines that takes a percentage?

Rolled the quarters and the dimes (ugh) and took the pennies and nickels to coinstar and avoided paying the 9.8% fee by choosing an amazon gift card for the amount.

(Coinstar is not known to be very accurate, and always underpays when it is wrong, so we decided just to do the nickels and pennies there, since the total would not amount to that much.)

Wow that is a lot of rolling, I used coin star once and I think they underpaid me now that I think about it.

I pick up Josef tomorrow, he was ready today but I was already planning on going tomorrow. I don't know how I am going to handle it, so please pray for me monkeys.

I definitely will.  That has to be extremely hard to do. 

  Thank you Zoo, wasn't as hard as I thought, we all cried, saw one of his vets and she cried and said if I ever need to talk to give her a call. His box is gorgeous, came in a velvet  bag and they did a paw print impression in clay with his name on it.

Sounds wonderful, especially the part about the boogies.

 

My son used to do this all the time.  For a few years, I would gag thinking about even touching him, even though I am his mother.  He used to do it to annoy me.  He used to say that he was healther than I am becasue he ate his boogers.  He would put them in his mouth on his toungue and go mom, look and show it to me on his tongue.  Just thinking about it makes my mouth salivate.  Not too long ago this was either.  He is now 12 and says he does not do it any more and i have not seen him do it in a while, but I will never ever forget it and when he has kids, I am going to teach them to do the same thing to him.

      That is funny Zoo, him doing it to gross you out. Grosses me out too.

JSM, I'm so very sorry about your Josep.  I tried to read back to see what happened, but it must be many pages back.  I do remember that you have been worried about him for a very long time.  What a blessed puppy he was to have you love him & watch over him the way that you did.

Thank you Brandi, the etching is beautiful. I do have good people around me and great monkeys that have helped me through this. Thank you ALL for the support.

PS... talked to the girl that deals with the lady that gets dogs from shelters and she said that whenever I am ready she will tell the lady and she will get me exactly what kind of dog I want.  So I am getting closer, just not there just yet.

Just wanted to wave a hello.
 
Have been sick in bed and now on steriods.  Not helping.  In the meantime, Mom is in the hospital with pneumonia.  She is doing much better.
Sick bed is a good place to pray . . . having been praying for everyone each day.
Must get the energy to do church tomorrow as it is Homecoming for one of the churches and always a big day.  Thank goodness I won't have to preach as we always have a guest preacher.

He thought he had a slight chance getting one for Christmas, but not his Birthday.

We surprised him with it, and he is ecstatic.
