Taking my Mom to the doctor as she may have pneumonia and is having difficulty breathing.  She is 86 and it really scares her.

Morning Sister!!! Prayers for your Mom and prayers the pneumonia clears up soon. Is she going to the doctor??

Yes, she is going to the doctor this afternoon.  I will probably spend the night with her.  She has a lot of breathing difficulties and yesterday was outside trimming a bush (like she needed to do that :>) and lost her breath.  Lots of spitting up junk (I won't be graphic).  She has a hard time hearing so I will go in with her to make sure everything is ok and she just needs medications.
Thank you so kindly for the prayers.

  Good thing you are going with her, hope everything turns out alright. Why on earth was she trimming bushes??? You are welcome for the prayers, you and Connie are always in them and will add your mom as well. 

Why was she trimming the bushes?  I asked the same thing . . . "I wanted to get some exercise" . . . to which I told her, take your walker and walk around the driveway, it's paved, etc.  I know where I get my hard-headedness from . . .
 

  I guess that is where you get the hard headedness too!!! She sounds a lot like my Grandmother

Morning Monkeys!!!! Prayers for all in need. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Had dinner with my skating coaches and a skater from France that is here (one of the coaches husband does his choreography) very cute kid (he's 22), polite, down to earth and even let my friend and I decide on his costume design (he is skating to the Jungle Book music).

I don't know which song, probably a compilation of them all. He skates in three weeks in Bratislava, so hopefully it will be on YouTube and if so, I will post it. I love that movie too!!!

Ah..where I am is under seige from the rains and wind.  Flooding everywhere with roads closed.  My family and grandchildren are here, they were either able to come home or school was canceled..but some schools closed earlier today..and by closed I mean during school they said they were closing but all children needed to remain in school..no bus service..the flooding is that bad.  I am praying for those little children having to spend the night at school..safe and sound with their friends and teachers..but I am sure afraid since this is not the norm...even in bad snow storms the children either don't go to school or get released early. Today the flooding was so bad they had to remain at school.

I am praying for all families that can not be togather tonight ..peace be with them.

where are you located at Gypsy? those little kids must be confused that they can't come home..imagine how the parents must feel that they can't get to their children...

Hi everyone else!

I am located in south central PA.  The schools that had to close yesterday afternoon were in the Hershey/ Harrisburg area.  It was a first that they had to remain in there overnight. Parents could try to come get them, but they advised against it last night.. they were not running the school buses and the high school students who drove were not allowed to drive from the school property.  That was a precaution.  I think it was best they erred on the safe side of things when it comes to the safety of the children.  Many schools and armorys are being used as evacuation centers.

Right now they are evacuating areas of Harrisburg along the river..been watching it on TV..they are stopping all transit service between 5 and 6 pm tonight.  They are asking downtown businesses..bars and restaurants to close by 5 pm..the last thing they need is a bunch of drunks trying to swim in the Susquehanna river during this flood.

The flooding is really bad in Hershey, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebebnon, anywhere in the general area area with creeks and rivers....and our creeks are usually more like a river then what one thinks of as creeks.  Some bison at Hershey XZoo died due to drowning.

Parts of York and Adams county are flooded..all schools and most government offices are closed.  Rivers and creeks are cresting at as much as 21 feet above flood stage...and they think they will continue to rise until Saturday evening in my area.  I am safe and sound on high ground...not any closer then 3 miles to a creek..which by the way has flooded out that area, roads and the bridges crossing it have dissappeared below the water.  Glad I live on high ground..and knock on wood no roof leaks or basement leaks yet.

I am really tired of this rain.

Sending out prayers for Sister's Mom.    Please let us know how she's doing.  It's good you are accompanying her to the doctor's and that she's going today. 

Such crazy weather these days!  I'm sorry you've had so much rain GypsyDD.  I hope you and your family & friends stay safe.  We are in an extreme drought right now in Texas, and there's no rain in sight.  The fires have been awful
