I apologize.  I scanned you post too quickly.  I agree.  I don't think Joran will be "walking" for a long time.  Twenty to thirty years in a Peruvian lockup and ... then it is extradition to the States to face extortion charges.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) - The strange tale of an American doctor who financially supports Joran van der Sloot took yet another twist Monday night on Dutch television.

According to Radio Netherlands Worldwide, radiologist Mary Hamer says the murder of Stephany Flores on 30 May 2010, exactly five years after the disappearance of US teen Natalee Holloway, is an "anniversary reaction caused by PTSD".

To Lake City Florida doctor Mary Hamer those charges are just more elements of a "conspiracy" against van der Sloot by everyone from Natalee's parents to the FBI. Hamer addressed those issues in a July 2010 blog that re-surfaced in connection with the Dutch television interview.

In that blog, addressed to President Barack Obama, she refers to the FBI investigation and eventual indictment of van der Sloot for wire fraud and extortion as entrapment. The federal indictment charges that van der Sloot asked the Holloway family for money in exchange for information about Natalee's fate, took the money, but never gave the information. His arrest and imprisonment on the Flores death charges followed soon afterwards.

There is a blog post dated July 10, 2010, apparently posted by Mary Hamer, M.D., making a series of strange claims against everyone from the Holloways to the feds to the media. That posting is copied below.

*THE CRIME OF VIGILANTE JUSTICE or The Crime of Revenge – Whereby No private citizen, nor any government has the right to seek their own form of Vigilante justice -- Outside of the established Rule of Law & Legal system.

*If a person, such as Ms. Twitty, has a grievance with a country’s/state’s Rule Law or execution of justice by the legal system, then that person needs to follow Non-violent methods of protest & follow that country’s Consitition/ Charter regarding methods of instituting change in the system.


If a person d not like the Rule of Law, the legal system of the country/state involved or methods of protest & enacting change -- Then that person needs to leave the old state & find a new country to live in.

2.I am also recommending another New International Rule titled

*THE CRIME of PREDATORY ADULTS Who Target Children & Young Adults. Whereby No Adult has the right to Criminally Threaten, Harass, Stalk or Cyberstalk a Child or Young Adult.

In other words, No Adult has the right to do these Predatory acts to anyone who is 25 years of age or younger. Children & Young adults are vulnerable to Predatory adults with Pre-Meditation that have a Malicious Intent to harm. Children & young adult’s brains, executive centers & decision-making centers are still developing.

Has Mary Monica Hamer ever studied Joran van der Sloot's activities prior to May, 2005?

Those activities including stealing from his own family, the reportedly serious assault of his own brother, his repeated predatory assaults of not only tourist girls but local girls as well, and the killing of his own dog, are just some known examples that debunk her claim that Joran van der Sloot has "never had the intent to harm anyone".

Mary Monica Hamer never once mentions in her ramblings the rights of Natalee Ann Holloway.

Natalee had the right to safety & human dignity even while she celebrated her graduation with her classmates on Aruba, in May 2005.  She had the right not to be preyed upon by Joran van der Sloot and his predatory friends, with the premeditated and malicious intent to harm her for their enjoyment.  She had the right to pursue her life and her dreams when she returned home from that short celebratory trip to Aruba.  She also had the right to justice when she was indeed maliciously, and with premeditation, preyed upon and ultimately murdered on the island of Aruba; Natalee has the right to a proper burial as well.

Where is Mary Monica Hamer's concern for Natalee Holloway's rights?

She seemingly has no concern for that, but Natalee's mother, Beth has fought for over six years for justice for her.  And I'm standing with her.

If Beth were a vigilante, Stephany Flores would be alive today.

The blood of Stephany Flores is not only on Joran van der Sloot's hands, it's on the hands of ALL who covered up the assault and murder of Natalee Ann Holloway on Aruba in May of 2005.  They enabled a murderer to murder again, period.  We all knew it would happen, he was a ticking time bomb.

Is it legal for a licensed radiologist to factually diagnose an internationally known criminal and murderer as having PTSD which resulted in this infamous person to murder again 5 years after he disposed of a prior victim of his injustice? Is it possible for you or your colleagues to please investigate Dr. Mary Hamer to see if she should still be able to maintain her medical license after inserting herself into various criminal cases, most especially Joran van derSloot's incarceration? If she is a doctor of radiology, she is an MD. I don't see a PHD. As far as I can find, she is not a psychiatrist or even a psychologist, so is it ethical for her to diagnose a mental disorder just because she's an MD in radiology? Thank you for your time.

If there are any lawyers or medical board members on or in contact with Scared Monkeys, could you please advise if Dr Mary Hamer is breaking ethics in support of Joran van derSloot but publicly diagnosing a mental health condition? From what I can see, she's a licensed radiologist, not a psychiatrist or psychologist. She's not a neurologist or neurological surgeon either. Can she publicly diagnose as fact to the masses a PTSD on a criminal she's never met in person? What are the legalities that could ensue?

NEW YORK (CBS) Joran van der Sloot, the Dutch national who has been detained several times in the Natalee Holloway case, has now been named the prime suspect in the murder of a Peruvian girl, according to local reports.

Crimesider has been told that an Aruban prosecutor described van der Sloot as being on the run, but we have been unable to independently confirm it.

Early Wednesday morning, Stephany Flores Ramirez, 21, was found dead in a hotel room in Peru located on the avenue Miraflores district of Lima, Peruvian newspaper El Comercio reports. According to police reports, the girl was brutally stabbed and was found wrapped in a blanket in a pool of blood.

Ramirez was the daughter of racecar driver and well-known businessman Ricardo Flores.

According to Peruvian police, she was last seen with van der Sloot, who has not been located.

According to the Peruvian newspaper, the hotel room where Ramirez's body was found was registered under van der Sloot's name. Hotel employees also told police that they saw him with the girl over the weekend.

Five years ago, in May 2005, Alabama high school student Natalee Holloway disappeared during a senior class trip to Aruba. She was 18 when she was last seen leaving a bar with Joran van der Sloot, who was 17 at the time. He was detained in the case several times but Aruban authorities have said they don't have enough evidence to charge him.

UPDATE: BNO News is reporting the Prosecutor's Office in Aruba has confirmed that Joran Van Der Sloot is a suspect in the death of a Peruvian woman. Interpol has reportedly issued an international arrest warrant.

UPDATE: A police news conference is expected in Peru within the hour to confirm or clarify reports concerning Joran Van Der Sloot's alleged involvement in this murder case. CBS42 will update the story as soon as that information comes in.   

An international news agency is reporting Joran Van Der Sloot is a suspect in the murder of a 21 year old woman in Peru. Van Der Sloot was the prime suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba five years ago.  According to BNO News the victim in this new case is Stephany Tatiana Flores Ramirez who was found dead this morning after disappearing Friday. Her family says she was last seen leaving a casino with Van Der Sloot.]

Prosecutor rejects beefed up charges against van der Sloot

Birmingham, Alabama (WIAT)  Peruvian prosecutors have rejected a plea by Stephany Flores' family to have Joran van der Sloot charged with "robbery with murder" which would have carried a possible life sentence.  Instead, the prosecution wants to stick with "murder followed by robbery" which carries a 30 year max.

The public prosecutor in the Peruvian capital Lima says he will maintain the original charge of murder against Dutch citizen Joran van der Sloot. He characterised the charge as ‘clear and coherent’.

The semantics mean decades less sentence for the Dutchman who has already admitted he killed Stephany, a 21 year old student he met at a poker tournament.  Her corpse was found in van der Sloot's Lima hotel room five years to the day of Natalee Holloway's disappearance on a graduation trip to Aruba.  The Mountain Brook teen was last seen leaving an Oranjestad bar with van der Sloot and two other local teens.

Van der Sloot told investigators in Peru that he killed Stephany Flores after she found material about Natalee on a laptop in his hotel room.  He's claiming the equivalent of a crime of passion.  Police investigators say he killed and robbed her because he was broke and desperate.

Van der Sloot is accused of the ‘murder followed by robbery’ of Peruvian Stephany Flores. The charge carries a maximum jail term of 30 years.

The decision by public prosecutor Pablo Sánchez Velarde means he has rejected the Flores family’s request to charge Van der Sloot with robbery with murder, which is punishable by life imprisonment.

Van der Sloot is accused of killing Stephany Flores in his Lima hotel room on 30 May 2010 after meeting her four days earlier in the Atlantic City casino in the Peruvian capital.
