International headlines are shouting, "Michael Jackson drank propofol moments before he died!" These questionable pronouncements allude to the defense theory that Murray's legal team is expected to soon present in a Los Angeles courtroom. Symptoms of a "blame the victim" syndrome are already showing.

While sensational, it should be of no surprise that Murray's lawyers may argue that Michael Jackson took his own life by either injecting himself with propofol or ingesting it. Story-making is surely nothing new when it comes to the King of Pop. Turning the tables on the voiceless is also now in vogue with high-profile criminal defendants. It worked for Casey Anthony, why shouldn't it also work for Conrad Murray? While "blaming the victim" may be a tempting and ultimately effective defense strategy, it is morally suspect when based in fabrication and driven by unsubstantiated factual claims.

They keep saying she is unemployed and broke.  How is she living?  Taking photography and language classes?  Seeing a shrink and a grief counselor?  Planning on leaving the country....she going to swim?

I subscribe to People otherwise I would not have bought it with her picture on it..
The article was not favorable to the Ho at all that I read..I skimmed over it...same old same old.

I don't get it either Algary.  I guess people don't care any more.  No more boycotts or anything.  I won't buy people any longer now.  My list is getting mighty long of things I won't watch, look at, buy, etc. 

I will repeat, the only thing I will ever watch or buy is her being killed or going back to jail forever.

I don't know.  I think her "team" is supporting her for one or all of three reasons. 
#1 they think money will eventually come in
#2 she bad publicity but publicity none the less - they thrive on it
#3 I think she knows some dirty little secrets & they're taking care of her to make sure she doesn't let the cat out of the bag

Given all the monsters currently incarcerated for murdering children I no longer think anyone is at risk from other inmates...I think of Shaniya Davis' mother, Gabriel's mother,  Darcy,  etc.   It's as if no one really cares.

I would also like to share actual conversations I had with an addict/criminal.   I am trying to show a train of thought, so I do not think it is off topic.


Here in Ohio a real monster killed a mother while she was trying to save her preschool son from a molester.   The man had stolen her car WITH HER ID  a week or so before and tracked her down.   She had photos of her child in the car...the child was always the target.

I know people who had been in a treatment program with the murderer.   I knew his roommate very well.  In short, in their mind, the victim was blamed.

I knew there were complaints about the murderer being "gay"   "slow"  "strange" etc.   Then, ( I did not know this until after the murder ) the man had gone around people with a bike in the back  seat of his car...when asked he said it was for his "nephew"...bull, it was bait for a child.

I am so sorry, I did not mean to press post...let me finish the thought though....

Other criminals / addicts, blamed the mother for leaving her ID in the car...said she should have known better.   They also seemed to think the mother should have known what could happen so she was not the HERO I say she is.

It's as if there is a world view that excuses not only their actions, but those of others.   I can only think that must be the case with KC Anthonly and Shaniya's bio mother.  Why else are they still among us WITH supporters?
