    I know this will tick a lot of you off and I'm sorry about that....

    So here's the deal. I think I'm done with talking about the Casey case. I know there are lots of people who are a tad obsessed with the details, but at the end of the day... I'm not one of them. It consumed my professional life for 3 years, but those 3 years are pretty much over. I am moving on, and so should you.

Jim Lichtenstein It doesn't do us any good to have me rehash all of the details. It only feeds the beast that is this national obsession. It's just not healthy. There are so many people that let events of the world rule their lives. 9/11, Viet Nam, Elvis... Don't let this case define you! I'm sorry, but if you mention Caylee or Casey in your FB or Twitter name, then I'm talking to you.

Here's my suggestion. Go play with your kids; ride a bike; hit a movie. And each night when you kiss your kids as they drift off to sleep, squeeze them a little tighter. If this story causes us all to look at our kids a little differently, then something good came out of it.

Bad things happen. Horrible things... We deal with it and go on with our lives. Now is the time to do this.

One of Ashton's former colleagues told WESH 2 News that Ashton is "a pretty independent guy" and that the timing of a run would be perfect.

Ashton was the first prosecutor to get a conviction based on DNA evidence. Ashton used DNA evidence in a 1987 rape case for the first time in a courtroom.

Lamar was first elected as the state attorney for the 9th Judicial Circuit of Florida in 1988. The 9th Circuit serves both Orange and Osceola counties. Lamar often ran unopposed.

Prior to his election, Lamar served as Orange County Sheriff for two years. He also served as a prosecutor and chief assistant state attorney for the 9th Circuit.

Florida's elections office shows two declared candidates for the 9th Circuit state attorney race in 2012 right now -- one is Lamar, the other is Matthew Ryan Williams, a former prosecutor.

On another note, I about threw up in my mouth today when jvm, commentating on the conrad murry trial, said something about how the attorneys were all using charts & graphs in their openings, look what jose baez started. Really? Im sure thats common practice. Not so common to have a doodle pad on an easel &draw ridiculous pictures. When will these talking heads stop acting like he was good? He was a bumbling idiot who got lucky enough to get 12 idiots who were none too intelligent & actually bought his preposterous lies! Even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes.

that is the problem..too many people just 'drop it' and then nothing gets carried through. I personally am not in the mood to drop it or move on until Casey is so miserable she wishes she would have been convicted and safe and cozy back in jail. If Jim wants to move on, that is his choice..but it isn't going to be mine until I am ready..so there!

This bill was filed initially in July by State Representative Juandalynn Givan and would make it illegal for a parent or guardian to not report a child missing or worse yet – that a child  has died.
