‘Dancing With the Stars’ lines up Kristin Chenoweth, Martina McBride, Corbin Bleu

Kristin Chenoweth, who stars in ABC’s upcoming series “GCB,” will help “Dancing With the Stars” salute Broadway next week.

The theater deserves the salute for “The Book of Mormon,” a thrilling new musical, and crowd-pleasing revivals of “Follies,” ”Godspell,” “Anything Goes” and “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.”

The dance contest also has enlisted Martina McBride, the Broadway cast of “Sister Act” and Corbin Bleu of “High School Musical” for next week’s shows.

Chenoweth will perform both Monday and Tuesday. She will sing “Maybe This Time” and “I Could Have Danced All Night” on Monday. She returns Tuesday to deliver “Lessons Learned” from her new album, “Some Lessons Learned.”

“Dancing With the Stars” will showcase the “Sister Act” cast on Monday’s show. The prime-time exposure should help the musical produced by Whoopi Goldberg of “The View.” (Look for a “View” discussion about that on Tuesday.) The seven remaining couples participate in a group dance with a Broadway theme.

On Tuesday’s show, ”Dancing” takes a break from Broadway for McBride to perform “I’m Gonna Love You Through It.” The “Macy’s Stars of Dance” segment celebrates the New York theater district with Bleu dancing the choreography of Kenny Ortega.

The seven remaining celebrities and their partners will dance to Broadway music on Monday. One couple will be sent packing on Tuesday. The celebrities still going for the mirrorball trophy are Ricki Lake, J.R. Martinez, David Arquette, Hope Solo, Chaz Bono, Nancy Grace and Rob Kardashian.
