Today I had a thought about Cher and her attendance.   Can you imagine being beautiful with an outstanding stage presence, and being an icon, and aging?  We can all do the best we can with what we have, but we inevitably age regardless of our resources.   People hold an image and expect us to stay that way.  We can't and people can be so cruel in their comments and judgements.   

I haven't seen much of Cher or Madonna....unless it is on an article showing them without makeup or comparing them to young artist.

I will say this.  When Cher was Madonna's age I think Cher looked much better.  To me Madonna doesn't look so great.  She works out too much.

Just have to say, JR is the best  - Dancer  -  personality  -  Hero.   I have adored him since his appearance on All My Children.  He came on AMC without fanfair and completely took over his role with so much depth that within minutes you never noticed the scars, he is simply wonderul as far as I'm concerned~

In the end I think JR will get all my votes.  I do like Ricki and Derek but I like JR's personality.

Maks to ‘DWTS’ Judges: ‘I Have Nothing to Apologize For’
“Dancing With the Stars” pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy will dance again next week on the hit ABC show after surviving elimination last night, but what he won’t do is back down from negative comments he made this week towards the show’s three judges.

“I definitely have nothing to apologize for,” Chmerkovskiy said today on “Good Morning America.”  “I have nothing to apologize for to Len, and certainly not to Carrie Ann.  She can make all the faces she wants.”

'Dancing With the Stars' week 6 elimination: Chaz Bono's journey comes to an end, Maks apologizes

It's been a long road to get to where he is - and for some fans, a long time coming - but Chaz Bono's adventures on "Dancing With the Stars" has finally come to an end.

The author and advocate looked visibly upset as he and partner Lacey Schwimmer learned of their fate, though Chaz managed to push his pro-acceptance message til the very last minute.

"I came on 'Dancing' to show America a different kind of man," the openly transgender contestant said. "I dedicate this to people like me, who will go on to have great lives and be successful and happy."

"There's not much to say, is there?" a tight-lipped Chaz said Monday night after the judges bashed on his "Phantom of the Opera" tango.

But the advocate's silence didn't last long.

In the confessional booth afterward, Chaz lashed out at judge Bruno, who had called him a "cute penguin."

"I'm tired of being treated like a fat troll dancing with a beautiful woman," he ranted about Bruno's comments, pointing out the hypocracy that "overweight women" are rewarded for losing weight on the show while heavy men are made fun of.

Fellow at-risk couple Maks and Hope Solo got into a tiff with head judge Len Monday night, and Tuesday, Maks offered a half-hearted apology.

"I apologize for saying that this show is mine," he said, adding that "these guys" make the show what what it is, gesturing to the camera and production crew.

When host Brooke Burke pointed out that the judges were entitled to their opinions, Maks asserted "of course, but so are we."

The pro dancer's bad attitude may have been what put him and Solo in limbo, but ultimately, the athlete will have another shot at the mirror ball next week.
