seems Maks has some support with the other dancers..Tony for one..
sometimes I think that the judges are really rude to the contestants. These people have never danced and here they are trying the best they can and get told that they are terrible dancers in so many words etc..I think that the judges could be kinder but still get their pointers across...It would be hard to stand there getting criticized like that and not try to stick up for yourself or your dancing partner..I don't like Hope at all but Maks does have a point when he said that someone who just stands on the dance floor..(Chaz? when his knee hurt?) and the judges weren't that critical of him when someone like Hope does at least move around and gets criticized worse...
but, Maks should not have been so rude..he looked arrogant, especially when he said that it was his show...that is when Derek was shaking his head, like, are you kidding me right now?

"Dancing with the Stars": Emotional Chaz Bono put out of his misery
October 26, 2011

(CBS) After Chaz Bono's difficult tango to the "Phantom of the Opera" on Monday night, his mom got upset. Very upset. Perhaps she will be relieved that her boy - whose astoundingly equitable personality had been a fine feature of the competition - was finally voted off Tuesday by the grouchy grannies at home.

Monday night, Cher had tweeted in reference to judge Bruno Tonioli's criticisms of her son: "I COULD TEACH HIS LITTLE ARM WAVING ASS SOME MANNERS! Critique CHAZ'S DANCE STYLE, MOVEMENTS ETC,.BUT DON'T MAKE FUN OF MY CHILD ON NAT.TV."

Chaz Bono Is Not 'Bitter or Angry' About Leaving Dancing with the Stars
October 26, 2011

Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer are eliminated from Dancing with the Stars

After a tough night on Dancing with the Stars Monday, Chaz Bono and partner Lacey Schwimmer were fired up.

The angry duo said the judges' comments were "disrespectful," and pointed in particular to the way Bruno Tonioli compared Bono to a penguin in his critique.

But on Tuesday, when the pair was eliminated from the competition, it sure seemed like Bono and Schwimmer had put any hard feelings behind them.

"I was quite angry last night," Bono, 42, told reporters backstage right after his dismissal. "But I feel really good today. I'm not leaving the show bitter or angry or anything. I'm grateful for Lacey and everybody I worked with on the show. It was a wonderful, life-changing experience. I'm so glad I did it."

I watched Maks on one of the entertainment shows where he said last time he apologized was to his grandmother before she died.  He is a cocky, nasty bastard.  He seems to be enjoying his new found fame.  But to me he is making himself look like a jerk.

He crossed the line with that comment about apologizing to his grandmother.

What an arrogant, crass excuse for a pro .

Thank-you Muffy, haven't seen the full content of Cher's rant.

Hi Muffy and Good afternoon Monkey's,

Drama Smile  Yes, but, I miss Cloris Leachman's, dramatics!

Do you remember when Cloris, hoisted her leg, on top of her partners shoulder? (impressive)

I need silliness - Max is not silly or fun, he is like a mad moose

oh, sweet Cookie ~ I've been wondering how you've been holding up with all this mad Maks drama  !
Monkey Devil! an angelic monkey

About the Bruno comments to Chaz ~ I am naive and dense ~ I still think Bruno was NOT being purposely hateful to Chaz ~ Bruno tends to say outrageous things, but I've never felt it was to be truly mean or vindictive .   He just starts spewing and spouting and is out of control ~

I know you all will be kind, so here goes;

1)  After hearing what some professionals endure as children, the pressure, expectations, etc., I can see how they would not only have perfectionist tendencies, but egos as well.   I DO NOT condone what Maks said, but maybe with his background and  the stress of having Hope battle him daily, he finally just blew.  I think I heard he alleged Derick gets the best dancers meaning he gets stuck with the difficult ones.

2)  Genius' can be obnoxious.  I have a friend, PhD in math, with limited social skills.  He was thrown out of a bar after arguing a math point to the nth degree ( beyond anyone's understanding ) and name dropping "famous" mathemeticians.

3)  I still appreciate Maks, his talent, his body, his skill, his determination.   I could not deal with the ego.

4)  I do not blame Bruno for any comments towards anyone....he is what he is and that is his personality.

5)  I have been active in the GLBT community since it was only Gay community, so I am not against Chaz in any way.   But I would have thought his comments were whiney who ever said them and I would even tell a butch woman to "man up"...you can't have it both ways.
In the community it is bemoaned that there is a double standard and that men have more benefits in life.   Then Chaz flips it and bemoans the double standard of no one commenting on a woman's weight.  We cannot have it both ways.   Every gender comes with its own societal pressures.

I know I can sound hard, I don't mean to be.  Likely my "old" perfectionist personality traits creeping back in.

You've made some interesting observations & comparisons and I think your opinions are interesting Terri.  You don't strike me as "hard", you've just thought out what you've posted.  And you've backed your opinions up with why you feel that way.

Terri..you sound very logical to me..
Maks does have a point about Derek getting good partners...look back through the years and I can't really think of anyone at this point that wasn't a good partner/dancer for Derek...not sure how it all gets decided who gets who. on an online vote somewhere, it showed that 84% think that Maks has a good point on what he has been saying...forget where I read that at..
anyways, he is getting a lot of press/mentions since he told the judges off.

I was thinking the other day that Cher should just cool it on her tweets and her criticism of the judges. Chaz wants to be a man and not too many men would want their mommies sticking up for them on the air waves in the manner that Cher has done..as a mom of 2 grown sons, I can feel pretty confident in what I am speaking of...at least with my sons it wouldn't go over big ..

Nancy Grace just said that she has lost 21 lbs! go Nancy!

I agree with you on what I've bolded about not too many men would want their mommies sticking up for them on the air waves in the manner Cher has done.

And Nancy Grace has lost 21 lbs!!  That's wonderful!!

Thank you all for being kind.

Cookie, I too have two adult sons.  And let me tell you...they are very clear about their boundaries.  As an example the 21 year old broke down on the side of a very rural freeway in the middle of the night on his way to work.  After an hour of searching I went to his work to see if he had made it only to learn he had been sent to another location for training in a small town and the search continued with me going to the next location,  he was not there, the Highway Patrol helped me, etc......it was practical and necessary but he was embarrassed.   Seems as I drove around including back roads, my son had taken his gps system and ended up in fields, side roads, the freeway, etc.   I just could not find him.  He walked over 12.5 miles and called me from work when he finally arrived.  He swears I ruined his reputation.
I think the only reason he is speaking to me now is because I have the car and have agreed to transport him to and from work until he finds a reliable car he can afford.    Monkey Devil!
