Some more updates on what our celebrity dancers from Season 13 have been up to:

Don't give up on World Peace yet
Despite his poor second season in L.A., it's too early to part with Metta World Peace
December 3, 2011

LOS ANGELES -- This city isn't known for its long-term relationships.

People fall in and out of love here with the regularity of Kim Kardashian during sweeps week.

Metta World Peace, formerly known as Ron Artest, is hoping he doesn't become another fleeting romance this month. After being the toast of Los Angeles following his performance in Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals, World Peace finds himself in a precarious position with the Lakers as the start of training camp approaches on Dec. 9.

The 10 Most Annoying Celebrities of 2011
By BARRY KOLTNOW
The Orange County Register
December 5, 2011

 ::snipping2::
The Kardashian meal ticket is a regular feature on my annual "Most Annoying Celebrities" list, and I won't keep you in suspense. She's right up at the top again. It's silly to turn this list into a dramatic countdown, where No. 1 remains a mystery until you look through the entire list. Kim Kardashian would have been the odds-on favorite to top this list even if her marriage had not ended after 72 days. The extravagant, televised wedding was annoying enough to crown the most famous of the Kardashian sisters as the most annoying celebrity of 2011.

Even the readers of Parade magazine put her at the top of its online poll a few months ago. This is one exceptionally annoying celebrity.

But she's not alone. In fact, you may be surprised to find a few of her relatives on this list, although I can assure you that Rob Kardashian is not among them. Even I have to admit that Kim's little brother has become a likable celebrity as a result of his turn on the TV show "Dancing With the Stars." I thought it was impossible to like anyone in this family until Rob came along.

I'm not sure we need to replace any of the judges, imo.   I know sometimes Len can be a bit acerbic, but I don't think I'd want to change him out.  He and the other judges seem to play off one another as a balance.  I wish we could have Carson on the show in some capacity, though.     I just saw the article and thought it might be interesting for discussion.

Hi, Cookie!
I'm with you ~ I really, really like the judges.  Hopefully, they won't be replaced . . . to me, they are very (usually  Monkey Devil!)
likeable, and generally (usually, again  Monkey Devil!) not purposefully rude with their remarks .

Merry Christmas to all my dancing monkeys ~

'Dancing with the Stars' Bits: Karina Smirnoff and Carson Kressley in the News
December 7, 2011

Dancing with the Stars season 13 may be over, but that just means that the celebrities and professional dancers have more time on their hands for other activities. And other activities mean more news for us to report. This time around, professional dancer Karina Smirnoff and celebrity Carson Kressley are the ones making the DWTS news.
Karina Smirnoff Ends Her Engagement

Carson Kressley Set to Star in a Christmas Movie
What is Christmas without cheesy made-for-TV movies teaching us the season's true meaning? Next year, Carson Kressley will get in on the holiday fun when he co-stars in a Hallmark Channel update of the classic Charles Dickens story, A Christmas Carol.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the new movie, Caroling, will focus on a successful book publisher, Carol Huffman (played by Emmanuelle Vaugier of Two and a Half Men), whose drive and ruthless demeanor mean that she has no personal life and a group of employees who despise her.

Carson Kressley's part in all of this will be as a colleague of Carol's who is secretly organizing a coup to take her down. Star Wars' Carrie Fisher will play the (deceased) founder of Carol's publishing company, who will guide the woman on her life's past, present and future.

The movie is set to premiere next year, during the 2012 holiday season.

The Chmerkovskiy Brothers of "Dancing with the Stars" to give lessons Sunday in Ridgefield
December 13, 2011

DANCING WITH THE STAR DANCERS

Ever want to pretend to be a celebrity hoofer for a day? Professional dancers Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his brother Val Chmerkovskiy will give people the "Dancing With the Stars" treatment at seminars this weekend.

TELL ME MORE: Maks, a celebrity dancer/choreographer on "DWTS," and his younger brother — who has also appeared on the ABC show — will do hour-long seminars this weekend at their three Dance With Me Studios — in Long Island, Manhattan and Ridgefield. Odessa-born Maks spends a lot of time in Los Angeles these days, but he has a house in Fort Lee and deep roots in the area. In 1996, when he was 16, he and his dad opened Rising Stars Dance Academy, a school for young competitive dancers in Fair Lawn. About six years ago, he and his family turned their attention to adults, launching Dance With Me in Ridgefield, the first of three social-dance studios in that franchise. This weekend, Maks and Val will be teaching a little bit of "everything" at their seminars, Maks says.
 ::snipping2::
DETAILS: 2 p.m. Sunday (Maks' seminar), 3 p.m. Sunday (Val's seminar). Dance With Me Studio, 685 Bergen Blvd., Ridgefield. $100 members, $125 non-members. 201-941-7797 or dancewithmeusa.com.

Anna Trebunskaya: I Can Tell Who’ll Win DWTS After the First Show
By Gina Carbone
December 15, 2011

 ::snipping2::
Anna and her DWTS hubby Jonathan Roberts are now performing in "Champions of the Dance” in Philadelphia. Anna gave a fun new interview to Philly.com, sharing details on her dancing life story, anecdotes about her DWTS partners and info about her teaching process.

"After about the first show on Dancing With the Stars, I can tell which of the celebrities is going to win,” Anna said. “Like from the first [Season 12] show, I said Hines [Ward] was going to win. Same with [Iraq war veteran] J.R. Martinez: I said he was going to win. By the second or third show, I pretty much name the finalists. I'm pretty much right about it."

He nabbed a mirror ball trophy on Dancing With the Stars last month, but the biggest and best prize is yet to come. J.R. Martinez tells PEOPLE exclusively that he and girlfriend Diana Gonzalez-Jones are expecting their first child next spring.

"We found out just last week it's a girl and we are over the moon," Martinez, 28, says. "Diana has a little baby bump now and it's the cutest thing ever. With the holidays coming up, this is the biggest and best gift we could get."

Dancing With The Stars “Season Retrospective” December 23rd On The Nancy Grace Show
Written by: Voguerista

Last night on the Nancy Grace Show, she mentioned that her December 23rd show will be an hour devoted to Dancing With The Stars and her time dancing with Tristan MacManus. If it’s like her shows in the recent past, she may have other stars of Dancing With The Stars as guests as well. So, mark your calendars. I really have to give it to Nancy. Along with Tristan, she’s went full out promoting Dancing With The Stars and it’s pros and celebrities. I hope she’ll keep doing this each season. She does a great job and she’s funny too!
