Now we have to split our votes between the top person and Carson.  This way Rob goes home

No, Rob would still be there (ackkkk) and Nancy would go home.

True.  OK Nancy and Carson.

David Arquette is weird.  Someone asked me today if I thought Rob Kardashian had feminine moves.  I was like ummmmm I'm not sure.  He said he thought he did.

"Dancing with the Stars": Kristin Cavallari heads for the hills
October 5, 2011

TV personality Kristin Cavallari, right, and her partner Mark Ballas perform on "Dancing with the Stars," on Oct. 3, 2011.
(Credit: ABC)

(CBS) Are you ready for some insanity?

"Dancing with the Stars" is largely a popularity contest, occasionally tempered with a certain guilt on the part of the voters when someone is actually a very good dancer. But there will surely be much gnashing of false teeth after the ridiculous, bizarre, nonsensical, asinine, ludicrous, demented elimination of Kristin Cavallari.
The reality show personality - who had finally given reality show personalities a good name after the abject behavior of Kate Plus Hate in a previous "Dancing" season - was sent off to the hills in one of the odder cases of America finally losing what remains of its brains.

Good morning Monkey's,

People vote for the personality they like, not for the dancing.  "It is what it is" Chaz Bono. Smile

Kristin Cavallari: DWTS Is "Clearly Not a Dance Competition"
October 5, 2011

  Is K-Cavs mad?

Kristin Cavallari was as shocked and bummed as everyone else to be shown the door on Tuesday night's elimination episode of Dancing with the Stars.
The reality star, 24, scored high marks and praise from the judges in the first three weeks of the ABC smash -- nabbing 24 out of 30 points (just 3 points shy of leader Ricki Lake) for her "Crazy in Love" samba with Mark Ballas on Monday's show.

"I'm really sad," Cavallari told Us Weekly after the elimination at Ubisoft 's launch of Just Dance 3 at The Beverly in West Hollywood.
"But," mused the Hills star, "I'd rather go out on top and have people be shocked than have people be like, 'Thank god she's leaving, it's about time.' It was the best experience I've ever had. I could not be happier that I did the show."

She mused that, perhaps, viewer votes had little do with her actual dancing skills. "It is what it is," she told Us. "That's the thing with Dancing with the Stars, you never know," she said, laughing. "It's clearly not a dance competition!"

I knew when Pamela Anderson was voted off a few years ago, it was not a dance competition. Pam was so elegant, gracefuland and nailed her dances and was voted off.  Sad

Mark Ballas' 'DWTS' blog: Over so soon?
By Mark Ballas, Special for USA TODAY
October 6, 2011

For some reason, I woke up this morning with a bad feeling in my stomach, something just didn't feel right. I sit here writing this still in shock that Kristin and I will not be dancing another week.
So many questions have been running through my head. Was it something I did? Was it the choreography? Did they calculate the votes wrong? I just can't seem to figure it out.

The best explanation would have to be the fan voting. Tom Bergeron told Kristin and I backstage that it was just one of those weeks that people at home assumed we would be safe so they didn't bother voting. This just goes to show how important it is for viewers to vote for their favorites.

I honestly thought Kristin and I had a shot at the mirror ball trophy and it saddens me that her journey was cut short. Kristin did a tremendous job and made huge strides in such a short amount of time. The samba is one of the most difficult dances to learn but she nailed it.

Muffy,

Thank-you for bring up MB's track record.  He is a good dancer, but he applies the same techniques, all the time.
MB can shake his booty, but he needs more creativity, like Derek.

So almost half the time, MB was eliminated in the 3rd week?

Takes two to tango, the dancers need the right partner.

Kristin Cavallari: 'Dancing With the Stars' boot kicks up fan ire
October 5, 2011

Kristin Cavallari got the boot on "Dancing With the Stars" Tuesday night, but fans of the dance competition think that Chaz Bono was the one who deserved to go home.

On Monday, Cavallari nabbed a 24/30 score for her "Crazy In Love" samba with pro Mark Ballas while Bono earned a meager 18 points for his rumba set to his father Sonny Bono's "Laugh at Me." But Tuesday's results sparked the ire of the audience and boos from the crowd when Cavallari and her partner were voted out of the competition because of low audience votes. Perhaps a tweet from Cher, Bono's mom, promising that she'd be in the audience if her son made it to week four might have tipped the scales?

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said Bono "looked really distracted ... not quite focused in the dance." Len Goodman said it was his best performance though he still had much work to do and Bruno Tonioli said he looked "a little bit lost" during the performance. Nonetheless, viewers kept the competition's first transgender contestant on for another week. Watch the dances below and judge for yourself.

Don't ya think it is about ratings?  Who is gonna watch next week?

It is easy to say it is a "voting" democracy - but who patrols the "voting"?

Bono is the worst non-dancer in the competion, but he/she is a very likeable person. Smile
I think the public needs inspiration and they find it through Chaz, in some unusal manner. IMO
