Was hoping you'd be online now and here you are!!!! Had to take a neighbor without a car to TraderJoes near LAX and next door was a Crownbook Discount store!!!

The first book I found is a very nice $30 book I got for $1 and tomorrow I am going back and hopefully buy them all out of this Title" America's Heroes" Inspiring Stories of Courage, Sacrifice and Patriotism... all about Sept. 11

 Several pages on PA but does tell of the courage of the 911 operators and regular operators during the mission of Flight 93... it tells of a 911 operator who spoke with Todd Beamer. Her name is Lisa Jefferson. You might know here

PS... I am a happy camper.. two of the books are on Sept 11 the rest are computer books.. got $300 worth of books including tax was $17.00 including 2 pair of sunglasses!!

Oh a customer told the checkout there was a bird in the back.. I told them I'd try to take it outside if they'd give me some plastic bags to bag it... it wasn't large and was trying to fly through the glass.. I did it and put in a safe area outside and then it tried to jump on the railing of the window and get back in.

Downside is most of the computer books have a CD and now I see they are only for Windows and I have Mac.. oh well..read on

Some of the mistakes were harder to explain. Late one Friday night, CNN reported that at least one of the suspects had confessed. AP quickly followed with a report that he was leading police to the evidence. Moments later, a half dozen news crews sped down a pitch-dark dirt road toward an abandoned beach where police were supposedly digging up a body. Nothing. Officials ranging from the original source right up to the prime minister quickly denied the initial reports.

As guiltily competitive as the rest, I crept out later that night with a Birmingham television crew that was filming distant, spotty footage of men digging in the dunes – probably just local bootleggers pulling up their stash of booze.
