I'm glad that Tim Miller is going on his search. I hope he finds Natalee. However, I don't see how the discovery of a body is necessarily going to advance the case against any of the suspects. They'll still have to connect some dots to prove that the suspects were involved. I just don't see it happening.
Deepak Kalpoe - "if they find the body then they will see that shit"
Deepak Kalpoe-"You will get 15 years if they find that girl"
Did they ever question Deepak about those statements? It better be in that dossier!!

It is my understanding that Dr. Phil et al, requested anything in the K2s possession or knowledge, that would address certain points (discovery). In response to this request, K2 listed a number of PV, etc. in their file. They did not attach the copy of the documents, only the name. They are now trying to say these items are privileged by some rule 45 (which by the was, also states, communication about file is privileged and David Kock, along with everyone else has discussed items
).
IMO, Joran's file might have different documents and/or more documents than K2. The prosecutor may even have more documents, not given to either of them. I don't have a legal back round, so this post is open for interpretation.
Thanks
Buckeye
Just wondering who's PV made the list and why?

If we were to take this business about not questioning suspects without new evidence literally, just how long would it take to come up with a good reason to do just that? “We talked to John Doe and his statement disagrees with yours, so we need you to come back in and clarify.” Done Deal!

those 2 statements alone are enough to convict Deepak. I'm sure if he faced faced with conviction, he would sing like a bird.

What is the point of keeping someone under "suspect" status, if you can't ask them about the suspected crime? I think something is wrong with that interpretation of Dutch/Aruban law.
Easy ... my original thinking was along the same lines. It was my contention if Joran, Satish and Deepak could not be brought in for further questioning ... what did the suspect status mean? However ... I learned that retaining the suspect status implies that the prosecutor has the option of trying them in an Aruban court of law in connection with the Natalee Holloway case.

ANTONIO CARLO, JORAN VAN DER SLOOT`S ATTORNEY: OK, the information that I can provide at this time is that my client, under the Aruban law, cannot be obligated to come before the (INAUDIBLE) prosecutor to answer questions because he has now -- he has been released without any conditions. So under Aruban -- under Aruban law, he cannot be obligated to be brought forth to answer questions.

I forget the technical name for their legal system. The lawyers get paid by suing the government for costs. I would think that this would be an incentive for Aruba to solve and bring this case to trial....unless of course, the money comes from some Dutch entity. Maybe the Dutch incentive is to not pay legal fees. Deepak explained a little of this, in the Skeeter's tape. IIRC
maybe everyone is wrong about the Arubans and Dutch... maybe it is the Aruban's through all their bullshit that they have swung the power balance?
Just looking at this all in a logical way.. if I controlled a Kingdom, I would be telling them what they should be doing!! It seems the other way around especially with all the mouthing done by Oduber and Croes over the last year...
I bet these Dutch are intimidated by the Arubans.
come on Rob - the ARUBANS were initmidated by a pettite little woman froma Alabama!! How could these morons intimidate anyone, they are complete idiots !!
The Dutch ASKED to carry guns last year... at this point who doesn't have a gun on Aruba? Only the Dutch. LOL ~ so much for hand gun laws huh?
Who conducts an International Investigation is secrecy?? only the wussies from Holland. An not to mention this investigation totally relies on Aruba's ability to remain a viable commodity in the market... so as far as I can see... no one thinks it's a big deal...so If I cared about Aruba being something ever again, I would be screaming from the roof tops that we are doing all we can.... I don't believe all that secrecy stuff.
The only people who hide behind secrecy are liars and co-conspirators.

oh so Cock explains it to us. Under "Aruban Law" they can not be brought in.
But of course we know there is really know such thing as Aruban law as Aruba works under Dutch law.
So under Aruban Law - we just dont understand their system because we are stupid Americans, they just make the rules as they go. But they are not really laws because the Aruban judicial system works under Dutch law.

Look's like Aruba changed when the last american was murdered back in the late 90's. Ever since then it has been all suicides, accidents or they just vanished.
AND WE HAVE A WINNER FOR THE BIG FIRST PRIZE!
No kidding!!!!.... there is a huge huge HUGE story here. This is nothing
new
to SA. It's all new to America. The things that have happened on Aruba to all these other people is unreal... and I mean UNREAL!
You all know most of it, but there is a bunch more that has happened to the people left trying to get answers here.... it's an effin disaster.
Anyone going there is a complete idiot...
I can't help but think this was all the work of Oduber and his Associates. Better to deny everything then to have a tourist that was murdered. He is behind all of these groups that will protect Aruban Tourism at all costs. He seems to have special accounts that pay for these campaigns just like the 250,000 bribe to the dirty lobbyist.
At first I thought this was all new with Natalee until I found out it's happened to just about every other tourist crime victim on Aruba. I don't think Oduber invented it, but it's his baby.

I bet you money that those Dutch law professors would disagree with Mr. Carlo, law partner of Paulus Van Der Sloot about that one.
It is an ongoing investigation and that requires questioning the MAIN suspects! These guys can be charged at any time over the next 18 years. It would just have to start at the beginning once more and go through the 8 days, 8 days, yada, yada, yada.

I think some of the Politians were looking for a quick fix and made some seriously bad moves. Once they did, it has been the old “cover my ass” routine ever since and now they are in so deep there is no way they will back off and admit their wrongdoing.
