Baez was on his way to Harvard Law School on Tuesday night to speak with students. Before he left, he was asked if he read reports online about his client.  He joked, "The only thing I pay attention to online is news about the Seminoles and the Yankees."

And, as far as the safety of the jurors, he said, "I wish I could buy all of them pit bulls. They deserve to be safe. I don't want this to stop anyone from wanting to serve on a jury in the future."

  big old fat butthead
What the h3ll is he doing speaking at Harvard?  He can't even spell.  I'll bet he's not doing it for free either.  Our tax dollars at work, folks.
He was on GMA this morning discussing the Michael Jackson case....... pfft.

Jose Baez: Jurors the lifeblood of justice, don't vilify them for doing duty
By Jose Baez | Guest columnist
October 26, 2011
"Nothing can be more abhorrent to democracy than to imprison a person or keep him in prison because he is unpopular. This is really the test of civilization."
-Winston Churchill, "Closing the Ring"

Almost four months ago, the jury in the trial of Casey Anthony found her not guilty of murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of a child — and the jurors have paid for it ever since.

They have paid for it at the hands of pundits and so-called veteran court watchers, who have relentlessly denounced the verdict and the jurors. It is no surprise that only three of the 17 jurors and alternate jurors had chosen to identify themselves before all the names were released on Tuesday. The media-fueled backlash had left them with little choice but to remain anonymous.

What we have witnessed in these four months is an assault on a jury of our peers who answered the call and endured severe hardships in doing so.

They listened closely to all of the facts. They followed the instructions, which were given to them with respect to the law, and in the end, they applied the facts to the law in a struggle to determine whether the prosecution had proved its case beyond a reasonable doubt. We all know the conclusion this jury reached, and I applaud the jurors for it. Not simply because I believe justice was done in the case of Casey Anthony, but because I believe they upheld the highest precepts of our judicial system.

Report Nbc News Producer Aims To Land Casey Anthony Interview

I'm a little confused.  They have a photo of a woman.  Is it supposed to be the producer in question?

Casey Anthony book: Publishers aren't biting
http://shelf-life.ew.com/2011/10/25/casey-anthony-book/

Simon and Schuster: “We are 100% not interested.  We are NOT NOT NOT  interested. Simon & Schuster is not publishing, and has never intended to publish, any book by Casey Anthony, her family, or any member of her team.

Harper Collins: “We are planning on publishing the Prosecutor’s book who was involved in the Casey Anthony case, so we have no plans in releasing a Casey Anthony book.  We’re sticking with the prosecutor.”

Penguin Group: “We have no plans on doing a book deal with Casey Anthony.”

Another publisher went so far as to say, “Hell no … it’s blood money.”

Not sure if this has been posted but really liked it just wished news media etc would follow suit

It's so hard not to be bitter, isn't it?  I've struggled with this since that awful July day too, and I'm sure many legions have as well.  There are no doubt a huge number of people 'out there' (maybe 89% or so, wink-wink?) who feel the same as we do.

Caylee was murdered, dumped like garbage, sold out to save her murderer's hide, disrespected, dishonored, thrown under the bus, blamed for her own death, and heinously robbed of justice.  None of it ever should have happened.  IMO

Nope, that bitter pill is just too dang big for me to swallow, too.
Yes, it is and I will gag on that pill for the rest of my life.

you know I dated a guy for 7 yrs & we were engaged.   I  found out he was a cheater (young 19 & 20 year olds) & running a porn site a month before we were to marry.  I was devastated and knew I'd never experience that kind of hurt, pain, injustice, anger and hopelessness again.

I was wrong.......thank you jurors aka village idiots.

Good morning, Monkeys--

Oh s**t the only thing these idiots endured was worrying about missing their planned vacations.  IMO they all lived better and ate better than they had in their entire miserable lives.  Nice place to live, maid service, catered meals, eating in best restaurants in Orlando, dessert delivered every afternoon. A judge who catered to their every whim.  They never had it so good.  What a waste of money. They should have been put in the local Motel 8 and fed Burger King.

The "justice" system in this country allows the defense to tell any story it wants no matter how preposturous or outlandish, truth or not, while the defense has to stick to the sometimes unbelievable and boring facts.  In this case, the jury was just looking for an out because they couldn't conceive of a mother so ruthless that she would kill her daughter to go out and party.  Baez said yesterday that they decided the case by the law and the facts.  What facts!  He didn't present anything that even remotely resembled facts because our system allows him to lie all he wants with no repercution.

Too bad you didn't take the same oath Mr. Baez and tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth......... Your opening statement was despicable and your trial tactics abhorrent.  So throw stones some other place.  You are as guilty as your client.  Shame on you

Jay Leno made fun of the jury,THAT is their legacy.END of story.

There are some comments defending Bozo.  I guess his co-counsel had to clear their schedules today to spend it posting comments.   Monkey Devil!

We have a constitutional right to express our opinions and the jurors have a right to decline to speak.

However, in all of the one-sided coverage of the "sainted" jury, why is there never a mention of the juror whose first act was to hire an agent and demand $50,000 for an interview?  It's also fair commentary to analyze what the jury did-- and did NOT- do to reach the absurd verdict.

If the system cannot learn from its mistakes, we are doomed to repeat them!

In that vein, and to state the obvious, Bozo perpetrated FRAUD after FRAUD on the process. If THAT grotesque abuse of the system isn't also addressed, we have lost a significant opportunity to address the ability of a WHOLLY UNETHICAL so-called attorney to thwart justice.

It hasn't been posted yet, but this was mine:

Quote
Mr. Baez, are these the same jurors you would have based an appeal or verdict-reversal plea on had Casey been found guilty?  Would you be so quick to defend them and their decision, and I dare say "applaud them" and state they "upheld the highest precepts of our judicial system" if Casey was in real prison instead of her own personal prison right now?  I think not.  You would have complained of media bias, issues the defense team had with the prosecution in front of them, judicial misconduct.....anything you could throw and make stick.  Fortunately my monitor has a teflon coating when reading this kind of editorial.
